Not me. Sony still hasn't justified my base PS5. If pandemic GPU prices weren't so outrageous I probably would have just upgraded that instead.

I might bite on the upgrade. Played it on PC. Have yet to play it on console. Besides I got it free in their giveaway a few years ago.

I thought it was good. At least it wasn't another, "hello fellow kids, here's our multiplayer game lineup" situation like the past few. And they finally announced the kind of game I bought into this ecosystem to play.

I've been waiting for this.

Sony wasted no time putting itself in that Ubisoft/Electronic Arts category of companies on PC.

Ah yes, let's paint that silver lining...
Come on. Sony's few major first player studios having /something/ in the works that will release /sometime/ might comfort some, but Nintendo has 3 games releasing in the Zelda and Mario franchises before the year ends. Their fans are being taken care of. We aren't. Why sugar coat it?

Yeah it was pretty obvious from the demo that the PS5 wasn't the target hardware

Nah. PS5 is more than enough PlayStation for me.

Now Nintendo can swoop in and steal the shine.

Online functionality, features =/= live service. A live service is one with frequent updates to both content and balance leading to an ever shifting meta to keep the game feeling new to long term players. Long term in this case being years, potentially decades.

What irks me is that these sub services are making Sony and MS heaps of money but since there's no more growth in it they've scaled back their efforts a ton.

They'll do it too. They pulled the plug on Hyper Scape and that game was good. Their skins game sucked. Pre-release adjustments made the TTK too long, but man that game was fun in beta.

Need to play Nier Replicant, will probably just play Overwatch

Tired of seeing this one given a pass because it was technically competent. The bottom line is that these devs failed to find the fun.
