For my money, Pacific Drive is GOTY

8/10 for me. Too many of the challenge levels create "difficulty" by making the next obstacle impossible to see. Splashing Sprint is genuinely awful.

Are people aware that the social features have been thoroughly busted for months? Cross-play friend requests don't work for large swaths of the playerbase. It's a scandal they continue to tinker with balancing rather than fix the basics

@RiceC03 See, I'm tempted to sell my PC and my fat PS5 and just go Pro. Dealing with crashes, random bluetooth failures, and the genuinely unpleasant experience of Windows on a TV isn't worth it vs. a 3090-equiv. PlayStation

They sold me on it. I'm disappointed in myself, lol. Just seems like an indispensible GTA6 upgrade

@NEStalgia I'm perfectly happy to pay $70-80 + DLC cost for the 250+ hours I got from HFW. I don't feel ripped off in the slightest. I'll get even more bang for the buck from Monster Hunter Wilds.

Your contention seems to be that AAA gaming needs to die and that the industry needs to make everything cheap, stupid, and loaded with live service gimmickry because today's kids are used to awful iPhone games marketed to them by Instagram ads.

@NEStalgia The last thing I'd want to see is fewer ambitious, beautiful games like HFW. This is why I'm willing to pay more. Just speaking for myself, I'm willing to believe that price would drag down demand too much overall.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner 8-bit games were made with teams of 4-5 people, plus some testers. Horizon Forbidden West had 300 full-time employees working on it. C'mon man

A $50 NES game in 1990 would cost $120 in today's dollars. With that in mind, I am personally okay with paying $80 for something like GTA 6.

Yeah I'm not surprised they don't want PS Stars to result in an instant $5 back if you do one of those monster annual subscription payments. If you combine PS Stars with Costco gift cards and buying digital games on sale you do pretty well.

I'm not really a fan of using of Followers unless it's driving the story, but I'm glad it's an option for others

TLOU2's perfect combat was bogged down by Druckmann's tedious script; Factions 2 would have been a killer app for the PS5. It's a crying shame.

@Neilypoos I also get the black screen. If you follow the onscreen instructions and put the sense controller on the floor when you are on the floor height step you'll get a decent basic play area.

Some report that if you try every USB port on your computer, you'll eventually find one that works. I'm fine with the basic play area for the moment so I haven't tried this.

Eurogamer just reported the Sense controllers are a nightmare to get working with Windows which is very believable. Maybe I just get a Quest

The only real advantage PSVR2 has over PC competitors is Gran Turismo 7 exclusivity. I haven't played Alyx yet but GT7 is my favorite VR game by a country mile
