Prince of Persia was a lot of fun. I doubt I’ll play it again though. I am looking forward to trying Syberia out having played the original in the 90’s.
I didn't realise Syberia was still going, has anyone given this a go? I played the first one on PC a loooooooong time ago and really enjoyed it. Quite fancy a slower paced game.
She's a phenomenal actress and I have no doubts she is going to do the character justice. Have just been watching her in "Apple Cider Vinegar" on Netflix and she is so incredibly compelling at all times.
I was unable to play BG3 on my profile during the outage, but my gf who has a profile which does not have a psn account was able to play BG3 perfectly fine. So weird!
I think the explanation was adequate but I would like them to address not being able to access single player content when the network is down.
Voice acting is brilliant for the most part but the game is slightly let down by the odd bad voice actor, especially those with atrocious accents, which really breaks immersion for me. Innkeeper Betty's attempt at a Northern accent just sounds Jamaican and there have been some absolutely terrible Scottish accents too. I am also not a fan of how some characters have multiple voice actors which is incredibly jarring.
That being said, I am really enjoying the world and the pace of it. Find combat incredibly challenging at the moment but hope I can figure it out and get a little better!
I am still excited to get the pro. If I didn't have a 55" 4K TV with hdmi 2.1 and VRR I might give it a pass, but I'm a sucker for having the latest gadget so it was a bit of an easy sell for me. I do value graphics a lot and so I am happy to pay for that improvement.
@Moj500 No, I am talking on behalf of myself. If people are excited about extra content then I'm pleased for them. I purchased and finished the game and for me additional content isn't going to get me interested in it again.
This game had a lot of potential but unfortunately fell massively short. The story was tedious and the gameplay was incredibly dull after several hours of playing and I don't think additional content is going to improve any of that.
I did find Tsushima incredibly repetitive with a boring empty world for the most part. Stunning setting but let down by the lack of variety. If they can address that then I may dip in, but we shall see!
@BecauseBecause A remastered Curse of Monkey Island would be fantastic! I replayed the entire series before Return came outand Curse would look fantastic with higher resolution and some polish!
@MrPeanutbutterz thank god there is somebody on the same page as me. I found the writing absolutely excruciating and the characters so unlikeable and two dimensional.
Up there as one of the best adventure games of all time, holding joint first place with Monkey Island! I have lost count of how many times I’ve played this and how many devices I’ve played this on, and so I’ll likely purchase again.
It's a deliberately ambiguous comment which neither says there is or is not some kind of deal and for everyone to just assume this means an exclusivity deal has been struck is just wild. To me it smacks of Microsoft diverting attention away from their own shortcomings.
After hearing some positive things I did give it a go and I could not get into it no matter how hard I tried. Did not get beyond Team DM mode and that felt very ordinary. Perhaps the other modes are better but I am turned off by what I’ve played already and deleted it fairly immediately.
I don’t know when these companies will learn that cut scenes are not what people want to see. I do think the reception may have been a little less cold had they not spent a third of the show on one single game, with mostly cut scenes.
There were a handful of nice looking games, with astrobot obviously being top dog there. I’d say it was about a 6-7 and more or less as I’d have expected.
A 9 playing with friends, perhaps an 8 when playing with not so vocal randoms. A lot of the joy comes from sharing the experience with those on the mic!
Astrobot is definitely one of the biggest gems of this whole PS5 console generation. A full-sized game would be fantastic and I would drop good money for that.
Loving this a lot. Been playing mostly 3 player with 2 of my pals and man, haven't cried laughing playing a game in such a long time. It's a ton of fun and as the difficultly increases it just gets more and more ridiculous and more more and entertaining.
I have done a few missions solo but it definitely loses that magic. A couple of times I've played with randoms have been great. Even though people aren't speaking on mics there is still that sense of team work and helping each other out, which is nice.
Steam reviews for the PC version are quite mixed at the moment - some people are experiencing a lot of crashes to desktop, and a lot of people have issues with the anti-cheat software that comes in the PC version. Apparently there are some progression paywalls also, which is a bit disappointing if true.
Anyone else get Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen vibes from V? I was sure it was a remake until they announced the name.
I thought it was mostly very good. Wasn’t so interested in Stellar Blade before today but it showed off very well! Judas looks amazing also. DS2 looked great and as somebody who has never played, or really had any interest in DS1, it did make me consider giving DS1 a go.
I have to say, I didn’t think much to the graphics of Rise of the Ronin.
Didn’t like the first game at all but I am planning on picking this up, as soon as I’m done with BG3. It came out at a tough time with lots of great games to compete with so unsurprisingly sales would be down. I’m sure there are many like me who plan on playing once they work through their backlog.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I watched a number of YouTube videos which really helped me get to grips with it. Having a slightly better understanding really elevated my enjoyment of it. If feeling a little lost, as I did, I highly recommend checking out some “thing I wish I’d known…” / “beginners guide to…” type of videos
It’s a great idea. I can sometimes overthink my decisions and reload when I think I’d prefer a different outcome. Being completely accountable for everything and just having to stick with it, as stressful as it might be, would definitely make for a much quicker and a more weighted play through, which I quite like the sound of!
@kyleforrester87 Yea, I have no doubt they will get it right, but I detest that side of social media and playing video games is a good way to escape it. Hopefully they implement it in a way that doesn't grate, and as @Steel76 says, if we can blow them up perhaps i'll let it slide
Anyone else find the social media elements just so incredibly cringe? Games trying to be relevant in this way just rub me up the wrong way. This may not even be relevant in 2025 (Fingers crossed).
This is a stark reminder of how big my backlog is! Tears of the Kingdom and BG3 really have consumed all of the hours I have available to play this year that I haven’t played any of the other games on the list yet.
A fantastic game.I remember being so wowed by the graphics, particularly the water when I played this the very first time.
Played it through again during lockdown but probably won’t pick this up. Still, for anyone who hasn’t played it before this is definitely a good way in!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
9/10 for me. I can't stop thinking about it.

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (PS5) - Immersive Knight Sim Makes for a Peerless RPG
Damn. This might just be my next game then! Been waiting for the next thing to play since finishing Alan Wake 2 as nothing has been taking my fancy.
How does it compare to BG3 in terms of the impact of your actions on the development of the story? Is there much replay value?

Played it when I first got my PS5 and found it an absolute slog. No idea why they are remastering this when Sony seemed cold on it.
