Re: Stellar Blade's PS5 User Score Keeps Getting Higher and Higher

__jamiie

It really doesn't deserve to be considered one of the PS5's best games but I'm fairly sure that some of the scores given are as inflated as the protagonist's chest.

I also read somewhere today that people are demanding (and getting) refunds because 2 of the costumes aren't as skimpy as they would like. That's a great demonstration as to why the games industry is unlikely to ever shed its immature image.

Re: Microsoft 'Meeting Players Where They Are' as Xbox Games Among PS Store's Bestsellers

@NxtDoc Yet you decided to type. I also like how, once again, you decided to ignore facts. Pretty much every first party PlayStation game that people love, has been developed by a studio Sony has bought. That's a fact. I don't actually see anything wrong with that at all. That's the nature of business and console manufacturers trying to obtain exclusive content. What I do disagree with, is the perception that Sony are some benevolent games industry saviour who only do things the right way, and only think of the players. They didn't try to stop the ABK buyout for the good of gamers. They did it to secure their own position and profits. And, I repeat, if they could have afforded to do the same thing then they would have.

And calling me close minded because I don't agree with you is the epitome of closed mindedness. I own a PlayStation, an Xbox and many other systems. I'm not blinded by the lights of my DualSense to be biased towards one system or another.

Re: Stellar Blade Half-Second Input Delay Due to 'Game's Style of Animation', Says Director

😂 Yeah it's deliberate! There was no possible way we could have made this game without an input delay. And the English dub was deliberately bad because we were sick of games with well written, good voice acting.

Some people seem to be really enjoying it so I still think I'll get it at some point. My interest has waned though so I'm thinking probably a year or so from now when it's around £30.

Re: Stellar Blade (PS5) - A Stellar PS5 Debut Destined to Become a Fan Favourite

I always play a game in its original language wherever possible so the English dub doesn't affect me at all (although annoying for those who prefer dubbed games). I even stuck with Sine Mora's Hungarian.

The last 3 cons you listed make it seem more like a 7/10 for me though. I'll pick it up physically at some point when it's reduced. £45 would be the sweet spot.

It seems obvious to say that Nier Automata's crown is safe.

Re: PS5, PS4 Ports of Xbox Survival Game Grounded Out Now

@Specky Because you can play the whole with a demo can't you?

What if the demo doesn't really tell you everything you want to know about the game? My Game Pass Ultimate subscription and my Nintendo Switch Online subscription both offer great value.

My PS+ subscription (which expired in February) offered no value.

Re: GTA 6: Everything We Know So Far

Here's what I know so far:

It will have a fairly decent single player story mode with R* promising that there will never be any kind of story expansions ever released.

R* will prioritise online play and make billions from this over the next 25 years.

Storylines and missions from the single player mode will gradually be deleted over the years following the game's launch to allow players to focus on the online mode.

Whilst it will be reasonably playable on this gen of systems, it will only truly shine on PlayStation 7 and the Sega Dreamcast 2.

On the 3 year anniversary of the game releasing on PlayStation 7 and Dreamcast 2, rumours start circulating that R* have started initial talks to possibly consider beginning development on Red Dead Redemption 3.

The fictional state of Leonida that GTA6 is set in begins to generate so much money that its GDP allows it to officially become it's own sovereign nation.

The only other release from R* during this time is a 1080p port of 'Rockstar Games Presents: Table Tennis' for PS4 which is launched in 2036 to celebrate the game's 30th anniversary.

That's all I know for sure so far.

Re: TV Show Review: Fallout - RPG Series Marks Another TV Triumph

I've always thought that games adaptations are better served as a series rather than a film.

Imagine trying to cram The Last of Us into a 2 hour film.

I also hope this trend continues as there are some amazing stories and worlds out there in video game form only.

For anyone who has watched any of it, do you need to have played a lot of the games to follow the story?
