@UnlimitedSevens Exactly this. First party releases for PS4 weren't being released so they would accommodate PS3 players too. As you said, there was a very different situation this time around with the pandemic etc. but the idea of a PS5 Pro seems to be completely pointless to me.

I'd be quite happy to see some games for PS5 that truly wow me. This gen has been so boring thus far.

I love this game and played it recently on Xbox via BC. It'll be interesting to see what's added/improved in this remaster.

Rockstar are pretty pathetic in my opinion. They happily bleed consumers through GTA online, allow a shambles of a remake of a trilogy to launch, do the bare minimum on a RDR remake and pump out GTA5 across 3 console generations.

But they don't have the ability (even with their enormous funds) to do what gamers have been asking for, for years. Disgraceful.

People really need to calm down and find something important to worry about.

If you don't like micro transactions then don't pay for them.

I can't wait for this. I still play Virtua Tennis on Dreamcast.

This was my absolute favourite game of last year. I'm so glad it will now get a wider audience. It deserves to be played by everyone.

I've just recently set my PS3 up again to make sure it still works and got the newest update.

I can't stop playing it and my PS5 hasn't been switched on since. Such a brilliant console with an amazing library.

Genuine questions for those who go after trophies.

Would a game having an incomplete trophy list stop you from buying the game?

I ask because I genuinely can't remember the last time I even thought about getting a trophy of any kind.

I got these on Xbox because I have all the other Tomb Raider games there. It's a really good collection IMO.

@BookhouseBoy Bizarrely, the full game and DLC are both on discs for Xbox but PS5 is the game plus a download code.

Normally you'll be lucky to have 2GB of a game on an Xbox disc.

I actually quite like the way that 'new' Atari have been doing things recently so it seems Nightdive will be in safe hands. The 2600+ is a great retro mini console.

Nightdive are an amazing studio and probably have one of the safest business models in the industry right now.

I hope they stay independent so they can keep doing what they do across the whole industry.

@Grumblevolcano It does kind of seem that way. And it seemed like once Sony saw the backlash that he was swiftly 'retired' and existing IP live service projects were cancelled.

I really dislike the complete bias on this site at times. If a studio that is partnered with Sony releases a good game then all people talk about is the great job Sony did. If things don't go to plan then it's solely the fault of the studio and Sony were far better off without them.

There's never any culpability from Sony for some people here.

And before anyone mentions it, I am fully aware this is a PlayStation site. But that doesn't mean that everyone has to blindly agree with everything Sony says and does.

@gymratAmarillo I'd argue that Batman and Superman are more famous but completely agree that the Spider-Man games would sell anywhere.

I was disappointed with SM2 though. I really don't think they tried doing enough new with it.

I'm not going to get into another argument about this game.

In my opinion, it looks like a fairly standard hack n slash game dressed up to appeal to people who find shiny polygons a turn on.

But that's just my opinion.

Awful news and a very bad sign for the industry when 2 big players like Sony and Microsoft are shedding staff.

What's particularly upsetting to me about this story though, is the complete closure of London Studio. 😢

Your analogy is also completely incorrect and irrelevant. I said "It's an average remake". That's nothing like saying BG3 is average because it's turn based.

@GrimWillows But Sega used hall effect sticks with the Saturn and Dreamcast. There's no excuse for this from any hardware manufacturers of modern consoles.

@UltimateOtaku91 I couldn't care less what platform it's on. I have a PS5, Xbox and Switch. I may even buy it on sale at some point because I have all of the other Final Fantasy games on PlayStation.

I don't understand why you care about my opinion. If you love the game then brilliant. Fill your boots.

If it's important to you that everyone considers it a GOTY contender, then I'd question why you can't just enjoy something without wanting everyone to think the exact same way.
