I'm not liking all the Sega Saturn hate though. It was (and still is) an amazing system. Especially if you can play all of the amazing Japan only titles.

@LavenderShroud I forgot about Lego City Undercover! I loved that game and one of the few times the Wii U Game Pad lived up to its promise.

That could be true. I think there's a huge opportunity though to go back to something the scale of GTA3 or Vice City rather than the enormity of 5&6.

I'm always amazed by how few games have tried to copy the GTA formula. I know we've had True Crime, Saint's Row and Sleeping Dogs in the past but given the success of GTA you'd assume there'd be way more.

I'll hold out for PS6. Thanks to Sony and all of the devs who can't patch their games.

Stop being ridiculous. I'm talking about with inflation factored in. Switch hardware has been sold for a profit since launch, has sold more games and has an online service. These things alone make it more profitable.

Also, as I've said here many times before, I own all 3 consoles and have had every PlayStation since launch. You calling me a fanboy doesn't make it true.

@PuppetMaster Then why are they mentioning more sales for the PS2??? 😂 Also, the Switch has been a more profitable system for Nintendo than the PS2 was for Sony.

The Switch is a home console. I have never played mine in handheld mode.

And in the grand scheme of things, the PS5/PS5 Digital/Pro sales will all be bundled together. Therefore the Switch Lite counts.

People need to accept that and stop crying.

Also, the PS3 is the best PlayStation ever, not the PS2.

@PuppetMaster I think you have it the wrong way round. It seems to me that there are plenty of people (Herman included) desperate to see the PS2 stay on top.

I worked in video game retail at the time this came out on PS2 and it sold amazingly well in my store. I have it on 3DS and it's a brilliant, brilliant game.

Well worthy of a modern day remake.

@Intr1n5ic Agreed. There are clearly people who have never owned a PlayStation posting comments and voting.

But that's the nature of these things unfortunately.

I've seen people on here posting stuff and when I've asked for their PSN name they soon go quiet.

I'm happy that some people are loving it but for me it's still a completely unnecessary and overpriced upgrade.

I'm fine with my PS5 original and am still waiting to be truly blown away by anything this gen (Xbox included).

The only impressive thing for me from Sony has been the PSVR2 and even that has disappointed me by their lack of first party support. Also the major issue with PSVR2 (the lenses) is completely unfixable with the Pro.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Horizon fans didn't want a Lego game and Lego fans don't really care about Horizon.

So many people here trying to justify their purchase and suck up to Sony by saying the Pro is worth it.

"Oh but you couldn't build a PC for that price."

A PC would also have the enormous Steam library though.

I'm so gutted I bought my PSVR2 at full price when it came out.

@colonelkilgore Xbox have made it clear for many years that hardware isn't their aim. Their software portfolio will keep them sound until the end of time.

And Xbox is actually a very profitable division of Microsoft.

When hardware is irrelevant everyone will need to subscribe or buy from Microsoft and Sony won't get a cut at all.

But is it shinier?

This has to be the most controversial "big" game ever released. Finally it can piss people off in the way the developers fully envisaged.

@get2sammyb I'm obsessed with every new release of FC/FIFA purely because of the updated squads. I've never touched Ultimate once. Am I missing out?

I can't wait for 1+2 to be released. Then I'll have the entire mainline series (apart from X).

Those mobile ports of the original trilogy released a few years ago, do not do the games justice.

Interesting to see the PS5 digital and Series X digital posting virtually identical numbers.

@Rich33 They don't need good PR or goodwill from Sony. They have 2 game of the generation contenders and the initial problems with Cyberpunk are a distant memory.

The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk and its DLC are incredible. CDPR are in a strong enough position as a developer to be able to call their own shots and not jump on the Pro bandwagon if they don't want to.

I really don't think that Horizon is a strong enough brand to justify it's own Lego game.

The people who love the original games won't necessarily be in the market for a Lego game and the people interested in a new Lego game, most likely care nothing at all about the Horizon games.

@LogicStrikesAgain I actually have no problem with acquisitions made by Microsoft or Sony. It just the hypocrisy of others that bothers me.

I would also rather that any studio is bought by one of those 2 than a company like Tencent or Amazon etc.

@LogicStrikesAgain It's the two faced approach that some people take that offends me. It's disgusting behaviour until their favourite console manufacturer is doing the buying.

Then it's fine and people start making wishlists of other studios they want to see acquired.

Cue all of the people saying that acquisitions are great and how this is a great move from Sony and how much of a good fit this is and how Sony is only doing this because Microsoft bought Zenimax and ABK. 😴

@nessisonett I completely agree and maybe my point wasn't well made. I see the Pro as an unnecessary half jump.

I'm so grateful I can play Half-Life 2 on Xbox.

I do find it bizarre that it never made the Xbox backwards compatible list considering that MK9 and MK Vs DC are playable.

@LordFunkalot Agreed. It was destined to get ridiculed though when people kept saying it was a 'Halo Killer' before it even launched.

Can we have one article that gets updated with games that receive Pro updates? Like the PSVR2 release updates. An article for every game seems like unnecessary filler.

@ChrisDeku Even if you do class the Switch as just a handheld, the fact that it has sold more than the DS, 3DS and Game Boy is pretty astonishing in my book.

@ChrisDeku Regardless of what you class the Switch as, the numbers are still astonishing. By your assessment, Sony have sold as many PSP/PS4/PS5 consoles as the Switch has sold.

34 million Switch sales VS 14 million PS4/PS5 sales combined is insane.
