@Pinkman You're not the only one, dying light 2 has those options and i'm not quite sure what i was supposed to be looking at? i opted for performance mode because the other modes had lag, i could feel the stutters on my ps5 controller as you move around in game, but i'm sensitive to low frame rates though, i'm ex pc gamer, been 4+ years now i think? my last system was intel 9700k RTX 2080Ti 32gb ram m.2 drive 2560x1440 144Hz nvidia gsync. I'm a poor man now though hahaha!

Buy 14 charge extra 50 on top buy ps5 pro with profit. Oh wait no bad maths, lol.

It just goes to show that it's all very subjective in the end. The best way to know is to try before you buy but that's not always an option for console gamers, some developers/publishers make a demo or a trial version but some don't and you then run the risk of wasted cash especially for digital purchase, at least with the disc version you can trade it in and recover some of the loss. Sony should do a 2 hour trial and refunds if you not satisfied, if not then developers/publishers should allow a trial version and for every game. But yeah some of us know what the score is sony mate.

Some if not most? games have quality mode 30fps, imho that's a poor show which says to me that developers have reached the consoles limitations, I can see why the pro version exists but it will be another two years or more? before a purchase and then i'd want a deal of some sort. I got my first ps5 for £380 in a november 2023 sale. £600 is pushing it sony mate without the stand and disc drive included.

Love me some stealth and now the devs will downgrade it? I don't know why during game development they can't think of difficulty settings? i'm trying to avoid gameplay videos so as not to spoil it for myself when i buy the game.

According to somet reports Ubisoft/Massive Entertainment will patch the stealth difficulty.

On booting the game there were two graphics modes on PS5: a 30fps quality mode, and a performance mode that targets 60fps. Dynamic resolution appears to be used more aggressively for the latter, but I happily stuck with the 60fps option, which ran Silent Hill's south vale region and later Wood Side Apartment block smoothly. The only problem spot was an early graveyard area - with its obvious sub-60 drops in the build shown - but that might improve by release.

The boss fights were way too hard for me, i won't be buying the expansion nor will i be buying any games like this in the future especially from game science now i know what they are like. If there had been a demo to try i would not have purchased this game.

Edited: I just wanted to add that I have no beef with Game Science and Black Myth Wukong is a good looking fun game with great authentic sounds and music, but I personally am still struggling with the Boss fights, still on chapter 1 Whiteclad noble, hahahaha!

It's all very subjective in my honest opinion and I can't wait to give this game a playthrough, the snowdrop engine is one of the best game engines out there imho, the division 2 looked and played great on my ps5 playthrough.

I know the games mentioned but never played them, I know capcom because i played a few resident evil games but the directors name does not ring a bell.

Yeah I wonder what the difference is between a remaster and a remake? If you take a look on their official site konami say it's a remake of the 2004 game with the same gripping story and engrossing world, but with all new graphics and 3D audio.

There is only a deluxe edition upgrade, it's a rip off.

I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment, will check it out later, i like a bit of star wars. Ubisoft make some great looking open world games.

Well so far £55 has been the maximum I have paid, I guess if I really want the game I would go higher I think? I got my PS5 (CFI-1216A) for £380 in a sale 18/11/2023. I purchased the digital versions of Resident Evil 4 Remake £55 and Black Myth Wukong £55. But most of my games I purchase second hand from CeX (Complete Entertainment Exchange) much more affordable and you can trade in, I hope this company (CeX) keeps going. Not sure what I would do if I can't trade in?

Even when it does eventually release on xbox x/s platform it will probably need a patch. From my own experience with the game they are not really missing that much if i'm honest, it's a mediocre title with artificial difficulty to pad out the time/length and it's hyped mainly by the chinese nation.

I uninstalled the game, I simply lost interest at whiteclad noble so not that far in really and for me personally the repeat attempts at trying to defeat the bosses became a tedious task and drained the fun factor too soon. Maybe i'll return to the monkey business another time? I mean I wouldn't mind if they added a very easy story mode difficulty just to see the game to the end otherwise it's just a waste of money. I was on this new patch but I wasn't far enough into the game to see any difference.

Edited for clarity: I re-installed the game and have at it again ha, well I did pay £55.

John Williams composing was great I think I like the movie score just as much as the film itself. I would of prefered the third person or over the shoulder view for the game if i'm honest.

Some of the comments made me laugh. Is beauty just skin deep?

Audio/video not bad at all. Still trying to work out how to beat Whiteclad Noble though. Slow burn for me, fun for the most part but i'm not used to this difficulty and i usually play games on either easy or moderate although if i'm honest moderate is often challenging me, i like gaming but i'm not good at it.

Man that's a low blow. Not that long ago I can remember the waffle about digital only games will cost less because of the savings from less manufacturing processes ,look how that turned out eh.

I wish the powers that be would officially allow mods like this for consoles too, the pc platform even has WeMod.

Is ray tracing the future? this tech tanks performance so a machine to handle that and 4k is a must have surely? unless some are ok at 30 fps? FSR3 also needed? even the mighty RTX 4090 gets wrecked in some games according to owners of said hardware.

I watched and listened to a gameplay demo from Bloober Team on their youtube channel and the strange sounds were great, i'd really like to know what VST (virtual studio technology) and samples/VSTi (virtual studio instruments) were used in production.

Black Myth Wukong is my first new game purchase for 2024 and the only other possible purchase is Silent Hill 2 remake, 1 new and 1 remake.

Should of gone free to play with microtransactionspaytowin, such a financial risky business.

Sounds about right, although it's all subjective. The only games i have played that play similar are the god of war titles but i found those games less frustrating in combat. Performance on my ps5 is ok the unreal engine is ok nothing ground breaking. For me this game is a 6/10 boss basher. In future no demo no buy. I can't recommend it at the current price.

@Deadlyblack Starting from scratch console is cheap 'n' cheerfull but pc is far too expensive for a lot of gamers, also i doubt parents would be willing to buy a gaming pc for their kids.

@KundaliniRising333 i tried quality mode and it is bad, performance mode is not always smooth feeling, for me there felt some judder, unreal 5 engine is demanding, ps5 doesn't really cope well. I'm at 1280x720 60hz on small tv in bedroom, tried 1920x1080p 144hz ips monitor but it's just as bad but i think the monitor is poor quality to be fair. I can't recommended this game for casuals.

If you like difficult challenging games you're in for a treat but i can't recommend it for casual gamers like myself. It's hard for the sake of being hard. They should of added an easy medium and hard mode, i can see why they didn't put out a demo, if they had i would not have wasted my money on it. Because it's digital i can't trade it in so will have to probably wait in vain for patches to improve performance and difficulty toggles.

All games are too expensive now, it's £54.99 on the ps store, i managed to raise the money by selling some second hand gear and games otherwise i could not afford it. I can't remember playing a game like this before? graphics are good, traditional music and environment sounds are great. Boss fights are very challenging for me and not much fun if i'm honest, sprinted to Guanyin Temple and upgraded some armour/gear back tracked and multiple attempts at Guangzhi and Wandering Wight, no joy haha, not sure this game is for me? but i'll keep at it. Forgot to add that i'm playing on performance mode on PS5 and it's ok for me, i'm a pc gamer at heart and framerate is a priority but unfortunately i have been priced out of that platform.

I prefer his take on tactical espionage.

Not sure the running and walking was motion captured? it looks a bit funny to me.

Looking forward to playing this game.

Audio/video looks good to me, keen to know if they are using screen space reflections or ray tracing?
