Re: The Story of Shenmue Is Far from Over, Says ININ

BlaizeV

I like the idea of more DLC for Shenmue 3 to get the ball rolling.

I like the idea some have of going back to the low res clunky look of the dreamcast games and cranking out the rest of the story on a shoestring budget while feeding graphics nostalgia more.

Re: SEGA Heaps Praise on Atlus Following Strong Metaphor: ReFantazio Sales

BlaizeV

Amazing what buying a celebrated developer with a niche audience that could only grow can do.

It's strange how purchases like this don't happen more often, though so often even when they do the studios are mishandled.

Like Sega ever heard of supergiant? Seems like an easy win. Though of course remaining independent is totally fine, just using them as an example.

Re: SEGA Is Delisting a Bunch of Retro Games, And It's Got Fans Thinking

BlaizeV

@SoNico89 @Balosi

I was mainly talking about the individual releases for the dreamcast games on PS3 as well as I guess the mega drive releases too. These are being delisted on Steam and Xbox but supposedly not PS3 which is weird but I wonder if it maybe just something Sega didn't feel the need to mention.

The PS3 collection of mega drive games never got a digital release I believe.

Re: PS5 Pro Has a Remarkable Impact on Unpatched Games Too

BlaizeV

lol I'm sure there is a difference but seriously not even for the meme's at least when he is just stood there at a glance I cannot see a difference between base mode and pro mode.

EDIT: I see the fps improvement obviously and that's great. I certainly cannot tell the difference, at a glance, in graphics but this game is unpatched so yeah.

Re: Tales of Graces f Reveals Remastered PS5, PS4 Updates in New Trailer

BlaizeV

I wonder if the level up bonuses and devil artes are included, the latter is available in game but could be bought as dlc to use earlier.

Still no word on how having access to the grade shop straight away is going to work? Are they just going to offer max grade if you want it or is the shop's buffs going to unlock as you go?

Re: Like It or Not, This Is Why PS5 Pro Doesn't Have a Disc Drive

BlaizeV

I went full digital on PS4. Alot of games go on giant discounts all the time and with games I saw the writing on the wall so decided to build the digital library for my console that I can hopefully use for many years going forward. Hedged my bets really and decided if a PS6/7 was to be released as a fully digital console but still backwards compatible I would be able to still play my old favourites.

I know people get worried about the license stuff but I'm less concerned. I was a teenager when the PS3 come out and now I'm in my 30s. The PS3 digital games I have still work. Even if the store closes I don't forsee not being able to download the games.

Our time on this earth is finite. In 40 years I'll be 76. Seems like a long time from now but it's really not, we're already 18 years on from PS3. Do you think Sony will go away in that time? I don't and I don't think any of my digital purchases PS4 and on will likely do so either.

In a few years this whole digital ownership thing is going to come to ahead and I suspect customers will be on the winning side of it.

And hey if I'm totally wrong I can always just hack the console and get access that way.

Re: Opinion: The Price of Playing PS5 Games Day One Is Getting Higher and Higher

BlaizeV

It is so crazy how much the industry caters to its own needs and not the consumer. Okay not that crazy but seriously no one really asked for games to become what they are, which is mainly very expensive to make. But genuinely no one was asking for these levels of graphics and detail. As proved by the whole 75% of users opting for frame rate.

But now the answer is always 'games are so expensive to make now and take so long' which results in them costing a small fortune Day 1.

Again the consumers never really asked for this. Not as a majority. So yeah it sucks how the industry continues as so, making games with tech that pleases them and their needs but doesn't really care for the wants of the end consumer. Which is basically an experience of good value. Something which is rarely achieved these days at the AAA level.

Re: Sony Goes the Extra Mile for Siren on PS Plus Premium

BlaizeV

Wouldn't it be in Sony's best interest to offer this service of making trophy lists for these games to Capcom, Namco and others? Even for free?

The result being they get more games on their service and the sales of the games on the store would be higher which they get a cut from as well.

Re: PlayStation Fans Gleefully Snitch on 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro Scalpers

BlaizeV

@carlos82 eBay also technically doesn't allow bootlegs either. But if they willfully took those listings down themselves think of all the lost revenue from their commissions.

It actually surprises me that other industries haven't sued eBay over the years for the amount of fake products they sell, distort the market with while also making profit from.

Re: Lord of the Rings Life Sim Tales of the Shire Out for PS5 in March 2025

BlaizeV

again I must say that given this is coming to switch I don't see why this is skipping PS4. Not that big a deal, I like the look of it gameplay wise but I've got loads to play already but any game getting switch ports should be coming to PS4 as well imo.

The whole new gen/old gen thing just doesn't wash with me anymore. Diminishing returns means there are plenty of people like me in no rush to "upgrade". I've been playing games since the NES and I just don't value graphics anymore, in my mid thirties now and I don't like photo realism in games and the pursuit of it.

Anyway whatever, kinda went on a tangent there lol

Re: PS5 Exclusives Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Failed to Meet Expectations

BlaizeV

Maybe make the games cheaper? AAA industry is maddening right now. Like a bunch of idiots desperate to cram their games full of tech and then they continuously cry how they aren't making a bunch of money.

Your margins are too small ffs, stop filling games with crap no one asks for. FF7 Rebirth runs bad on the only platform it released on and is crammed full of mini games and garbage no one actually wants.

Re: PS6 Is Already Deep in Development, Backwards Compatibility of High Importance

BlaizeV

If the drive will always be seperate now (it will be) then can we finally get the dream of full BC from PS1 to PS5. The CD license would only have to be paid on every disc drive sold compared to every console which should mean support can return.

As a mid age Millennial an all encompassing Playstation console that supports all generations would be a dream. Even if they do it just this one time it would mean so much. Hell while I'm dreaming why not throw in a crazy addon that supports Vita and PSP too lol.

Honestly I don't expect this to happen at all but it's kinda what I need to get back on the current gen system buying again. I did buy a PS5 slim but I sold it weeks later as I hated it and don't play games that need it. So I'm still on PS4 Pro and still have a hundred games I'd like to play.

Re: More Tales Announcements Incoming for Series' 30th Anniversary

BlaizeV

Wait we get the grade shop straight away? How does that work?

Is the game going to just come with thousands of grade from the start or what?

I know they won't but a feature for the game to check if you have a clear save from the ps3 from the cloud would be a cool way for returning players to start with all their grade.

Re: Tetris Forever Brings Over 15 Versions Together in PS5, PS4 Retro Collection

BlaizeV

@nessisonett the first two have been released on arcade archives. I'm not expecting them to appear in this collection unfortunately.

My guess for some of the remaining 6 games is likely to be the other 90s developed Tetris games. Like Tetris Plus, The New Tetris and The Next Tetris.

The licensed games like Disney and Cardcaptor Sakura are almost certainly no goes.

The very rare sega Tetris that was included with the Mega Drive mini seems like a good choice.

There has been countless phone, old pc and portable versions over the years they could do. Tetris Diamond for example has a switch port, it could be interesting to see what they might include.

The brilliant Tetris Party on Wii would be cool but I'd be less sure on that one.

I'd be all over dlc ports for extra more obscure ports but I won't get greedy just yet lol

Re: Xbox on Bringing Exclusives to PS5: The Industry Is Changing for All of Us

BlaizeV

360 won hearts and earnt Xbox a place. The Xbox One gave that all away over a single completely unnecessary policy. In order to claw that back Xbox gave us Game Pass but in doing so taught players they had no longer any reason to buy games, like literally none. Games got more expensive to make an Xbox's solution to 'win' was to give those same games away cheaper than ever.

Just endless bad decisions, chasing trends old and new. You know that AI will be the next thing they'll heavily peddle on next time. The end product is an almost pointless product.

Xbox might not die, if they can sell systems and keep a portion of that Game Pass player base happy then it has its place. But the competition is over.

Re: It Doesn't Sound Like Braid: Anniversary Edition Quite Set the World on Fire

BlaizeV

No one mentioning the obscene timeframe of announcement to release for ultimately a rerelease. Not suprised at all that it didn't do well because most who were interested would've seen that fade, not know it came out or thought it was cancelled.

I had my fun with it back on the 360, about two years ago I remember being interested in it again and was surprised the rerelease was still not out. Once it finally did I just wasn't that bothered.

Re: Sonic Team Boss Would Love to Explore a Sonic RPG Someday

BlaizeV

I don't like Sonic but given the vast array of characters available to flesh out a fun and varied world due to the long running comics, I'd say there is good potential for an interesting RPG.

Never played the one on the DS but I don't believe that used many more than the usual cast.
