Re: Poll: One Year Later, How Would You Rate Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5?

I thought it was decent but fell under the category of 'iterative sequel' that last year was so well known for.

Spider-Man 1 had the advantage of being the best Spider-Man game thus far and it was always going to be hard to top.

As a die hard Spider-man fan, I felt that Insomniac deviated too far from the source material and I didn't really like how Peter was pushed to the side in favour of Miles.

It was a solid sequel though. Didn't under or overwhelm me.

@Rob_230 I've kind of switched up how I play video games this year. I used to just commit to one game at a time and would usually get burned out on a 70+ hour JRPG but I'm now ok with leaving a game for a couple of months and coming back to it if something smaller comes along that I really want to play.

I do agree that publishers need to chill a bit and stop pumping out so many games. Especially big epic open world games with too much padding.

I can't wait to play Astrobot. I think I'm going to get it round Christmas time. Feels like a Christmas day game to me haha.

@Th3solution My only guess is that dev teams are struggling to make larger scale games run smoothly using Unreal Engine 5?

You do make a good point about GTA 6 though. It looks too good to be true on modern consoles (even if we've only seen a brief trailer so far). It might be an arms race at this point to see which console will be better to play what will undoubtedly be the biggest (and most profitable) game of the generation.
