@glassmusic didn't know about either of these games, but thanks to this article and the comments, I read some reviews and just picked them both up for under a fiver in total. Bargain!
Worthy winner. And I'm just glad that Elden Ring can be put into a 2022 shaped box now and everyone, media and gamers, can move on from the hysteria it generated. 👍
@whitejessegpfc other way around for me with GT7 - I've played the Gran Turismo series since the original on PS1 and it's been one of my (now rare) day one purchases ever since.
GT7 though...enjoyed doing all the licenses and menu books, but fell off it pretty quick after that.
CDPR screwed over everyone 2 years ago, including reviewers. They also did that deliberately and cynically.
And now all is well and you give them a damn trophy ahead of Santa Monica and numerous other devs because it was a long time ago and because they've convinced you it wasn't really like how it was?
I got this fairly recently so avoided the crop of release bugs and it's my favourite game of the year. As someone who isn't into the AAA God of War and Horizon type stuff, this was a perfect game for me.
@LiamCroft It's been a terrific year for indies though, wouldn't you agree?
Headed by (imo) the brilliant Cult of the Lamb, but we also got Lets Build a Zoo, The Ascent, Weird West, Nobody Saves the World and Sifu, to name just a few.
I got a lot more enjoyment from these kind of games than the 'big' AAA's that tend to dominate these end of year lists.
@FatalBubbles use Turkey store to buy them (they still play on your UK account) and they do better than that - they make physical prices look expensive:
Cult of the Lamb £9
Elden Ring £19
Horizon FW £22
and so on...
people can take their physical discs and shove them with prices like this 😀👍
Spoiled for choice this month: Far Cry Primal/5, Judgment, Evil Genius and the Pedestrian. I want to play them all, let alone other stuff already on the service.
Even being semi-retired there just isn't enough time. Oh, and Jack Ryan season 3 drops tomorrow on the torrents. First world probs.
@freddquadros I have shadow of war from ps+ essential but never got round to trying it..is it worth playing shadow of Mordor as well, or is the second one just better?
@Rob_230 exactly the same here, remember waiting ages for NITW to go on a decent sale and then when it finally did, I grabbed it but never got around to playing it. This is a nice surprise.
Cult of the Lamb and Two Point Campus are the ones I'd be interested in this time around, but bearing in mind they both went to Gamepass day one, you have to assume they're likely to hit Extra before too long. And I do hate that 'buy in sale, game appears on PS+ before even played' sequence...so I'll refrain. 😀
This is the kind of thing decent devs give away to their customers for xmas, especially when it comes to a game where literally every part of it is paid DLC, which a lot of users would have spent large sums accumulating.
The cynicism of this 'festive add-on' is unbelievable, and yet entirely believable.
lol at all these people cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
they'll be the same ones refusing to give up petrol cars in ten years time for those rubbish EV's that the rest of the planet will be driving, the same ones who were refusing to give up candles for that new-fangled electricity thing back in the day.
digital is coming, discs are going. people can p*** into the wind all the want.

Played the demo. Zero interest in purchasing now.
Well played I guess; it's saved me some cash!

Cult of the Lamb my favourite on there.
Re: World War Z: Aftermath's Free PS5 Upgrade Adds to 2023 Insanity This Month
I've never played it but think this was a ps+ game? So if so, have to see if we get this upgrade or not
Re: Hitman 3 Will Soon Include All Modern Hitman Games for Free on PS5, PS4
Great support from IO, and I say that as someone who bought all 3 games separately. And we still have the new mode (also free) coming in February.

Re: Motorsport Legend Ken Block Dies in Tragic Accident
@Bu1ld0g And sadly Richard Burns too, another great rally driver who left us too soon (cancer), who also had at least one licensed game to his name.
Re: Motorsport Legend Ken Block Dies in Tragic Accident
Read this shocking news earlier.
His stunts and challenges were amazing. Search out his top gear stuff, and also the challenge series he did, Elba vs Block with Idris Elba.
Re: PS Plus Members, This Is Your Last Chance to Claim December's Essential Games
January games now up! Axiom Verge the only one I'm interested in this month, but you know, add them all anyway because.
Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022
@Deadlyblack Likewise. Cult of The Lamb was in my top 3, for sure.
Re: Game of the Year: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022
@WallyWest Readers as a whole voted that they enjoyed Horizon more - all the laughing emojis in the world won't change that.

Re: Persona Dev Atlus Is Teasing 'Several Unannounced Titles' in 2023
I'm ready to put 80 hours into P6 before tapping out probably halfway through. It is the way of things for me in these games.

I love that a quarter of people voted for it to be higher on the list 🙂👍

Just Cult Of The Lamb for me...even with the backlog, £9 via Turkey store is cheap enough.

@EquiinoxGII you are correct - they're extremely cheap on the Turkey store!

Since Extra, I'm a lot more resistant and reluctant to participate in these sales, even with the dirt cheap Turkey PSN pricing levels.

never planned to even download it, so it affects me 'this much'.

@stBoa Essential, I think
Re: 22 New PS5, PS4 Games Coming to PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week
Far Cry Primal, Judgment, Evil Genius 2 and The Pedestrian are all good for me. They all fall into my 'interested, but not enough to buy' category.

The guy really needs to let this go. I thought the game was fine, got a decent amount of fun from it.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2022 Available to Download Now
I started DQ11 a week or so ago via Extra, now there's ME, and next week Witcher 3 PS5.
There is little chance I'll get beyond those in the next few months. Games overload! 👍
