Re: Game of the Year: #2 - Elden Ring

@whitejessegpfc other way around for me with GT7 - I've played the Gran Turismo series since the original on PS1 and it's been one of my (now rare) day one purchases ever since.

GT7 though...enjoyed doing all the licenses and menu books, but fell off it pretty quick after that.

CDPR screwed over everyone 2 years ago, including reviewers. They also did that deliberately and cynically.

And now all is well and you give them a damn trophy ahead of Santa Monica and numerous other devs because it was a long time ago and because they've convinced you it wasn't really like how it was?

Shameful.

Re: Game of the Year: #5 - Cult of the Lamb

I got this fairly recently so avoided the crop of release bugs and it's my favourite game of the year. As someone who isn't into the AAA God of War and Horizon type stuff, this was a perfect game for me.

Re: Game of the Year: Liam's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022

Gamer_Guy

@LiamCroft It's been a terrific year for indies though, wouldn't you agree?

Headed by (imo) the brilliant Cult of the Lamb, but we also got Lets Build a Zoo, The Ascent, Weird West, Nobody Saves the World and Sifu, to name just a few.

I got a lot more enjoyment from these kind of games than the 'big' AAA's that tend to dominate these end of year lists.

Re: New PS Store Sale Live Now, Big PS5, PS4 Games Included

Gamer_Guy

Cult of the Lamb and Two Point Campus are the ones I'd be interested in this time around, but bearing in mind they both went to Gamepass day one, you have to assume they're likely to hit Extra before too long. And I do hate that 'buy in sale, game appears on PS+ before even played' sequence...so I'll refrain. 😀

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Will Only Be Available Digitally on PS5, PS4

lol at all these people cutting off their noses to spite their faces.

they'll be the same ones refusing to give up petrol cars in ten years time for those rubbish EV's that the rest of the planet will be driving, the same ones who were refusing to give up candles for that new-fangled electricity thing back in the day.

digital is coming, discs are going. people can p*** into the wind all the want.
