Great start to the year for me personally. Lots there Im looking forward to jumping into.

Been playing the free trial this weekend and ended up ordering it. I love the Forza Horizon games so this one is right up my street.

FF7 Rebirth and Stellar Blade 2 please

Think maybe we get something 1P at TGA but I would suspect otherwise we are not getting a showcase or anything until early next year.

They will backtrack by the end of the week I bet.

Think they will go independent or get some sort of investment from Tencent or someone like that. Can't see either Sony or Microsoft going for them whilst Randy is still there.

Good to see Starfield do well in the physical market. It’s impressive because Xbox is heavily digital, it’s a PS centric country and it’s on Game Pass.

Personally I’m really enjoying it. About 21 hours in and bar a few small bugs and people getting stuck in walls and doors I’ve not had anything major.

Game have got the physical version down to £14.97 at the moment so I’ve taken the plunge and will jump into it over the weekend at some point.

Good to see it moved and a bit of breathing space.

Will be interesting to see what the standard edition does for Starfield as that’s the one that’s on GP. Agree I think Steam will be the biggest seller.

Personally I’m loving it. I can see where the reviews come from though and if you can get past the first hour or so it expands massively.

Was one of the first games I ever played on a PS1. One of my favourite games of all time. Collecting all the gems, finding all the dragons and kicking Gnasty Gnorc at the end.

I really hope we get another Spyro one day.

I will wait to pick this up until November ish when I can plough proper time into it.

I actually didn't realise Embracer owned what they do. Gearbox, THQ Nordic. I knew that they acquired Crystal and Eidos from Square but wasn't aware of the others.

Fingers crossed we don't see anymore closures, although I've seen this evening them talk about more layoffs at Gearbox.

Real shame to see. I loved the earlier Saints Row games.

Personally think it’s much better now than it was when launched.

@dimi Yes, they were discounted and also Microsoft fixed the servers, so they spiked in sales. Think I picked up BO2 for £9.99 digitally.

Interesting to see more on this. Has got the potential to be really good. I’ve used Xbox’s streaming to both a phone and through the web browser and generally not had many issues.

I guess they will keep it behind the Premium tier for now?

I picked up both the Xbox 360 games for around £13 and it will play just as well as this lol.

Wont pick it up straight away as I always find turn based games a bit of a struggle to play and it’s out the same day as Starfield so I’ll wait for a bit and pick it up in a period when there’s nothing new out and can properly plough some time into it, but it’s great to see its success. Think it will do very well

Didn’t Embracer also acquire other things like Theme Park material and other non video game bits? Or have I made that up?

Personally don’t think Microsoft end up going the same way. I know people like to bring them up in every single article like this but Microsoft are after studios to feed GP with consistent content.

@mikey856 it's definitely not that big of a gap this generation, even with PS's 40m+ figures, Last known Xbox figures is at around 21m, so even then it's only 2-1 , but I get your point.

I don't think you will ever see Microsoft put Game Pass on Playstation purely because Sony will never allow it. Yes they'll continue to release games like this, and maybe some ABK titles depending on what Jim signed in the 10 year deal, but you won't see them put a full service on there, even if they wanted, Sony won't.

To be honest keep seeing a few mention about Microsoft going third party and binning the consoles off, and yes I could see that, but I really hope they don't. I'd love nothing more than all three competitors to carry on with hardware pushing each other with innovation and for our money. As much as I love Sony and Playstation, I hope we don't see a day where they are the sole console (Although I know Nintendo will be around)

The sooner people understand that Sony and Microsoft are going in two seperate ways the better. Playstation will continue to push consoles and Microsoft will push subscriptions.

@theMEGAniggle fully agree, and to be honest it's very embarrasing to see a developer engage in it. You are just alienating an entire fanbase, and making yourselves look very amatuerish. Fair enough mentioning about a delay on an Xbox version because of utilization issues, but I suspect it was all the retweets and engagements of the PS fanatics that triggered it all back and forth.

It’s not a biggie for me as someone with a mix of physical and digital but it’s a bit poor they’ve not got a physical option for those who do collect

It's a shame to see, and when the people at the top are taking top dollar it's always shameful.

Current market cap is just under 4bn, so would probably take a few more to sell, are they worth it? Not sure it's a smart purchase myself given the price, although as a few have mentioned, Sony do lack any sort of RPG studio, so I could see the reason behind one.
