Re: Don't Believe Your Eyes in The Thing: Remastered PS5, PS4 Gameplay

Looks good, just not a remake like system shock seems to be, which is in my wishlist and a must. Aren't they supposed to come out with system shock 2 remaster as well?
But still interested to a point.

Im also tempted by blade runner, albeit it seems really clunky, short, and not so replayable.
But its 5 bucks on sale.

Re: Stealth Issues Still the Focus of Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Patches

@BookhouseBoy it seems sadly to be the case, i checked on reddit, and you can see they mostly dumbed down further the stealth, taking out alarm panels for npcs to use, less patrols, etc, very unfortunate, means no buy from me until really improved..

Also patch added screen tearing to ps5, messed up hdr, dumbed down the speeder chases, with less crashes, with obstacles and other speeders.

Shows what they are doing is just mindless quick 'fixes', illusion, and pleasing casuals.
Shame.
And the director said before how proud he is of years of work, and will never stop improving it...

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn PS4's Price Doubles After PS5 Remaster Announcement

Jtheripper

Ofc because they dont want to make it cheaper to get the ps4 version plus upgrade, instead of the new ps5 version.

But, it be better if they kept the ps4 version at same low price, but make the upgrade more costly for those buying the old game starting now, that the new one is announced.

And leave the upgrade cheap for those that already had bought it. Idk,,seems a little more fair maybe.
Then you could wait to buy the upgrade or ps5 version on sale later on.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn PS5 Wins Over PlayStation Fans

It's a reasonable deal, but problem is if you already played it, plus there's a sequel out already that's more impressive already, with more fleshed out outposts etc, from what i read..

There's also the problem of ssd storage space when it's a ps5 version game, which costs a bundle to upgrade to something beefy still.

And, the 1st game ps4 version is already updated to run smooth and cleaner, in backcompatibility.

Worth it if you haven't played it, and prefer play the 1st game before the sequel.

Re: Round Up: Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Reviews Are Hit and Miss

Jtheripper

It's a shame really that the base gameplay is poor, i really like the look, feel, design idea of it in previews.
But as was to be expected, stealth is poor and broken even it seems, action is basic, and mission design is very limited, instant stealth fail where you can't even knock a guard out, or if allowed, the game is bugged and fails because the ai saw you while its being knocked down, etc.

Shame, but you can see in avatar too, the devs last game, the beginning is a bad sign, with 30 mins almost if basic corridor stealth with almost no guards.

I don't get it, they have a lot of resources, ubisoft, they should have time too, on ps5 it's buggy it seems really.
As others said, 20 bucks in a year or 2.
Wanted this to be great, even the open world i read is pretty underwhelming with it's bland racing, the shooting on the bike etc.
Check out big dan gaming vid, he shows the ai, and trial and error stealth etc.

Re: Preview: Star Wars Outlaws Thrives in Its Rewarding Open World

Just watch some more continuous gameplay of that demo, instead of small cuts from the vid here, and, it looks abysmal to me sadly.

Very generic, average, bad animations in gameplay( stormtroopers moving to you in erratic ways, making no sense), bad ai, corny generic quips, big red x on enemies, easy paused mark and shoot, bland empty environments and side activities, etc.

Idk, hope they improve it for a good year after launch, i really wish this be good.
