@rjejr @Tecinthebrain the ps4 may have sold double the amount of ps5, but majority of those ps4 owners will have upgraded to ps5, some will be a 2nd or 3rd purchase (due to breakage etc) and some just won’t be used anymore (gone to pc/xbox/dont game anymore etc etc)

So by now that ps4 only crowd will be dropping.

GoTY next year.

They could release GTA, Zelda, Mario, Horizon 3 and more and nothing will top it for me.

To be fair to PushSquare and @get2sammyb it was also missed over on PureXbox until it was pointed out in comments and I think @themightyant posted the video. Although they have updated their article.

@trev666 many will wait. Some will be happy to pay £50.

The issue for many with early access - especially as this one is 2 weeks - is all the spoilers will be out there.

Ps5 only gamer, pays £70 or less for the couple of games they are interested in from Xbox. You can wait 12months pick them up for half price and fully patched.

Or

Ps5 only gamer - buys a series X (for like to like comparison) at £400 plus £150 a year for GPU. To play the handful of games they want.

Buying them at £70 can make sense.

Obviously there are caveats of other games on GPU, how many games you want etc.

Maybe it was a compromise to get the game made? You can imagine Lego wouldn’t just want it on one system?

The fact half of the seats were empty, the crowd that were there barely sounded excited for anything, it was all just flat.

I enjoy my indies as much as anyone, but none really stood out last night (perhaps the gundam type one and was it battle tactics?) they just kinda all meshed together, then they bring people out on stage and they just witter pointless stuff.

There were a couple of good things, maybe a few interesting smaller games too.

But for a 2hour show? Poor is the best I can give it.

The last article/other parts of the report said rocksteady were working on a live service multiplayer puzzler game. So they were already moving away from single player when WB got them to change to SS.

I mean every one would love one of course.
But I don’t see it, like others have mentioned they have recently released the portal. The ‘pro’ seems to be the next hardware.

Maybe in a couple of years? Maybe it’s a counter to the MS rumours, so Sony don’t get left behind?

Or maybe it’s just fake news as it’s from Russia.

People complain that Sony don’t offer different types of games, they get one, then complain again it’s f2p.

Also you say Sony charge high, but recently HD2 was a good price, so you never know it may be £60 not £70

It was average. It was a 30minute show. Wasn’t a huge show that was promoted for weeks.

Once again it’s not Sonys fault that people were expecting wolverine/GoT2 and many more.

I think for those struggling with all the mechanics, try the heavy bow gun. (Both world/rise)

Does good damage and you can put auto block on, to help you learn monster moves etc.

Then we all remember it’s just the minority on Social media.

Sooner we stop using this rubbish, the better the world will become.

I know this will use up A LOT of my time. No qualms or worries about release state etc. I just hope it is around Easter and not xmas

And I’m not saying it was fantastic or anything. There was a good mix of games, most with a release date.

Whatever Sony do currently ‘gamers’ say they want the opposite. (Or Xbox etc etc)

@OldGamer999 recently they’ve shown GoW/SM2 and people on this very site complained.

They show a fun Astro bot game. They complain.

It’s clear with no leak/early shots of Astro Sony are trying to not show games years away. They are holding cards to their chest.

There were 14 games shown. It’s not like all 14 are meant to be for everyone. If people came away wanting one and being interested in 2 or 3 then that’s good.

Again it was a 30minute show, it was never going to be showing all huge gamed

This ‘opinion’ is a massive over reaction.

It’s not Sonys (or MS or Nintendo) fault that gamers get hyped up.

There was nothing inherently terrible about any of the games (except the marvel one). It’s just because they didn’t get the game they wanted to see.

Most sensible posters didn’t expect anything huge anyway.

Pretty much remember everybody slating helldivers 2 from their trailers. And we know how that turned out. So maybe give it a bit of a chance?

If they price it at £30/35 I think it will do ok. Not going to set the world alight.

This looked a lot of fun.

I’m glad Sony managed to keep a (relative) lid on any leaks/announcement of a game until pretty close to its release. For me it’s a good way of doing it ( even if I’m still super happy wilds got an early trailer!)

I am already confident this will be one of the best (and most likely my goty) games of 25

I think people always have too high expectations of these things and always feel let down.

I noticed it only said ps5… exclusive?

Most know you can buy new games half price within 3-6months.

Then you have subscription models that often end up having the games ‘wanted to try but not for £40+’.

Also the recent cost of living crisis. It all adds up.

I think it will be far far more understated than what people think. And people are getting their hopes up just to be let down.

Probably live service stuff fairgame/concord. GoW for PC. Couple of 3rd party that they have the advertising rights

@itsfoz they pushed back the console release of CS2 because the PC version was released in a complete mess.

The no ps5 release date for this would most likely mean MS made some kind of deal you would guess.
