Re: Spider-Man 2 Won't Receive Any PS5 Story DLC

Steel76

The first game, for the PS4, was much better.
The only thing I liked about the sequel, was the way you could travel faster through the city. But the story was dull, and the characters boring.
Had some hopes about Venom, but yet again, they fail doing the thing justice...

Re: Like It or Not, This Is Why PS5 Pro Doesn't Have a Disc Drive

Also, a friend of mine, lost his entire physical collection of carts, discs and consoles, when his house burned down, in the middle of a forest fire. He began to buy digitally, about 8 years ago. So he could just buy a new console, and his digital collection, was still there, do re-download. His physical though, had turned into melted plastic. Only a handful of discs, survived, though the covers where trash.

He was of course heartbroken, but still glad he had gone digital, the last couple of years. I asked him if he would rebuild his collection, but he said he was done with it.

I modded a PS2 for him, so he at least could play ISO:s of PS1 and PS2 games, of all the games he lost.

Re: Like It or Not, This Is Why PS5 Pro Doesn't Have a Disc Drive

I have been buying digital games, on PC and consoles, since 2006, and haven't lost a single game. I can still re-download all the games, that isn't available to buy anymore.
When it comes to older disc based systems, I have modded them to use HDD or SD cards instead, due to failing drives.
There will be a point, when new lasers and drives, won't be possible to buy anymore. And discs don't last forever either.
Got plenty of old discs, that even a new laser won't read...

Re: Mini Review: Arizona Sunshine Remake (PS5) - More Remaster Than Remake

Steel76

@thefourfoldroot1
I have showed off VR to my friends, but after saying it's cool, none has ever asked to try it again, or bought one themselves.
It's just too clunky for most people, and the games are often still too janky, when it comes to interacting with objects, etc.
I haven't touched VR, since January. I just don't feel like going back into VR. Even though there are some good VR games, like Asgards Wrath 2 and Half Life Alyx. Too me, flat games are much better overall, with more depth to the gameplay itself. And it's more relaxing to play, compared to VR.
I've given VR plenty of chances, since 2016, when I got my HTC Vive. The only VR game that I really loved, was Astrobot on PSVR.
Until we get more quality games like that, VR will remain a niche.

Quest sells a lot, but it seems it became the VR version of Wii. People bought the Wii, just to play Wii Sports, and now they might buy a Quest, to play Beat saber, and nothing else.

Re: Dino Crisis Fans Hoodwinked as Capcom's PS1 Classic Requires Premium, Lacks Trophies

Steel76

Never cared about trophies.
Too bad you can't just buy the game.

If you don't own a disc, and you have a PC, just emulate instead.
That way you can also render the game in higher resolution etc.

I sold my disc, a long time ago, but I modded my PS1, with X-station, so I don't have to deal with overpriced original discs anymore.

I hope we get a remake, just like the RE games, or a brand new game.

Re: Mark Zuckerberg Claims to Be a Grandmaster-Level Civilization Player

Steel76

It will soon be discovered, that Mark was sent back in time, by Skynet, to create Facebook, as a way to destroy our civilization.
Now if someone could fix this, by sending back a T-800, to that same point in time, to terminate and erase this nightmarish timeline...
As a bonus, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok and all the rest, will never be created as well.

Re: Until Dawn Is One of Sony's Worst Performing PC Ports to Date

Steel76

If you're a PC gamer, like me, who also enjoy Playstation games, then we've already played the games, as we also own a PS console.

A game like Until Dawn, isn't exactly in the same league, as God of War and Ghost of Tsushima.
Finished the game once, on PS4, and don't feel the need of another playthrough.

Re: Big Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Update Takes Aim at Stealth, Performance

Steel76

I tried a stealth mission, after the update, and it went much smoother. Before, it was like they could spot me from anywhere.
But I'll probably wait another month or two, until I jump back in, and give it a proper playthrough.
They really should have delayed the game, for another 6 months.

This is why I never buy Ubisoft games.
I always use Ubisoft+ instead.
Can't believe people actually pay for those overprice ultimate editions.

Re: Report Finds Lack of Star Wars Outlaws Sales Disturbing

Steel76

Played it with Ubisoft+ on PC, and after about 4-5 hours, I dropped out, and never returned.
The game is so damn generic, that if it didn't use the Star Wars license, nobody would have given a ***** about it.
The gameplay and controls are so janky, that the stealth sections becomes a chore to play.
Don't like the reputation system either. Make one small mistake, and it can mess up everything you were trying to build up.
