The first game, for the PS4, was much better. The only thing I liked about the sequel, was the way you could travel faster through the city. But the story was dull, and the characters boring. Had some hopes about Venom, but yet again, they fail doing the thing justice...
Also, a friend of mine, lost his entire physical collection of carts, discs and consoles, when his house burned down, in the middle of a forest fire. He began to buy digitally, about 8 years ago. So he could just buy a new console, and his digital collection, was still there, do re-download. His physical though, had turned into melted plastic. Only a handful of discs, survived, though the covers where trash.
He was of course heartbroken, but still glad he had gone digital, the last couple of years. I asked him if he would rebuild his collection, but he said he was done with it.
I modded a PS2 for him, so he at least could play ISO:s of PS1 and PS2 games, of all the games he lost.
I have been buying digital games, on PC and consoles, since 2006, and haven't lost a single game. I can still re-download all the games, that isn't available to buy anymore. When it comes to older disc based systems, I have modded them to use HDD or SD cards instead, due to failing drives. There will be a point, when new lasers and drives, won't be possible to buy anymore. And discs don't last forever either. Got plenty of old discs, that even a new laser won't read...
So we still don't get the sharpness, of OG PS5 fidelity mode, in the performance mode on the Pro. Instead we still get, shimmering, softer image/textures. That's just "great"...
Let's see how the third party games, that struggles on the original PS5, benefits from the Pro. So far only Rebirth gets a huge image boost, but at what framerate?
@thefourfoldroot1 I have showed off VR to my friends, but after saying it's cool, none has ever asked to try it again, or bought one themselves. It's just too clunky for most people, and the games are often still too janky, when it comes to interacting with objects, etc. I haven't touched VR, since January. I just don't feel like going back into VR. Even though there are some good VR games, like Asgards Wrath 2 and Half Life Alyx. Too me, flat games are much better overall, with more depth to the gameplay itself. And it's more relaxing to play, compared to VR. I've given VR plenty of chances, since 2016, when I got my HTC Vive. The only VR game that I really loved, was Astrobot on PSVR. Until we get more quality games like that, VR will remain a niche.
Quest sells a lot, but it seems it became the VR version of Wii. People bought the Wii, just to play Wii Sports, and now they might buy a Quest, to play Beat saber, and nothing else.
If only Sony would give us folders, and an option to completely DELETE demos, and games I've played on PS+. Tired of having to hide the games and demos, in my library, that I'm never gonna play again.
I still don't understand, why there is no option to directly connect to the PS5, just like the gamepad did on the Wii U. There was basically zero lag, when I played games on the gamepad, and no artifacts.
Sony needs more competition. After the PS3/360 generation, Sony got really humbled, in the early PS4 era. Now they are more arrogant, than ever before...
It will soon be discovered, that Mark was sent back in time, by Skynet, to create Facebook, as a way to destroy our civilization. Now if someone could fix this, by sending back a T-800, to that same point in time, to terminate and erase this nightmarish timeline... As a bonus, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok and all the rest, will never be created as well.
If you're a PC gamer, like me, who also enjoy Playstation games, then we've already played the games, as we also own a PS console.
A game like Until Dawn, isn't exactly in the same league, as God of War and Ghost of Tsushima.
Finished the game once, on PS4, and don't feel the need of another playthrough.
This the kind of game, where you can just enjoy watching a youtube playthrough. Sure the fate of some characters end up different, but it always ends the same anyway.
Astrobot is the most fun I've had, with a videogame, in years. I hope the game wins, so Sony (hopefully) realises that we want more games like this. We need more 3D platformers on current gen consoles.
@frankmcma It was easier, I think they added more checkpoints. I failed a few times. But thanks to the checkpoints, it never became as frustrating. I also felt it was easier to stop them from sounding the alarm, instead of it instantly going off.
I tried a stealth mission, after the update, and it went much smoother. Before, it was like they could spot me from anywhere.
But I'll probably wait another month or two, until I jump back in, and give it a proper playthrough.
They really should have delayed the game, for another 6 months.
This is why I never buy Ubisoft games.
I always use Ubisoft+ instead.
Can't believe people actually pay for those overprice ultimate editions.
Exactly what I always wanted for these games. They just never shut up. And if you wanna explore a bit: "Over here", "Where are you going?" etc. Plus always pointing out the most obvious things... This should be a feature of all their future titles.
Played it with Ubisoft+ on PC, and after about 4-5 hours, I dropped out, and never returned.
The game is so damn generic, that if it didn't use the Star Wars license, nobody would have given a ***** about it.
The gameplay and controls are so janky, that the stealth sections becomes a chore to play.
Don't like the reputation system either. Make one small mistake, and it can mess up everything you were trying to build up.

Re: PS5 Pro Not Compatible with PS5 Slim Face Plates, Sony to Release New Covers for More Powerful Console
Well, they had to find a way, to keep milking the fans for extra plastic crap.

Re: After a Tough Few Months, Sony Says It'll Keep Making PS5 Live Service Games

I'm not looking forward to the next gen...

@C25CLOUD
Maybe by lowering the budgets of their AAA games instead? It's gotten way to bloated.
Re: After a Tough Few Months, Sony Says It'll Keep Making PS5 Live Service Games
It's like playing Lemmings.
Sony just keeps jumping off that cliff...
They'll never learn...
Re: Concord Cost Sony Over $200 Million, And Didn't Make a Single Cent

They deserve loosing all that money.
Maybe one day they will learn... or not...

Re: TV Show Review: Like a Dragon: Yakuza - Generic Japanese Crime Caper Doesn't Do SEGA Franchise Justice
I haven't enjoyed any of the Live action TV-shows based on videogames. Most tv-shows are ***** these days. So I had no hopes about this one either.
Re: Sony's Guerrilla Sounds Completely Done with the Killzone Series
Well, just sell the IP to someone else then.

Or maybe reboot Resistance.

Ugh...
It's gonna have the same problems, as most modern TV-shows.
5% action, and 95% drama.
"Can't wait" for Kratos having soap opera moments.
Just give us a videogame reboot, with old-school Kratos, back in Greece.
No more over the shoulder camera, and boring drama.
Re: Poll: Are You Using the PS5's New Welcome Hub?
I haven't turned on my PS5, since i finished Astro bot, so it haven't been updated yet. Doubt I'll use it anyway.

Never cared about trophies.
Too bad you can't just buy the game.
If you don't own a disc, and you have a PC, just emulate instead.
That way you can also render the game in higher resolution etc.
I sold my disc, a long time ago, but I modded my PS1, with X-station, so I don't have to deal with overpriced original discs anymore.
I hope we get a remake, just like the RE games, or a brand new game.
