@Jaberwocky It affects gamers by stiffling competition, and by consequence innovation and creativity.
As a gamer, I may get a series X if the good games are there, same reason I got a PS5 or a Switch. But the Microsoft ways always leave a bad taste in the mouth. I hope they do great things with the ip they've been acquiring but their history doesn't give me a lot of hope.
An interesting asymetric response could be to start working on PS Home/Metaverse together with Epic. Add value to the PS ecosystem and hit MS where they can't compete: innovation and creativity.
Petty Microsoft has been holding a grudge ever since Sony made fun of their Xbox one reveal fiasco. Small dick energy for sure.
@Ryguy2784 Completely agree. How can you not be angry when you pay at least $70 USD for a broken alpha?
Don't condone any threats or insults but it just feels like they are deflecting away from the fact that Battlefield 2042 was pretty much dead on arrival.
Not the devs really fault but EA's and DICE management. EA now has to greenlight Titanfall 3 to make up for it. #LoseWin
I hope they can turn it around. The concept had potential. Maybe add PS IP characters, bigger arenas ala Twisted Metal Black Making it more like a classic car combat game is not a bad idea. Maybe as a game mode?
If access to the classic catalog is not half-assed then I wouldn't undersestimate its ability to stand against gamepass. Sony has way better classic IPs than xbox but they have to work with publishers in order to get the strong third-party titles.
Not full on remake but R* did charge full price for them, huh?
To think they were one of my favorite devs of the ps2/ps3 era.
Happens to all game companies. They become successfull and transition into becoming soulless corporations that milk their own content to death until every unit of value has been squeezed from them.
Reading the comments I can see the most positive things anyone can say about this game is "it looks gorgeous" and "not boring just not for everyone".
At least everyone's stopped indulging Kojima with his dumb "I created new strand genre" bs. He did help shape the stealth genre but did not create it either.

Re: Preview: New Saints Row Looks Like Fantastic Fun, But It's Also Distinctly Last-Gen
So gamers are better off just getting the REAL Saint's Row games.
It´s one of those games that looks like it was made using Activision's diverse-o-meter xD.
Re: Dreams Update 2.44 Brings Big Improvements to Create Mode, Available Now
If Sony wants to unlock this game´s potential they should include it free of charge for every ps plus user, any tier.
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's Latest State of Play?
Exoprimal looks interesting but I still have no clue why Capcom did not call it Dino Crisis. It's literally one.
Missed opportunity to bring back badass gal Regina imo.
Edit: That said, I hope this is as much like Lost Planet 2 as possible.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Elden Ring?
@Hibari89 Now is the perfect time for them to revisit Armored Core if you ask me.
Or Cookie & Cream.
Re: So, Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Probably Never Happening
It's for the best. The game was nothing like the first one.
Just remake the original in 4k and ray tracing and be done with it.
Re: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition Remaster Is Real, Adventures to PS4 in April
Tbh I expected it to look a "bit" better. I think this is a game that could have benefited from a total remake.
Re: Sony More Likely Than Microsoft to Acquire a Japanese Game Company, Analyst Explains
@jFug This or Square Enix would be big wins in my book just for the huge amount of valuable IP they come with.
Between the two I would prefer Capcom. Just imagine: PS Allstars VS Capcom.
Re: Bungie's New Destiny Expansion Amasses One Million Pre-Orders
Nice to know 1.2 of those 3.6 billion are towards the people actually making the games.
Regarding Destiny, I played it back when Forsaken released but never really got hooked.
Re: Interview: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Devs Talk Inspiration, Difficulty Options, Chaos Memes, and More
There's going to be a "chaos!" achievement, right?
Re: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Is So PS2 It Hurts
I think SquarEnix is taking the Deadly Premonition route of "so bad it's essential" school of game design.
And it's working. Full on cheese with a side of CHAOS!
Re: Talking Point: What PS Plus Games for February 2022 Do You Want?
@Danloaded Nier Replicant would be awesome!
Re: Forgotten PS5 Crash-'Em-Up Destruction AllStars Refreshes Scoring in Update
Sony should have made a new Twisted Metal in the first place.

Re: This Is Why PlayStation Wants to Make Smartphone Games
Completely forgot that WipEout Rush existed. Hope that Sony recognizes the potential of a new gamer as a flagship for PSVR2.
A proper new WipEout with racer-like ship customization and licenses/cups, etc. would be insane. VR would be icing on the cake.

Re: Showa American Story Is a PS5, PS4 Action RPG Straight Out of the PS2 Playbook
Jiggly boob physics completely necessary? I thought the industry had grown beyond this but it seems the DoA spirit lives on.
Beside this it looks like a decent "7.0 score" jank of a game.
Re: Summer Game Fest Will Return This Year
Does enough to fill the E3-sized hole left in the summer but I still miss those big old events that felt like gamer christmas.
Re: Konami Pisses Everyone Off for Castlevania's 35th Anniversary
I wish Konami would sell some of their franchises to Sony. At least one of the big three: Metal Gear, Silent Hill or Castlevania.
Re: There's a Stronger, Mysterious Tribe in Horizon Forbidden West on PS5, PS4
@nessisonett Forbidden West Side.
Re: Destruction AllStars January Update Will Make Key Changes to Gameplay, Presentation
I hope they can turn it around. The concept had potential. Maybe add PS IP characters, bigger arenas ala Twisted Metal Black
Making it more like a classic car combat game is not a bad idea. Maybe as a game mode?
Re: Raw Forspoken Gameplay Features Combat, Menus
Looking great but MC is kinda annoying.
Re: Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann to Present at The Game Awards
Some Factions 2 crumbs, please.
Re: PS Now's GTA 3 Is Available to Stream Only
Broken game. Who cares.
Re: Rumour: New PlayStation Subscription Will Give Access to PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP Games
If true I hope Monster Hunter Freedom Unite makes the cut for the PSP classics roster so I don't have to get a Vita.
Re: Reaction: Merging PS Plus and PS Now Makes Sense, But an Xbox Game Pass Competitor Can't Be Half-Arsed

Re: Battlefield to Become a Connected Universe with Multiple Games and Experiences
This is how the Battlefield franchise finally dies, chasing trends. Feel bad for BF1942 which as a bonafide groundbreaking masterpiece.
Re: Fanatec's Gran Turismo 7 Racing Wheel Available to Pre-Order from $700 Now
Can't wait to see an Elden Ring GT7 wheel no-hit run.
Re: Kojima Productions Expands into TV, Film, and Music
This man is the greatest snake oil salesman the game industry has ever seen. Molyneux pales in comparison.
Re: PlayStation Studios Has More than 25 PS5 Games in the Works, Jim Ryan Reiterates
I hope one of those 25 is a new Bloodborne or a Demon's Souls 2 following the "pure" souls formula.
Re: Here's the Obligatory GTA Trilogy PS5, PS4 Bugs and Glitches Compilation
Crazy to think that it was Rockstar that pulled this year's Cyberpunk.
Re: GTA Trilogy's Inevitable Backlash Is Already Brewing

Re: Square Enix Insinuates Crystal Dynamics Was the Wrong Dev for Marvel's Avengers
It was an odd fit from the start.
Re: Chinese Open World RPG Honor of Kings Looks Mind Bogglingly Good
Damn. Chinese RPGs putting everyone to shame, visually, with these upcoming projects.
Re: Team Ninja's New Action Game Is Based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Very interesting coupled with the recent news of Bloodborne's SIE producer joining Team Ninja for a new project, probably this one.
Re: PS4 Exclusive God of War Releasing on PC in January
Great for PC gamers.
Doesn't bother me in the slightlest tbh but hurry up with that Bloodborne remaster!
Re: Squid Game Meets Its FMV Match in Bloodshore, Out Next Month
Watch Midnight Mass.
Re: Soapbox: Some Games Assume You Know How to Play Them, and It's Kinda Weird
Not a NES era gamer, huh?
Re: GTA Trilogy Could Be Pretty Pricey on PS5, PS4
Rockstar has become a parody of of the parodies they used to make in those PS2 games. Can't make that up.
Re: Bloodborne Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa Teams Up with Team Ninja
@Ultrasmiles I think I'd give them the benefit of the doubt considering Bloodborne's producer is on board and the know-how they carry over from Nioh.
Re: WipEout Rush Is a New Entry in Sony's Iconic Series for Smartphones in 2022
I can forgive this if we get a new WipEout for PSVR2/PS5.
Re: Mini Review: Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl (PS5) - Featuring Absolutely No Trace of Doug
Just makes me wish Sony would give PS All-Stars another chance.
Re: Ghost Recon Frontline Announced, Is a Free-to-Play, Massive Multiplayer Shooter for PS5, PS4
So their new take is Escape from Tarkov.
Re: Uncertainty After Panzer Dragoon VR Boss Falsely Declared Dead
Remake Panzer Dragoon Saga as VR. Please?
Re: Sony Allegedly Funding Kojima Productions Silent Hill Game
Honestly I'd prefer the original SILENT HILL team involved in the Sony-funded project.
Hideo Kojima is just going to use half the budget to make more personal Hollywood connections and tour around the world. Again.
I'd rather Sony saved that money and give it to FROM instead to begin development on a Bloodborne sequel asap.
Re: Twisted Metal Creator Hurt by Sony Snub Over Rumoured New Game
"And everyone understood Sony after."
When was the last time David Jaffe was involved with a good game?
Re: Sony Allegedly Funding Kojima Productions Silent Hill Game
@captainaverage FINALLY SOMEONE SPEAKIN SOME GODDAMN SENSE!
Re: Sony Allegedly Funding Kojima Productions Silent Hill Game
Sony, you had the ORIGINAL Silent Hill devs.
Please STOP giving money to boring auteur Kojima or you´ll get another Monster-branded walking sim for your troubles.
You've been warned.
Re: Jim Ryan to Discuss PlayStation's Past and Gaming's Future in Fireside Chat
Don´t ***** this up, Jim.
