Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0?

Waiting for a good sale on the bundle of the base game and the DLC, looks like Cyberpunk is finally in a state where I may enjoy it on PS5, though the limited time-trial I tried some time ago didn't impress me too much. I am keeping my mind open, though.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Hogwarts Legacy Flying High with Second Week at Number One

It's mind-boggling that Grand Theft Auto V still on the list. I found a source online which mentioned that as of Feb 2023, the game sold 175 million copies worldwide. Meanwhile, the total amount of PS4 consoles sold is around 118 million, and PS5 consoles is at 32 million.

So there must be 25 million people who bought two copies of the game (maybe one for PS4 and one for PS5 since the list doesn't mention platforms). That's just crazy.

Now I can finally start hoping for the Complete Edition to start dropping in price so that I can buy the game fully patched with all the story content for a reasonable price. Hopefully shouldn't take long now for the price to hit $20 which is my sweet spot for any Ubisoft open-world icon-clearing effort.

I'm looking forward to the remaster, having finished both games previously on PS4. Agree with the previous commenter that the games were made on a budget and it shows in certain scenes but I'm not opposed to replaying the whole package again just to re-experience certain scenes in Unreal Engine 5.

@Ravix You may be right, it looked to me like the gold bar is some kind of time-based special ability (at least judging by it not increasing when damaging enemies) and the blue bar above it is the Force bar which gets replenished on each hit you do. The video shows the special ability activated towards the end, it could be some kind of bubble where your Force doesn't deplete for a time.

It looks like Respawn still thinks it's better if Force bar doesn't regenerate automatically but only through damaging enemies. I feel that the first game was very stingy in this regard and more often than not I found myself wishing to use my Force powers but realizing I don't have enough juice to do so.

Hopefully there's a skill or something to regenerate Force automatically, that should make the game more fun for me.

Re: Trick Your Friends in PS5's Deceive Inc, Out 21st March

I know we haven't even had a chance to play the game but I tend to agree that the amount of titles in the genre feels a bit too much, especially since they're all aiming to capture the same limited audience (people who like to play online with other people, and not Warzone or Fortnite).

The faux-1960s spy aesthetics makes me miss No One Lives Forever (I know I'm dating myself here), we need someone to finally figure out the tangled mess that are the rights to NOLF and get a proper release, or ideally a remaster.

Re: Xbox, Nintendo Reportedly Join Sony in Skipping E3

I like the idea of repurposing E3 to focus on indie games since those are the ones who need the exposure. Big players can handle the hype machine in their own shows but indie developers are the ones working on shoestring budgets and any exposure could mean the difference between a profitable launch, or a studio going under.
