I don’t think any console allows for two independent games to be played at once and output to separate screens. And if one did it would obviously massively limit the quality of those games. I think what you are looking for is another dedicated console, just in portable form. There’s a Switch for that.

Weird. I’ve never experienced any screen tearing that’s exclusive to the portal. Did this occur in all games for you, or just games that have screen tearing on a larger screen where it is harder to see because the screen isn’t right in your face?
I did hear tell about something exclusive to the portal but only on certain games, but I’ve never experienced it. If it is limited could you tell me what specific games it happens on, it could actually stop me purchasing those games given how much utility the Portal has for me. It’s already got to the point where not being able to play it on my own portable screen would almost be a red line.

Yes, I’m still using it pretty much every day. It’s no exaggeration to say my gaming time has tripled since I got it.

Not sure why that last one is restricted to the slim console, sounds like it should be a software thing, but I guess there must be a hardware requirement and my launch console doesn’t have it. Oh well, mine are constantly on the dock anyway.

Loving this game. One of my best non-VR games of the year. You get used to the controls in 2 minutes (maybe it would be harder for people who didn’t grow up pre analogue sticks I guess) and who cares about the low res UI? This is a 9/10 for me no question.

Completely stopped some games being ported, dictated the removal of entire game modes / minigames, changed underwear to weird black “shadows”, removed certain camera angles, refused to tell devs what’s allowed so they have to play it very very safe and, worst of all, impacted games even on other platforms because devs don’t want to make multiple copies of the same game.

Man I hate Sony. If it wasn’t for VR, my digital catalogue and my trophy metagame I would just switched to PC were at least moders can fix some of the more egregious gaming assaults. In fact, with PSVR2 becoming somewhat compatible with PC and digital games so cheap over there I may just make the jump anyway.

Then again, perhaps things will change now someone new is in charge. We can hope.

Absolutely bloody perfect! Will Sony let the game look like this now after censoring the likes of Dead of Alive previously?

If only it wasn’t connected to free to play multiplayer rubbish I would pick it up for the ballsy aesthetic alone and to show Sony there is still support on their platform for this content despite their having done their best to destroy it since 2018.

Nothing for me, but I guess it might be helpful for those playing online.

I realise the game is huge, but it has really come to something when patches to make a game work as desired are reported on like they are DLC or something.

I understand the commercial reasons for just needing to get a game out the door, but a “big patch 7” is pushing it a bit.

I’m interested in the game and will get it eventually, but this just makes me feel better about my decision to wait.

Hope everyone else is enjoying it though, and thanks for testing everything for me.

Goes to show people will play any old crap if it’s free. People seemingly just don’t value their time (or have far more of it free than I do at least).

I wouldn’t read too much into that. People get interrupted with life, or may need to think hard. Anyone who wants to cheat for whatever reason would just have a dummy run on an alt to get all the answers, then would run through it fast.

The thing is, we gamers who made Playstation successful are simply no longer the biggest or most lucrative audience. Hence going after this rubbish.

Kingdom come deliverance, football manager 2024, job simulator and Jeanne d’arc. Haven’t played this many games simultaneously for a while, although FM is kind of just an ongoing thing

Pace has always dominated every FIFA game. But in 14 precision passing reigned supreme via the manual passing system utilising the right analogue stick. With enough skill you could feed the runners and lob the keeper from any angle. And it was skill, not this magnetic passing rubbish. In fact, players with enough skill were so dominant that, in FIFA 15, they had to artificially nerf precision, as well as adjust the bounce so over the top manual through balls were no longer viable to run onto.

The game needs a total overhaul. I tried playing the one on Plus when it was given away, after not playing since FIFA 14, and every single aspect of the game has regressed considerably. If this is just further refinement of a turd I’ll give it a miss.

Koi Koi: Love Blossoms finally on sale. Not quite at the right price for me yet though.

More challenges to tick off from the developer. Perfect. Can always do with that in older games.

I stopped reading at “cultural appropriation” 🙄 hate that concept, so divisive.

It is extremely strange to me of course, as I’ve grown up in a mixed country (UK) but if the more homogenous Chinese want to have that reflected in their game then who am I to demand otherwise? It’s their game world.

Now if it was spreading negative stereotypes of others then that’s a completely different thing worthy of condemnation, but they can put whomever they wish in their own game, and leave out whomever they wish.

And if anyone needs to know I’m not a person of colour so perhaps my opinion is irrelevant. I’m also part Chinese (well, Hong Kongese), so maybe worse than irrelevant. I don’t care.

Never played it as it wasn’t one of my launch games and it seemed to have flown under my radar. Still, always happy for a non bloated JRPG, especially with trophy challenges. Might give it a go between bigger games.

Yes!!! Definitely will be playing this now. Skipped PSP games generally as they lacked the entire trophy challenge metagame that so many other games enjoyed.

Depends. This isn’t live service, so in this case it just means they want me to hold on to the game while it loses value long after I would have already got rid of it, and likely until after I’ve generally lost interest and memory of what the hell was going. I much prefer to wait until everything is available.

Why would post release content convince me to preorder? If anything it would encourage me to wait.

Another psvr2 game in job simulator! Never got it on PSVR1 as it had room scale requirements and I didn’t have the space back then, but looking forward to trying it now.

Jeanne de arc also looks brilliant. Had a vita but no psp games as they lacked the entire trophy challenge metagame, so hopefully trophy challenges get added to this.

So they realise growing the userbase is no longer possible for them, and have pivoted to the “milk the existing player base to pay for the games given “free”” endgame. Glad Sony were not part of that.

Not working for me in UK (iOS). Never even got the updated notification.

Always nervous when they changed the greatest franchise of all time. The move to turn based, although I like it, hasn’t been a complete success for me. I enjoyed the older style more. Im hoping if it is a big departure it’ll just be some type of spin off.

The problem with these games is that they are designed to suck up all of your time, gate content behind Microtransactions to various degrees if you don’t want to spend a huge amount of time in the game, and engage in timed activities that make demands on when you play. All to keep you “engaged” over playing everything else. For me, no matter how good the game is, the opportunity cost is just too high.

I got Thornbreaker the Witcher Tales in the sale, so started that. I also got Kingdom Come Deliverance, but not sure if I’ll start that yet as I’m still playing Tales of Vesperia and Football Manager 2024…

That is indeed *****. Can have a real impact on someone’s career, not just their feelings. That type of deceit is essentially theft from the company (your pay and bonuses are likely related to your output), not to mention theft from the person whose work you are claiming. I can see why they had to let him go in this case. Seems like a real sh**bag if true.

Fair enough. So what did the guy do to lose this job (and probably many others)? “Toxic behaviour” is about as vague as it gets as an accusation. Or do we have to wait until some evidence arises before we get details?

This isn’t that clear. Is it put on hold due to quality, or just because the star is getting cancelled for poor behaviour? Seems a waste if the latter.

As someone who thinks the Yakuza series is the best ever made, and has platinumed every game in the series, including all available spin offs, other than Ishin, I would heavily suggest giving it a miss if you have any of the other ones to play.

Kingdom Come Deliverance Royal Edition for £3.49. I keep going to buy it but my backlog is so large and it’s a very time consuming game.

Really interested in this. Cold steel one and two were great but switching from ps3 to 4 I lost the save for two and I’d already completed it once and didn’t want to have to do two more runs for the plat. That, along with it getting a bit repetitive, kind of soured me on continuing from 3.

This refresh could be just what I’ve been waiting for.

Makes sense to be open world, but why do I need to have others invade my space (and likely be always online)? Now if it was local split screen I’d be all for it, but that won’t happen.
