I actually have nothing to play this weekend. I just 100%’d my (thus far) GOTY in Stellar Blade and I’m looking for something to play. With both XDefiant and System Shock coming out in a few days, plus a new sale on the PSN store set for next week as well, I may just take a break from gaming for a few days. I hope everyone else enjoys whatever they’re getting into this weekend. Cheers!
The game is a ton of fun ……..while it lasts. Once you’ve spent a few weeks with it, the gameplay loop tends to get a bit old and there’s not enough diversity of missions to keep it interesting. Once I had platinumed the game (after about 2-3 weeks) I put it down and haven’t picked it up since. I do still have it installed on my PS5 because I keep telling myself I want to play it again, but I just never do as there’s always something else I’d rather spend time with.
Still thoroughly enjoying my GOTY (thus far) Stellar Body……uh…… Jiggle Blade……. I mean STELLAR BLADE!!! It is indeed quite a ‘stellar’ game. Getting near the end of my first playthrough after having picked up every single collectible possible and taking my sweet time with the game. Very much looking forward to my NG+ run.
Biggest dev team yet, eh? And yet, where Battlefield is concerned, given its track record, it could end up being the series biggest failure yet, which is saying something considering BF V and especially BF 2042. I remain exceptionally skeptical …….
WOW! Tango is a surprise to me. Both of The Evil Within games were excellent and Ghostwire was quite solid as well. Wonder what MS was thinking there. Arkane isn’t shocking as Prey was excellent (including it’s DLC) but that other title was TERRIBLE.
I always have to laugh at the trolls who intentionally vote a quality, well-made game like this below a 5. I can see people who aren’t fans of the game thinking it’s derivative or ‘average’. But to call it anything less than that is absolutely laughable and absurd. gave it a 9 myself after only 15 hours into it. As for Eve herself? Perfect 10 and some of those outfits are just 🤪😍🤪. I wish Western developers weren’t afraid to make their female protagonists that easy on the eyes….
I'll likely give this a try. I'm not afraid to say I enjoy COD and pick it up every year, but the MP portion of it has become an absolute farce as of late and is more like military Fortnight than anything. Maybe this will be better? Heck, for free it's at least worth a shot.
People crying ‘CENSORSHIP!!!’ in this game are a laugh. Have they not noticed the equippable skin suit or jiggling breasts? Or what about how many of her outfits are basically body paint, for all intents and purposes? And some of those outfits even have a line going through her crotch to make it even MORE suggestive. I hardly think censorship was on anyone’s mind when they designed and created this game. And besides, if they were going to censor this game, a small amount of cleavage on a bathing suit would have been the very LAST place I would think they would start.
@Czar_Khastik Thanks m8! I'm busy as well with a lot of family stuff going on but it's all good. Just been spending some time gaming with SKULL ISLAND: The Rise Of Kong. If you like that Gollum game you'll love Skull Island (LOLOLOL). Be well!!
@Czar_Khastik 🤣🤣🤣 I knew you wouldn’t disappoint. That response was PURE GOLD. I have to say, I may just be your biggest fan on this site as, admittedly, I always find myself looking through the responses to whatever articles I click on for your posts. Keep up the fantastic work and I hope you’re doing well!
I just got Stellar Blade but haven’t done much w it besides installing it and porting over the save file from the demo. This weekend I want to finish and enjoy Remnant 2’s most recent DLC The Forgotten Kingdom. I don’t like playing 2 games at the same time if I can help it as I don’t like getting the control schemes mixed up. And I also want to take my time w Stellar Blade and just enjoy it.
There are actually very few Xbox titles I have interest in and none of them are currently on PS. However if Gears of War, Halo, Sunset Overdrive or maybe even Quantum Break ever make it to PS I will definitely be all over those.
I’ve played both Fallout 3 and 4 to 100% completion on the trophy stack and that’s enough to last me a lifetime for Fallout games. They’re aight but overrated IMHO.
Interesting…… the PS Store in the USA shows it as being full price right now? I definitely want to play this game at some point but with Stellar Blade coming out this week and the Remnant 2 DLC having just dropped, it’s gonna be a while. Glad to hear all the performance issues have largely been fixed as that’s what put me off the game at release. It looks absolutely amazing and I do enjoy a good souls-like.
@DennisReynolds @Pepsiman_100
The body style of the main character (including the longer legs - not just the 'painted on' costume), running style, music, combo-based attacks all harken back to Bayonetta for me. Plus, when I was playing the demo, I seem to recall there was a pause menu or section of the game where you could try out diffrent attacks and it would show you what inputs you were hitting which was extremely close to what Bayonetta did on it's loading screen.
Don't get me wrong - I do see some comparisons to Nier as well. And I know the game director (I believe it was?) said Nier was an inspiration for Stellar Blade. But for me I just see the DNA of Bayonetta in this game moreso than Nier.
And I'll just throw it out there and be 'that guy', but I think Nier is rather overrated. It's a decent game and all but I don't get everyone's wild praise for the game. It was 'just OK' IMHO.
It’s funny to see everyone comparing Stellar Blade to Nier. To me, at least, it’s far more reminiscent of Bayonetta than Nier and I say that having played both games.
Haven’t really had much to play as of late so I’ve been going back and getting 100% on some games I platinumed but never 100%’d. After doing that with Fallout 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn recently, I’m now on Horizon Forbidden West and hoping the Burning Shores DLC and NG+ will keep me busy until the next Remnant 2 DLC lands and Stellar Blade shortly after that. happy gaming this weekend everyone!
As much as I’d love to see both Dead Space 2 AND 3 get remade, I’d much prefer a remake / remaster of the Resistance trilogy. Now THAT is a series in serious need of an update!
Huh. That's odd. My support for that game ended shortly after buying and playing it. One of the most miserable gaming experiences I've ever had. And with 267 games on my profile, that's saying something considering some of the duds I've stumbled across..... In fact, after the state in which BF V and 2042 launched in, I won't get fooled a third time. I'll be waiting for numerous patches and a few price drops before I get lured back into that franchise.
I highly doubt $70 games are a ‘temporary’ thing. As long as there’s inflation (which there always will be) and people keep paying that price for games ‘they have to have!!’, that price is not going away.
Myself, I RARELY ever pay full price for a game. I simply put games I’m interested in on a wishlist and wait until they hit a threshold I’m comfortable paying for.
Unfortunately I really don’t have anything to play until the DLC for RESISTANCE: Retribution comes out next week….. maybe I’ll jump back into Helldivers 2. Been a few weeks since I played that.
Kind of BS that they’d create a ‘skin suit’ for a protagonist that’s had much made of her body and where they’ve applied ‘jiggle physics’ to her boobs and then say “don’t use the pervy skin suit’. Hypocrisy much?
I’ve decided to go back and complete three of the DLC’s I never finished waaaaay back in the day for Fallout 3 on PS3 so I’m spending so time doing that. It’s almost painful to do though because the graphics are just terrible compared to what I’ve been used to for so many years now and the gameplay itself is just CLUNKY. But, it’s still somewhat enjoyable in a nostalgic way.
Great idea for the devs / publisher to put a demo out there for this. It definitely helped inform my buying decision. More new IP’s should be doing this, especially if the devs and publishers stand behind their product.
Just spent some time playing this and I liked it enough to pre-order a copy. Definitely get some STRONG Bayonetta vibes from it for sure. The music, fighting style, sex appeal, character physique, etc.all make me think ‘Bayonetta’ which certainly isn’t a bad thing! Very much looking forward to playing the full release in a few weeks. Great idea to put a demo out there for this as it absolutely helped inform my purchase decision. More brand new IP’s should be doing this, especially if the devs really stand behind their work.
Very much looking forward to this, but I have the feeling that if it turns out to be a ‘difficult game’ , that may put some people off of it. Hopefully there are difficulty settings. I, personally, don’t mind the challenge, but some people do and avoid tougher games because of it.
Not really sure what I’m playing this weekend, actually. I just platinumed Helldivers 2 and don’t have anything in my backlog, so I’m looking for something new to play. Might go back and do the Spider-Man 2 NG+ trophy but …..?????🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
Had no idea this was even out there but I’ll definitely have my eye on it. Looks like a potentially good game. Certainly something to play in the Summer months as it doesn’t look like there’s much coming out at that time.
I don't buy much at full price anymore so I'll likely grab this once it hits the $20 - $30 range. I will say though, the fact that it was on sale for 10% off on the PS Store long before it was even released was a big red flag to begin with.
