What are service based games even? Online games? Not my thing, I play Smash Bros 4 online with my buddy every now and then but that's pretty much the extenct of it.

I think it was more of the matter that SO4 had an actual budget.

Huh, wasn't much of a fan of this installation to be perfectly honest, now that I got to try SO3 on the PS4 as well (And quit because it kept freezing) I can safely say that Star Ocean 2 Second Story is the only game in this series that I like.

Removing the character customization was a mistake, it was one of the main things that made Saints Row for me.

And then it all gets covered by 4 layers of armor, the woes of character creators in RPG settings.

I used to love FF9 when I was younger, but after numerous playthroughs the tedious parts of the game, namely the Chocobo Minigame and stealing from bosses wore me down to the point where I really don't feel like playing it anymore.

Final Fantasy 7 and 5 are my favorites in the series.

Well getting to 1000 in the jump rope game was already a challenge in the original that completionists must face since it did award you the (pointless) King of Jump Rope key item, so it's not as if anything really changed for those who want to waste their time to 100% their game.

I think I managed to get to 200 in the PAL copy that I had as a kid, but in the North American copy I've only gotten up to 100.

Rest of those challenges honestly sound like nothing special, it's just a matter of grinding and patience.

Meh, the story and soundtrack were both decent but I didn't find the overall gameplay anything special.

It's a good game sure, but I fail to see how it could be considered a GOTY contender or w/e.

I used to like FF9 a lot more when I was younger but after multiple repeat playthroughs I've gotten so sick of the Steal Mechanics and the Chocobo Minigame that just thinking about those makes me not want to play it.

I'm going to assume this is based on the Steam version though? If you want to play FF9 get this version, it fixes the abysmal load times and there is an option to make the battle cut-ins less long, making it overall a much smoother experience.

Tried to get into this series with the first coldsteel game about a month or so ago.

Honestly I fail to see why some people think its so good. Felt very similar to Persona, but with a lot less interesting story.

Never was too big on Secret of Mana, but if they fix the magic system so that you don't need to go to the menu and stop the flow of the game every time you want to use magic. Then I might consider it, at some point anyway.

Seems to have a very similar gimmick to Viola from Soul Calibur 5.

So you can't create your own character in this? That's one of those things that I absolutely loved in Saints Row series.

Dunno how playable this would be without a mouse.

Team battle mode is the single biggest and most puzzling omission in the game. It would make it a lot better if that were to return at least.

As far as characters go, Lei is the one I want to see back by far the most.

I tried the first Coldsteel game on the PS3, frankly I don't see what all the hubbub is about. Nothing about the game particularly stood out for me.

I haven't played 1 or 2, but I find number 3 a very solid entry in the series, well the SNES version anyway. Haven't played the NES original or Gameboy Color port.

Looks good to me, maybe they just wanted to make a souls game, but obviously can't so they just make not-Dark Souls instead. Personally I see nothing wrong with that.

Very nice! Dragon Quest has been bit of a hit and miss series for me, but I'm still very much looking forward to this.

Meh, just like with I am Setsuna, the soundtrack fails to impress, at least they seem to have added more than a single instrument (piano) for a track but still everything sounds so boring and samey, the battle theme in particular lacks any urgency. I'll be giving this a miss, get some better composers and then we'll talk.

Can we just pretend like the whole FFXIII series never existed in the first place? Thanks.

Looks like standard post Sonic Unleashed shtick to me, dunno what the problem is exactly.

It's nice to get someone actually really cool as a guest character, I've always found Akuma exceedingly lame, just like the series he comes from. Also love this rendition of Geese's theme, it better be in the game too!

The slow-gameplay was my one really big gripe with the original and here the speed-up feature fixes that, it alone makes the game infinitely better in my eyes, and the addition of the job system is really cool also.

I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites in the series still, but this port has certainly increased my opinion of it.

I remember trying this out in the SS Anthology Collection and thought it was a right down mess with how many characters it had.

Honestly PS4 has been kind of weak this year, Nier Automata didn't really do anything for me and Tekken 7, while decent, feels like a downgrade from TTT2 in many aspects.

Though I haven't yet played Persona 5 or Yakuza 0, those might change my opinion. And I am incredibly hyped for the FF12 remake.

I would be actually mad if they made one before 2020.

I didn't grow up with Crash at all (PS1 was solely an RPG machine for me), and frankly when I tried the platformers much later they didn't impress me much so I will be giving this collection a miss.

Crash Team Racing was super fun though and I was surprised how competent kart racer it was, every bit Mario Karts equal, maybe even better. I would absolutely buy a remake of that one.

Game keeps freezing for me. During my 5 or so hours of play time I've already froze 3 times. Sorry, but that translates to unplayable for me.

Well I own both systems, so I would be happy to see both thrive.

Especially the Switch considering its replacing the 3DS, aka the best system since the almighty SNES and PS1.

I had only a single pet peeve with the gambit system, you couldn't set it so that your allies would use steal when an enemy has an item. You need to do that **** manually and unless you like being poor in a game where you need A LOT of money you're going to waste a lot of time picking the steal option from the menu.

It really does look good, but to be fair it always was one of the best looking games on the PS2. I'm pretty hyped for this, I have never fully completed for this and I think it's about time I'm gonna change that.

Stick of Truth was great, but honestly what I've seen of the gameplay the battle system has taken a turn for the worse in this one, it just looks shallow in comparison, the super hero theme also doesn't particularly interest me, I always skipped those episodes in the show too. I'm definetly going to see the reviews first on this one.

I don't agree with that at all, Tekken 3 had a bloody amazing soundtrack, Tekken 1-2 were hardly bad from what I've heard of them and Tekken 5 was passable at the very least.

I appreciate the Jukebox mode, but there is still no excuse for this to sound this bad.

Awesome, awesome! Been wanting to play this, I bought a PS2 copy a few years back, but then that ended up being busted and it was left at that.

I doubt its going to top SO2 for me, but I can always hope.

Question: Do these PS2 re-releases run on 60HZ or 50HZ on the PAL version?

Well the music they like to use still makes my ears bleed. I'm getting this day one still, but what were the composers on when they thought that this sounds fine?

I need to play this one again sometime, I'd actually place it pretty high on my Resident Evil totem pole.

I would have gotten this anyway, but if I had still been on the fence then this trailer probably would have sold me.

I'm just excited for the speed up function, there was way too much running around in boring, empty wastelands and I think a speed up function is just what the game needs.

I played the Turbografx-16 version some years ago, it was decent but I dunno if I cared for it enough to give this one a shot.

Wow, this game actually looks pretty cool, I've never had much interest before but I think I'm going to get this at some point.

Haven't gotten it yet, maybe some time. I'm going to assume it is similar to Persona 3 & 4 with the dungeon crawling combined with the slice of life stuff, I'm currently really not in the mood for something like that.

I do like Kingdom Hearts 1 a lot, but I don't really feel like triple dipping for that, the other games in the series don't do it for me.

How much is FF15 then? If its cheap enough I might even consider getting it.

Oh, this game. I played it on Steam, I thought it was kinda meh. But I suppose there are worse ways to spend your money.

Contrary to what most people seem to think here, I thought the graphics were one of the games' higher points, the animation is cool and the enviroments in particular look really nice.
