Due to the many games in November I had no intention to buy it and just focus on LAD Gaiden + Super Mario RPG, but I keep getting tempted by it, especially when I have £18 in my PS Store Wallet to invest towards it which would take it down from £45 to £27
Got nothing against digital but I will always prefer physical as an option, especially when I can get most physical releases cheaper than I would with digital. If digital prices were better and sales were more generous like Steam I'd probably consider buying more releases digital but for now I'm happy to stick to buying physical releases on Switch and PS5.
Don't understand why people are so mad about suggesting PS5's low sales the last two weeks are due to a new model coming and that's why Xbox Series is selling better. PS5 doesn't sell as well as Switch of course but it usually does a decent amount, 30K-40K most weeks and others lower but often it is well ahead of Xbox Series sales which ranges from 3-5K, to some weeks barely being able to reach 1000. So I fail to see why people are mad at that suggestion. Seems a bit crazy for it to just dip down that low without a reason and it seems logical with a new model dropping November 10th, they aren't going to go crazy with providing stock for an older model when a nice new model is about to launch. People just go too crazy when a console does better one week than what is the standard and think the landscape of Japan is changing. I recall in 2022 Series outsold PS5 one week and people were acting like Xbox was on it's way to dominate Japan, next week Xbox sales were low and PS5 were back to normal
Happy 500! Going to be focusing on finishing Spider-Man 2 this weekend. Feels like there's so much side content and everything has been refined perfectly for the sequel. If I can fit some time in for it a bit more of the wonderful Mario Wonder too.
Was playing Trails in the Sky but don't think I'll finish before Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros Wonder so will give Honkai Star Rail a try while waiting
I can't handle early 2024's schedule. LAD Infinite Wealth, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Persona 3 Reload and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth all in a month. Where am I going to find the time for all of this 😭 gonna need to find a good excuse to get a long time off work
@Lavalera Us JRPG fans eating so well, it's crazy how much my PS5 is going to get used in 2024 because of these games. I just have this uneasy feeling LAD Infinite Wealth will be February. SEGA are releasing LAD Gaiden and P5 Tactica a week apart so I wouldn't be shocked if they are crazy enough to put P3 Reload and LAD Infinite Wealth in the same month.
I was planning to play Baten Kaitos 1 + 2 Remaster this weekend on Switch but my copy has been delayed and unless it magically gets delivered in the post even though payment hasn't been taken from it along with a dispatched notification from base.com, won't be happening. So I guess I will spend more time playing the demo for Dragon Quest Monsters which I'm very mad about Square Enix quietly dropping without any fanfare, they really don't want the series to do well here. And I could probably finish Bayonetta Origins, which I started playing slowly in the week to keep me busy while waiting for Baten Kaitos. It's very different from the traditional Bayonetta experience, and won't appeal to everyone but it's still a lot of fun. As you can tell a lot of gaming on the Switch right now, PS5 is in waiting mode until Spider-Man 2, LAD Gaiden and P5 Tactica drop.
@UltimateOtaku91 Thanks for sharing this. Now this seems like a more reasonable price for the game from what I know about it. Will pre-order now, shall be a good choice for when I finish Sea of Stars this weekend. Although it will get overshadowed by Eternights, Pokemon SV and Baten Kaitos the following week, I'll have a copy without worrying about the prices hiking and I can finish it off once those three games are done.
Been interested in Monochrome Mobius but the £54.99 price tag and how it looks hasn't sold me on buying day one. I'm sure I'll get a decent time out of it, but probably best to wait for a sale.
NISA's PS5 ports feel pointless to me but in a way some are nice because it makes some of these games easier to get, Ys 9 for example I had difficulty finding last year on PS4 so it's nice in the physical side of things. But outside that seems a bit pointless since the games run well on PS4 already
Going to be playing Sea of Stars this weekend on PS5, 6 hours in so far and what a charming game. You can tell this was a passion project for the developers with how good it looks, the music and the personality the characters have. Should be done before Eternights, Pokemon SV DLC and Baten Kaitos all drop in the next 10-13 days. Been hearing plenty of good things about Armored Core 6 too but not sure if it would fully be my thing, if only it had a demo
PS Plus Extra is the only good tier at this point. Base tier for Plus monthly games can be a mix of good to absolutely poor. Plus Premium has been underwhelming with content since launch, with The Legend of Dragoon and Wild Arms 2 being the few things interesting. Plus Extra is consistently offering great games monthly and the day one releases have been improving heavily for indie games which imo are a great choice for these kind of services. If Sony wants to charge more for their services then they need to justify it with better content and features
Was going to wait for the physical release and nab a copy for Switch but word of mouth has got me tempted so I'll be downloading it from PS Plus Extra when I get home
Granblue Fantasy Relink, Persona 3 Reload, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth makes for a busy early 2024 and with other games like Rise of the Ronin and Metaphor ReFantazio due that year as well, 2024 looks like a good year for PS5
@Bingo-Bongo Tough time for our JRPG fans, especially now Persona 3 Reload just got announced for February 2, the day after Granblue Fantasy Relink. Somehow I knew this would happen. Just need to pray Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and FF7 Rebirth are March now
FF7 Rebirth, Persona 3 Reload, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and Granblue Fantasy Relink all in early 2024. My wallet is crying. And Nintendo could add to that with Switch releases soon. And I thought early 2023 was packed
@StrawberryTurtle PS5 is selling better than PS4 in Japan but the software sales have been awful in comparison to PS4 and it leads you to wonder just how many consoles are actually staying in Japan. The physical : digital ratio can't be that big, especially in a region like Japan where physical sales are still very strong
@Luigia All their upcoming games are PS5 only, they even cancelled the PS4 version of Lost Soul Aside so safe to say from now on since stock issues are sorted that PS5 is the focus now, no more PS4 games
Still at it with Final Fantasy XVI over 70 hours later, so much side content to do and the battles are incredibly epic. Hoping I can finish in the next couple days so I can begin clearing up my Switch library over the summer while I don't have any new games releasing for 2 months
@Rob_230 I always go to ShopTo when I buy stuff from the PS Store on sale to save that money on the purchases. I've used The Game Collection a few times and they are alright but I much prefer Hit and ShopTo for getting new stuff, they've sent me things early while that's never happened with Game Collection. I'm just waiting for ShopTo and Hit to put up Star Ocean The Second Story, Persona 5 Tactica and Like A Dragon Gaiden up for pre-order (assuming that's even getting a physical over here). November is a very busy month for games that's for sure
@Rob_230 I've been checking hit.com daily and not seen it up for order. Cheers mate, I'll order this right away. Hit.com are great and I've been using them for a while, it's either them or ShopTo I go for my PS games
Like many others here I will be playing Final Fantasy XVI this weekend. Got the expensive collector's edition which looked great and having a blast playing the game. Nice to finally have some next gen exclusives that make the most of PS5
Finished playing We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie, such a bizarre game I love it and only hope Bandai Namco will make a new one in the future. Now I might play Yakuza Like A Dragon for a bit as I'm interested in finishing that before the next game comes out in early 2024. Might even turn on my Switch and play something random there. Honestly I'm just waiting for FFXVI now after playing that demo and I'm probably won't be doing much until Thursday because of it
Offer more value by improving the offerings for classic games on PS Plus Premium and perhaps offer deals from other Sony services like Crunchyroll Idk just please improve the classic game line up it's been underwhelming outside a few releases
@Matroska Fans may be divided over FF16 but if we can all agree on one thing, is that everyone hates that characters and hope they get their comeuppance
@Judal27 First Octopath was a Switch exclusive and sold 1 million in the first 21 days so I think that's why people were concerned by the sales of the game as SE were not providing sale figures. Not to mention in Japan at retail OT2 sold half of the first game
Just Final Fantasy XVI for me. Diablo doesn't appeal to me and I don't like Activision Blizzard in general. Street Fighter 6 looks great but fighting games also aren't for me. I'm a JRPG/open world/action adventure/platformer guy
The Last of Us Factions being scaled down, Fairgames is disliked by literally everyone and Concord telling us absolutely nothing about their games is not the greatest start to the live service stuff. At least Helldivers 2 is looking good
This showcase was never going to live up to the hype after nearly 2 years of waiting for a new one. If this had been a State of Play we'd have expected it to be meh, complained and moved on quickly. But calling it a showcase put the expectations higher. I'd say it was ok, not terrible but also not amazing. The biggest issue was them showing live service games that not only looked uninteresting, but something like Firewalk's game told us nothing about the project. The show did have some good stuff at least. Phantom Blade 0, Dragon's Dogma 2, Helldivers 2, Metal Gear Solid, Teardown and Spider-Man 2. First party could have been better though. How have we not seen The Last of Us Factions, or Stellar Blade which Sony is publishing and due out this year? Somewhat hoping one of those show up at Summer Game Fest. Overall an ok show, but far from what we needed. Sony needs to look back at this showcase and see what they did wrong to ensure the next one gets the reaction they would want from fans.
After hearing how Haven had a innovative project that looked interesting and got Sony to buy them before releasing a game... this is absolutely underwhelming
I'm very excited for FFXVI but feel like they didn't need to show another trailer here. We've already seen so much from it, would have preferred Rebirth but I guess that will be after XVI releases
What games have Ubisoft actually released recently? It's been a while since a new Assassin's Creed, Skull and Bones keeps getting delayed and now this is getting rebooted. I can't think of anything outside Mario and Rabbids on Switch and Just Dance 2023

I'm always there when it comes to Yakuza, one of my favourite gaming franchises. Have Gaiden all ready and installed on PS5 to hop onto shortly
