If VR2 has incredible new experiences, is able to provide us with a way to play some of VR's best games like Astro Bot Rescue Mission or Moss whether through BC or re-releases and is comfortable to use without all the motion sickness then I'm all in for it.
I really want them to announce whatever this PlayStation Spartacus rumor is so people can stop talking about it already. Assuming this is happening, the longer they keep quiet the more hype is going to build and the more disappointed people are going to be. I don't have high expectations for this but I'd like them to prove me wrong. Just once again insiders are probably running their mouth making it sound bigger news than what is actually going to be shown.
@Yamato01 I have so many themes from PS4 especially Persona related from P5R I'd love to have them on PS5 and just give the home screen some more character.
I'd give it an 8. The game is really fun to play, makes great use of the DualSense and has plenty of tasks to keep you busy. However it has the issues of being online only and microtransactions. I've never felt persuaded to purchase any myself but the fact they've lowered the amount of credits per win is scummy and both of these need to be fixed asap. This is a great return to form for the series ruined by some horrible business choices that I don't know how got approved which I hope are addressed.
1997 was really a good year for the PS1 especially with this and Final Fantasy VII. Such a shame Konami barely does anything with their IPs, I wish Sony or Nintendo could get them to do something with Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill or Castlevania.
I don't really know what to make of this because the studio hasn't released or revealed a game. Sony must have seen something they really like from them to grab them this fast. They usually wait to see how well a release does first.
I was always interested in this game but what we saw of it didn't get me too excited so I'll be waiting for a price drop which should be fast as it's a Bethesda game. At least it makes excellent use of the DualSense.
@Apfelschteiner Yep, the people who have these issues like us on sites such as Push Square or Twitter are pretty much a small minority that doesn't represent everyone. There are way more casual gamers that just don't hear about stuff like this or choose to not be bothered and buy whatever they want. It's like this when people complain about a new COD or FIFA, £70 PS5 games or Nintendo releasing a port of an older game with barely anything new for full price and they still dominate the charts.
Finally good to see it back up, while they at least had a reason for it they could have been better with communication but that seems to be a weak point for PlayStation recently. Gran Turismo is meant to be about building up the car collection over time but even I think the way they're looking at the value of cars is dumb and needs changing. It's so frustrating when you enjoy a company's games and system but they are making these poor decisions that leave a bad impression. This is a really great game that is having it's image tarnished by such things. I hope this and Ghost of Tsushima Legends counts as part of the 10 live service games Sony want to produce because this one does not give me any hope for the rest so far.
GT7 has been fantastic so far that it's a shame the experience has been ruined by the decrease in GT credits and not being able to play offline. I really hope Sony gets enough negative feedback they will do a u-turn on this because it's not a good image. Wish they would stop making good games and then screwing up with dumb stuff such as this.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I recommend trying it, one of the best use of the DualSense controller and it looks stunning too with some satisfying combat. And with co-op being added if you can find someone to play with that will make it easier.
Doesn't seem like anything too crazy but well I've never actually played GTA V and although I did purchase the game for £10 on Black Friday 2019 on the PS4 Store I still have yet to play it so maybe I'll pick this up and actually get round to seeing what I missed out in 2013 when I was too busy not owning a PlayStation or Xbox and just being a fan of Nintendo handhelds.
Atlus know how to get you excited with trailers for their games. Story is looking like it will have a lot going on, just hope it goes somewhere compared to SMT V which came out in November barely having one.
@somnambulance I felt the same after playing one hour of Elden Ring compared to the two hours I played of Forbidden West. In the first hour I was running around getting destroyed and at the same time taking in the glorious open world area while in my time with Forbidden West I didn't really feel like I did much and what I did wasn't very exciting. SOP is so goofy I love it, I'll probably get it on sale a few months down the line, same with Ghostwire Tokyo. I'm just not too sure about that one and it's a Bethesda game so it's most likely going to be about 50% off within 2-3 months.
@Kidfunkadelic83 GT7 is my first time really playing a racing game so I probably wouldn't really notice many issues. I hope you have a good time with it, I've been playing more of it than Elden Ring I need to invest time into that soon. GT7 is just nice to pop on daily, race for a bit and get the daily workout.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I'm 3 hours in and I've been enjoying it so far, haven't dug too far in but I'm loving all the cafe missions that digs into the history of cars. I got it and Elden Ring at the same time, which I need to play more because I only got an hour in and the game looks amazing. I've lost motivation to play Horizon Forbidden West because of these two games.
Having got my PS5 in January I've only finished 3 games and I still have several games I love that I haven't played as much of. But without a doubt I picked Astro's Playroom which was the best way to start off this console after admiring it from a distance for a year. Another game I picked was Lost Judgment which was an improvement in almost every aspect to the previous game and makes me hope we will see a third Judgment. Returnal, Demon's Souls, Gran Turismo 7 and Elden Ring are all games I own for the system that I love but haven't played enough to feel I can give them an accurate score otherwise they would be here.
Looking forward to a SH sequel but still can't believe it's releasing on Xbox and missing the Switch. Must be issues that put Atlus off because SMT missing the Switch makes no sense, even less sense than when people complain about P5R not being on Switch. I found it hilarious seeing Nintendo fans blame Sony for the game not being on Switch because they paid for it not to be on there.
I joined the Vita party relatively late but I love the system. It's such a lovely handheld with a small library nonetheless but plenty of great games. It had plenty of PS2 ports, I loved the Sly Cooper Trilogy and Persona 4 Golden is what made me get into the Persona series as well as an attachment for the PlayStation brand. It's such a shame a combination of competition from mobile devices and 3DS at the time, as well as Sony failing in many regards with the Vita from expensive memory cards to a lack of support. The Vita deserved to do so much better and it's a shame we're most likely never getting another handheld from Sony. I see games release on Switch all the time and think "this would have worked great on Vita or even a Vita successor". I love picking it up every now and then to jump into a visual novel, platformer, RPG or a PS1 classic.
I remember hearing nothing but backlash at Sony when they tried shutting their stores yet Nintendo despite doing the same thing and for systems that have been out less years than PS3 or PSP seems to have barely gotten any grief about it which bugs me. Sony aren't perfect as we all know but Nintendo seems to get away with plenty where as the moment Sony does something everyone is all over it. As for the PS3/Vita stores being closed soon, it is possible. I wouldn't put it past Sony to change their mind in a year or two but surely everyone who has one at this point has just about everything they need. And anyone buying a Vita in 2022 is most likely going to hack it. If they are going to do it though at least give it more notice to consumers and the developers still releasing Vita games. Four months was not a lot and not telling developers wasn't a good move as they either had to rush titles out or cancel them. I thought that was the more scummy part about it than them shutting the stores because aside from the Vita the other stores were well over 15 years old and the console was discontinued several years ago. And using the PS3 Store is a nightmare anyway.
I'd love to see Sony have more Japanese studios, they've always just had Japan Studio (now Team Asobi) and Polyphony Digital so them getting some Japanese talent would be interesting as they've never really focused on securing Japanese talent. I think a lot of it is just them having a lot of Japanese support in the past they never saw the need to bother. But it would be great for them to have one and would debunk some of the Sony hates Japan stuff you hear a lot these days.
Weird choice considering Platinum usually excels in single player experiences. I'm convinced they are a sinking ship that is trying to save themselves by jumping into live service games. I think they're the kind of developers that needs acquiring to ensure their future and I'd say Nintendo would be a suitable choice with how closely they've worked together, but Nintendo doesn't really do those so I'd half expect Microsoft to swoop in and secure a Japanese company to try get into that market. I don't see Sony trying to buy them but well... the last month has proven anything is possible.
I'm getting a LG 4K OLED Smart TV this weekend so once that comes I'll probably be playing a multitude of games trying them out and seeing how great they look on it. Demon's Souls, Astro's Playroom, Returnal, Lost Judgment, Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man are just some of the titles I'll be trying. Outside of that though I'm thinking of having a break from PS5 after almost non stop gaming for a month and going over to Switch and trying Pokemon Legends Arceus and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles while waiting for Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 to come out. Incredibly busy time for us gamers.
Honestly something new at this point, personally I think we got more than enough of TLOU and Uncharted on PS3 and PS4. Time for Naughty Dog to tackle a new IP.
I'd rather spend an extra couple quid on the PS5 version just to save having two versions come up when I pop the game in. And the fact I'm now going all physical on games for PS5. But if anybody isn't bothered about that and wants to save money go for it and knock off a couple quid.
Nice to actually see more of this game. While it does look nice I'm not 100% sure about it so think I'll wait until after release to pick it up. Doesn't help I've got Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and Strangers of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin all releasing so close together.
The last few State of Plays had been very hit and miss, with even some like September's having some great announcements but a lot of baffling choices. And for 30 minutes about GT7 I thought what could they really do with that much time but Kazunori Yamauchi proved me wrong as he had plenty to fill those 30 minutes up with, showing us just how much he loves cars and how much effort he is putting into making this the best possible experience. I don't normally play too many racing games but everything that trailer had to show got me really excited for it and I'm very much considering getting this on release. The customization, details in the racing tracks, the incredible music and the DualSense support have me hyped for this.
I was interested in this game when it was first revealed and they've barely discussed it since. I would have preferred this getting more spotlight instead of Deathloop being shown about 30 times during State of Play.

Back to Returnal with the new content that is being released next week. And now GT7 is back online maybe more of that.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?
