@DonJorginho Going to have to disagree. Absolutely the best DLC they have ever done in my opinion, and I've played them all. Also, as much as I've enjoyed Astro Bot, I cannot think of any game remotely as impactful on me this year as SotE.
Awesome! Last Revelation is right up there with TR1. Chronicles I never played, but I'm curious about it.
Also never played Angel of Darkness, for obvious reasons — I wonder if there's a chance they'll fix the bugs and such before releasing this collection...
@Pranwell Congrats on an awesome TV. As a gamer, I still prefer the LG for lower input lag (10.3 versus 16.7 at 60 Hz), and at half the cost! But yeah, pure picture-wise, you have the best OLED.
No way. Ryan had his hands all over this, as he spearheaded the whole shift to live service. I'm still convinced Sony fired him once they realized taking this route was a huge blunder.
@CWill97 Unpopular opinion, but I think you played the best ones. I think the Dark Souls titles are the weakest of all the Soulsbornekiring (!) games. Don't get me wrong, they are still great, but to me those others are better.
@chucksneed apparently you don't understand the joy of exploration and of there not being something amazing around every single corner. The map is still packed with tons of stuff! And yet it still feels like a living breathing organic world.
BG3 is probably my second favorite game of all time, just after Elden Ring. They removed the awkwardness and repetitive elements from the Divinity games and made something truly special, with deep characters and an overarching story I cared about. The turn-based combat is probably the best I have ever seen, and I dearly hope they don't change that (I can't stand real time with pause, it's way too confusing). I will admit to being concerned about them not holding on to the DnD license, but I have a feeling that, regardless, they will be giving us some excellent titles for years to come.
Best genre of game — keep them coming! There's really only a couple good clones now and again; if you avoid the mediocre and lousy ones, it's not too many.
I'm one of those who hasn't played Borderlands 3. In fact, I haven't played any of them . I don't find them appealing in any way, from the art style to the general vibe.
Played them all and beat them all, including all the DLC, but I've always said the games would be better if they were about 15% easier, and I stand by that. Also nothing wrong with offering difficulty options for people who are not as skilled or who are disabled.
I would be really excited if it were Horizon gameplay with Lego characters and sets; but I'm sure it features the usual Lego gameplay, which I'm not a fan of.
Awesome update. Unfortunately, I rarely go back to a game once I've closed it out. And my backlog is insane. So probably I will just wait for the new one, which I'm pretty excited about.
So many of these Sekiro/GoT clones now or upcoming; going to have to rely on reviews before getting hyped about most of them (Wukong does still have my attention, though!).
This sounds like DD1. It was so hyped to me as an amazing cult classic must-play, and I put in a good number of hours trying to find the fun. Eventually, I realized it just wasn't. I think all the above comments have convinced me to pass on DD2, which I was already leaning toward doing.
Not interested, tbh. Not a huge fan of parrying as a primary mechanic, the creatures are gross, and the world is apocalyptic/destroyed and depressing; as a result, it's not a setting I want to spend time in.
@CrackmanNL He may have done some good things in the past, but it's pretty obvious with the timing of everything that he was asked to leave. He pushed all these live service games and put the company in a serious hole. He oversaw the awful Bungie acquisition. There are almost no PS5 first party exclusives. He has no respect for classic games and Playstation's history (he has been quoted on this), and the PS Premium lineup has largely been a joke. He has no gaming sense, and most of us are thrilled he is gone.
I found the demo dull, but they obviously put a lot of effort into it, so I was generous and gave it a 5. If you actually fought the battles, I think it could have grabbed my attention. For background, I'm a huge Vandal Hearts and FFT fan, so it's not like I don't enjoy Tactics RPGs.

Re: Hands On: The Crew Motorfest Has Never Looked Better Thanks to the PS5 Pro
@Northern_munkey rofl... To be fair, I was aware of the irony and was waiting to see who would jump on it; thanks for living up to expectations!
Re: Hands On: The Crew Motorfest Has Never Looked Better Thanks to the PS5 Pro
Seriously, you whiners are whining about another PS5 Pro article? Give me a break. It's no wonder I rarely visit the comments anymore.
Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard (PS5) - The Best BioWare Game Since Mass Effect 3
The review reads more like a 9.
Re: Love Classic Lara Croft? Play the Crap Tomb Raider Trilogy on PS5, PS4
Underworld kind of sucked, but I would love a Legend and Anniversary remaster, as well.

Re: Star Wars Outlaws' Instant Fail Stealth Sections Will Be Reworked in Upcoming PS5 Patch
@riceNpea The Holidays to me are from Thanksgiving through New Year's.
Re: Star Wars Outlaws' Instant Fail Stealth Sections Will Be Reworked in Upcoming PS5 Patch
Hmmm... might get during the holiday sale if properly patched.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for September 2024 Announced
@DETfaninATL That's golf, not baseball.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for September 2024 Announced
Pass for me. Super Mega Baseball 4 destroys MLB the Show, so much so that I can't even play it anymore.
Re: Crash Bandicoot 5 Reportedly Cut in Favour of More Live Service Games
Wow, that really stinks.
Re: Hands On: Black Myth: Wukong Is Brilliant, But We Have PS5 Concerns
@jrt87 Okay, fair enough; I can live with medium-ish at 60 fps with dips... if I have to, I guess I could wait for the Pro.
Re: Hands On: Black Myth: Wukong Is Brilliant, But We Have PS5 Concerns
@KeanuReaves Yeah no way this runs on "low" settings at 40 fps.
Re: Random: Divisive Dark Souls 2 Is Seeing a Resurgence and Some Revisionist History

Re: Poll: Have You Pre-Ordered an Astro Bot PS5 DualSense Controller?
I was able to get a couple directly from the PS store a few hours after they went live. Was actually surprised how easy it was.
Re: Elden Ring Squashes Shadow of the Erdtree Bugs in Latest Update, Here Are the Patch Notes
Yes; I'm in NG+ and too strong, but it's epic.

Re: Poll: Is the Astro Bot PS5 Controller the Best DualSense Yet?
Now this is gorgeous! Great recovery after that ugly Concord one.
Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?
Best genre of game — keep them coming! There's really only a couple good clones now and again; if you avoid the mediocre and lousy ones, it's not too many.
Re: Special Concord PS5 Controller Looks More Appealing Than the Game
Wow that is ugly.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3's Big Patch 7 Delayed, Highlights Teased
Looks like they still didn't fix the Karlach romance glitch at Last Light Inn, which is a massive one.
Re: We Find This PS5 Wishlist Issue Irrationally Irksome
@ShogunRok Yeah I still prefer the PS4 interface.
Re: Mini Review: Darkest Dungeon 2 (PS5) - Road Trippin' Roguelike Not for the Faint of Heart
@zhoont Yeah I can't see why I would play this as opposed to replaying the original (not that I replay games).
Re: Mini Review: Darkest Dungeon 2 (PS5) - Road Trippin' Roguelike Not for the Faint of Heart
@Dominator2885 DD's narrator pretty much makes the game — he's that good.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Most Anticipated PS5 Game for the Second Half of 2024?
Tailby has it right!
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for July 2024?
I'm one of those who hasn't played Borderlands 3. In fact, I haven't played any of them . I don't find them appealing in any way, from the art style to the general vibe.
Re: First-Person Action RPG Alkahest Announced, Could Have Real Potential
@Shepherd_Tallon Yes! We NEED King's Field.

Re: Many More PS5, PS4 Games from China on the Way
@Olmaz My thoughts, as well. Good for you.
Re: Poll: Are You Hyped for Summer Game Fest 2024?
Just hoping Keighley can find the class to wear shoes, rather than his appalling sneakers. with his odd suits.

Re: Neil Druckmann Claims Comments of Next Naughty Dog Game 'Redefining' the Mainstream View of Gaming Was a Sony Misquote
@Deljo Yeah, the head of Naughty Dog clearly has nothing to do his team being successful. Lol
Re: Bombshell Report Finds Players Becoming Less Interested in Deep Strategy Games
Declining attention spans, instant gratification culture, and the dumbing down of society are the likely culprits.
Re: Atari Hires WayForward to Make Yars Rising, Out for PS5, PS4 This Year
Way to ruin a franchise, Atari! Why can't somebody just make a decent Yars' Revenge sequel?
Re: Rockstar's GTA+ Membership Putting Its Price Up
Don't care. Have had zero interest in the entire series since day one.
Re: PS Plus Premium Brings Back Classic Alone in the Dark Horror for PS5, PS4
Another awful selection.
Re: PSN Data Says Foamstars' Future Is Bleak, Just Two Months After Release
Great news. The more they fail hopefully the more they push companies to stick with single player games.
Re: A Unicorn Overlord Sequel Could Be Considered
@ShogunRok Bicorn Overlord would be more "correct", but Duocorn definitely sounds way better!
Re: A Unicorn Overlord Sequel Could Be Considered
Please make an actual tactics RPG next instead of a micromanagement sim.

Re: Celebrate Jim Ryan's Legacy with Iconic Digital Bobblehead
Celebrating the man who helmed the ship and crashed it into an iceberg feels really odd. He set PlayStation back a decade.
