I honestly can't pick a favorite from among Nightreign, Witcher 4, Intergalactic, and Okami (with Onimusha very close, as well).

Not worried about it; way too many games out there, anyway, and I will be happy to get what does release.

@Jayslow Did you complete it? Yes some borrowed elements but a much larger game and a vastly upgraded experience.

I'm not for DLC winning, but Erdtree is equivalent to a full game and blows every one of the other options out of the water.

I like to watch or listen to reviews or general opinions about gaming, like podcasts and such. I don't like to watch other people play games for me. I'm not sure if the survey/study was all-inclusive, but it sounds like it was. Maybe they should tease the different aspects out more.

It's also an issue of time. I can watch gaming related videos and podcasts in the background, but playing requires dedicated focus/time.

Even with all that being said, I think I end up playing more than I watch gaming content.

In all honesty, these themes were completely unimpressive. After trying them each for a few seconds, I went back to the PS5 one.

Please bring back King's Field...

Disappointed these aren't permanent options; don't think I'll bother. Plus, they don't seem to be showing up on the Pro.

Glad it's good, but it's not for me, as I'm not a fan of souls-style combat in 2D and also pretty much hate parrying (yeah, I'm the hardhead that platted Sekiro essentially without parrying). Too busy with SH2 and DQ3 anyway...

@Acquiescence Pretty sure most or all of these horrible decisions are squarely on Jim Ryan; he just left earlier this year, and many of us suspect he was gracefully fired. Guess we'll learn more about Hulst et al. as time goes along.

@SV22 I think there are a lot of better games, but the Horizons are solid Bs. I'm just pushing back against the idea that the franchise as a whole is not popular. I have no interest in Lego games.

@KoopaTheGamer Oh I totally agree with you. Just was disagreeing with suggestion that Horizon as a whole isn't popular.

@Nepp67 it's actually super popular, with the first game having sold pretty massive numbers at over 20M and the second something like 10M.

This game has needed a reboot for a decade. It's basically the same as what I was playing on PS3 in 2009.

@DonJorginho Going to have to disagree. Absolutely the best DLC they have ever done in my opinion, and I've played them all. Also, as much as I've enjoyed Astro Bot, I cannot think of any game remotely as impactful on me this year as SotE.

Awesome! Last Revelation is right up there with TR1. Chronicles I never played, but I'm curious about it.

Also never played Angel of Darkness, for obvious reasons — I wonder if there's a chance they'll fix the bugs and such before releasing this collection...

@Pranwell Congrats on an awesome TV. As a gamer, I still prefer the LG for lower input lag (10.3 versus 16.7 at 60 Hz), and at half the cost! But yeah, pure picture-wise, you have the best OLED.

No way. Ryan had his hands all over this, as he spearheaded the whole shift to live service. I'm still convinced Sony fired him once they realized taking this route was a huge blunder.

@CWill97 Unpopular opinion, but I think you played the best ones. I think the Dark Souls titles are the weakest of all the Soulsbornekiring (!) games. Don't get me wrong, they are still great, but to me those others are better.

I was able to get a couple directly from the PS store a few hours after they went live. Was actually surprised how easy it was.

Yes; I'm in NG+ and too strong, but it's epic.

@chucksneed apparently you don't understand the joy of exploration and of there not being something amazing around every single corner. The map is still packed with tons of stuff! And yet it still feels like a living breathing organic world.

BG3 is probably my second favorite game of all time, just after Elden Ring. They removed the awkwardness and repetitive elements from the Divinity games and made something truly special, with deep characters and an overarching story I cared about. The turn-based combat is probably the best I have ever seen, and I dearly hope they don't change that (I can't stand real time with pause, it's way too confusing). I will admit to being concerned about them not holding on to the DnD license, but I have a feeling that, regardless, they will be giving us some excellent titles for years to come.

Now this is gorgeous! Great recovery after that ugly Concord one.

Best genre of game — keep them coming! There's really only a couple good clones now and again; if you avoid the mediocre and lousy ones, it's not too many.

I'm one of those who hasn't played Borderlands 3. In fact, I haven't played any of them . I don't find them appealing in any way, from the art style to the general vibe.

Played them all and beat them all, including all the DLC, but I've always said the games would be better if they were about 15% easier, and I stand by that. Also nothing wrong with offering difficulty options for people who are not as skilled or who are disabled.

I would be really excited if it were Horizon gameplay with Lego characters and sets; but I'm sure it features the usual Lego gameplay, which I'm not a fan of.

Had no problem with it before, have no problem with it now.
