@thefourfoldroot1
It may be old tech, but the games deliver. I'm referring to Nintendo, of course. The Switch is fantastic with the options it offers and for that price. As for the money-making aspect, you're right. I guess I'm just bitter. Gaming's become too big for its own good and now the likes of Amazon and Tencent want in on it, while the likes of Sony are just looking for more profits for the shareholders so those Powerpoint slides and Excel spreadsheets show nice figures for the already rich investors. It's not like Sony isn't raking in lots of money already. No worries, I'm good with the gaming options I've got. Still, I'm not a fan of the direction gaming is heading in.
I've got a Vita and a Switch for gaming on the go. Mobile is just about money. I guess it makes sense, since Sony's been all about money for some time now. Sigh.
Tried FF7R but Final Fantasy just doesn't click with me. Got The Last of Us: Part 1 already preloaded for next Friday 🙂
I will be playing some more eFootball PES 2023, which looks good and plays like PES, but it's still very light on the content.
On XSX, I will be continuing my 4th playthrough of Sleeping Dogs in glorious 4K/60. Such an amazing game.
Happy gaming everyone!
On a positive note: the pre-load for The Last of Us: Part 1 is live 😎
On a negative note: nope. I don't like EA, don't play their games (except Mass Effect and Dead Space), don't really care. Game Pass might lose some appeal due to disappearance of Fifa, but that's just about it. Playstation won't be affected.
'Fortunately, Project Cars 3 remains available...' That game is a far cry from what PC 1 and 2 are. That said, I found Project Cars 1 fantastic and it still looks great to this day. Also, maybe it's me but I feel Dual Sense made steering a little more managable in this game. The tracks on the menu, the career mode and audio design blow GT away easily.
It's a cash grab! We've seen it all before and putting real actors instead of computer-generated ones changes nothing. I'll watch it when HBO Max drops in price /s.
Max Payne 3 on XSX. Gonna replay Sleeping Dogs after that (4th playthrough). On PS5- nothing currently, my Final Fantasy 7 Remake is put on hold until I've finished MP3.
I'm just happy Asobo didn't flinch after some middling reviews Innocence got and stuck with this IP. Very much liked Innocence and will be playing Requiem day one courtesy of GPU.
My dream come true! I will finally be able to ditch 2K12 to play as the Big 3 Celtics and I will be able to travel back in time to 2004 and win the title with the T-Wolves...And maybe even play as 93 Knicks just to try to stop my GOAT MJ from getting a threepeat. Finally!
I'm Sun On Yee, mother%%%er!! One of my all time favourites. The story beats stay with you even when you're done and the voice acting cast is one of the best in all of gaming.
On PS5: Final Fantasy 7 Remake (really liking it so far) On XSX: Max Payne (still looks and plays great) On Switch: Super Mario 3d World with my daughter. Today, however, I'll be playing a game called having a barbecue and drinking a lot of beer 😁😎
@ShogunRok
Haha, guilty as charged! Seriously, though, call me old-fashioned but I miss this kind of buzz that E3 used to bring. Geoff at least tries to bring some life to the world of gaming, where safe sequels and leaked games abound and there's nothing to look forward to in terms of surprises. Also, I like the chats with industry guys and gals that he seems to bring to the table. Few people actually care and recognise them (yes, that includes me). In short, I'm eagerly anticipating the show 😉
To me it sounds way more interesting than State of Plays that focus on one game only. Hell, it sounds more interesting than State of Plays period. I actually enjoyed Summer Game Fest.
Oh and I'd much rather listen to him than Jimbo.
Keep crying guys. There's a terrible drought everwhere right now. To Push Square: you are one more ridiculously clickbaity post away from me leaving this site for good.
Thanks PS for letting us know! I started out with Commodore 64 so I love me some retro stuff 🙂 Even though I have a PS5, I also have a PS3 and a hacked Vita for PS1/PSP/Vita games. I will definitely check out Time Extension every now and then 👍
I'm switching between Ghost of Tsushima and Returnal. Loving both and I gotta admit I was wrong about PS Plus Extra. Saving a lot of money on just these two titles.
@Shstrick
They'll be back. I got infatuated with XSX at launch and thought I wouldn't go back. Fast forward two years and I'm disillusioned with Xbox. No AAA first party games besides Forza Horizon 5 and Halo (again) and any other worthwhile exclusives have been pushed back till God knows when. Xbox Series sales are starting to reflect that as well.
I was hoping for more stability... Still waiting for themes. My PS5 could use that dynamic Ghost of Tsushima theme from PS4 now that I'm finally playing the game.
Nothing for me, but I'm glad others are finding this lineup to their liking. That's ok, though. Too busy dying in Returnal and freeing Tsushima to care.
Well, I'm keeping my PS5 for The Last of Us and Uncharted series mainly. Once their both fully available on PC there's no reason to stick around for me.
As for Returnal on PC- good. Housemarque made a gem of a game that deserves more sales. I'm having more fun dying repeatedly in Returnal than I ever thought I would. Might as well try Demon's Souls next.
@Korgon Got that right. I like me some Spider-man and Batman but this superhero stuff has got out of hand recently. Having said that, I'd be interested in a sequel to Ghost Rider or Punisher that launched on PS2/PSP (if I remember well). I doubt that Panther or Ant-man have a big enough fanbase to warrant a game.
Cyberpunk 2077. Just got Johnny's piece and wheels. 3rd playthrough and I'm still just as engrossed in the game as I was the first time I played it. When I finish I will probably start Ghost of Tsushima with the aim of finishing it before The Last of Us: Part 1 hits. Enjoy your gaming escapades guys and gals!
Looks amazing, though I will agree the giraffe scene looks a little too bright here. The rest of the improvements are really impressive and easily worth the price tag. Yes, I said it. People worked for hours to get this to look like this and they deserve to get paid. If you don't want to buy it, don't. If you can't afford it, wait for a sale. If you're concerned about 'dangerous precedents' in remakes- look around you. This gen has been anything but standard and I doubt it will ever be like that again (with lots of new and varied games coming out).
I won't be using those, but kudos to ND for thinking about people who will and might even experience this game for the first time thanks to such solutions.
The Last of Us, and this game in particular, seems to bring out the worst in some people. Haters gonna hate, I guess. My pre-order stands and I can't wait. Hopefully the title (with Part 1 added) means there will be a Part 3 (the main reason why I bought a PS5).
Do you like dags? I prefer dags to cats. On topic: no interest in any cat, bread, surgeon simulator etc. Unless they make those in VR. Now that would be something.
@F1at8mot0
Astro's Playroom is the best PS5 game, period. I remember being floored by the fantastic Dualsense implementation and Playstation legacy games references. Actually, next to The Last of Us: Part 3, the sequel to Astro's Playroom is my most anticipated Playstation game.
@Grimwood
Agreed. I tried Returnal yesterday courtesy of PS Plus Extra and I love it, even though I hate roguelikes. Fantastic graphics, soundtrack, audio design, unique atmosphere and a great use of Dualsense. I'll also probably never beat it, but I'll keep trying and probably end up buying the game just to support Housemarque.
@Ravix I loved FC5 as well. There are a few goofy missions and characters, but the tone is quite serious for FC games. Not as serious as FC2 (my personal favourite), but enough for it to cause a lot of controversy before and when it launched. The ending was probably the only week point as far as I'm concerned.
Is Push Square abuse of this topic necessary? I know it's dry season for gaming news but this is just too much. It's probably the 3rd or 4th thread about it already and you guys are doing it for the clicks at this point. You are surely aware what the community thinks about this remake already.
@__jamiie You're right! I do have better things to do than to keep replying to someone who jumped on the hate bandwagon and is unhappy that someone has the audacity to think otherwise. Also, someone who feels compelled to reply and argue with so many others guys as well, yet you're lecturing me on how I should spend my time...Welcome to the 'ignore'party pal!
@__jamiie Uh, that's a miss. My comment actually suggests I do care about the way other people keep moaning about something that is an optional purchase.
If you don't want it, don't buy it. You have no say as to what ND should or shouldn't work on. Most of you have already expressed your 'criticism' regarding this game across at least 3 or 4 articles. Deal with it already and move on.
@Ravix I expected as much. I guess I'll upgrade and see if I use it more than Netflix (which I have been paying for since 2020 and barely use it for lack of time). Thanks for the input mate 🙂
Nothing. On holiday this whole week. I did buy Blade Runner so I'll be taking a break from CP2077 to play a different cyberpunk game once I'm back home. Question guys: do we know if 1st party games on PS Plus Extra/Premium are there to stay (like on Game Pass) or are they timed as well as the others? If they are permanent additions I might upgrade to Extra.
