Well, I've already bought one of my most anticipated games for 2022, namely Blade Runner Enhanced Edition. I played the original in 1997 on PC and I'm overjoyed I can finally play it on a console. The other one is The Last of Us Part 1.
@tinCAT-zero This isn't the new rally game from Codies. This is the last game from the current WRC devs. I'm actually hopeful the WRC game from Codies will deliver in spades. As for the hybrid/electric rally cars... Meh is the best I can muster. Give me 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s rally cars all day.
No biggie. I played RDR on XSX in 4K and it looked glorious. As for GTA4 it still looks decent and I recently bought the complete edition on PS3, so I'm good.
The Last of Us Part 1 (already pre-ordered). I'll get the others in late 2023. By the others I mean GOW and A Plague Tale. Might take a look at The Witcher 3 since I've already got it.
More Cyberpunk 2077. I'm just driving around Night City looking for a fight haha. This game has really good gunplay, which helps a lot.
On PS3- started a replay of Race Driver: Grid. Burnbaby Reloaded still gets my blood pumping
@twitchtvpat Yeah, that's pretty much what I do. I buy games so I can play them at my own pace and keep them in my library (and why I dislike this type of service).
Just more Cyberpunk 2077 which has now become one of the all time best games I've ever played. I'll probably drink some beers too as it's unbearably hot right now.
@Andyhunter132 I guess you misunderstood me. I wasn't talking specifically about RDR2. It was about the idea of playing games on a timer when you have little time for gaming. And yes, to me sometimes even a few hours a week is a challenge. You don't need to agree with me and that's ok.
@Andyhunter132
Since you're asking, I will oblige. Yes, it was on Game Pass and it disappeared as quick as it's about to from PS+. I have already played through RDR2 because I own it and it took me 2 months. That was before I took a second job to be able to live a decent life. Now imagine having a family, two jobs and other stuff to do besides gaming. I appreciate the fact that some people will find this gaming model to their liking, but in my case it's just not going to happen. I subscribed to Game Pass for about a year and I was constantly wondering what to play, started games and never finished them because I lost interest or decided to play something that was about to leave GP. As a result I was frustrated and quit this service. Now I'm playing through CP2077 for the third time at a leisurely pace and having a blast, still finiding new missions, stuff I missed previously. If you enjoy this type of service and have the time to spare- go for it. Mark my words, though. Many guys on here will be burnt out on PS+ within a year or two.
SMH at the TV elitism here. I have both a 4K HDR tv and a gaming monitor. The TV will always be a better option, but don't act like gaming monitors are so much worse. Mine is an MSI 32 inch 4K HDR monitor and I use it more frequently than the tv for the simple reason that the tv is occupied by my wife and daughter. Yes, HDR is not as eye-popping as on a tv screen, but it still makes a difference. The monitor is a perfect substitute when you have a small room and need a sub 40 inch screen to fit in there.
@themuckman Same here. I got tired of the same win starting at the end of the grid formula. I'm actually having more fun playing Project Cars than this to be honest.
You forgot NBA 2K23 and EA Football Something Something (or whatever the next Fifa will be called). None of these games will be day one releases for me, but I still haven't played Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima or Horizon Forbidden West yet. So my 2023 list is already ridiculous 😁
Dropped DPA: The House of Ashes because it's rubbish. Easily the worst of the three for me. Gone back to Cyberpunk 2077 for my 3rd playthrough. This time I'll clear the map of everything. No other game has made me do it, so there's that. On PS3: more NBA 2K12 with the Celtics and might start MGS: Peace Walker. Happy gaming all!
@OrtadragoonX Agree 100%. Thinking back to some games like Sin and its main villain (Elexis Sinclaire) still makes me cringe to this day. It's great that it's mostly a thing of the past.
@OrtadragoonX Yup, some guys were saying she was made to look ugly just to appease the video game critics. Those who claim female characters in games are made unrealistically attractive to please the male gamers.
What would make it a premium product in my eyes-> a bigger battery! The one is Dual Sense is laughable in terms of longevity. As for removable triggers and stuff- I had an Elite v2 when I had an XSX and as nice as it was it developed left stick drift wihtin 6 months. Let's hope Sony make their controller more reliable in that respect. If this rumour turns out to be true, of course.
I think Tess looks much more authentic and her age. I suppose those who complain about her looks are the same ones who said Aloy isn't attractive enough in HFW. As for the moaners on here: just don't buy it! Really, you can stick to the Remastered or even the original on PS3. I for one am happy that Naughty Dog don't give a damn about your moaning now and didn't when you were hating on TLoU2. This actually gives me hope for Part 3 to be equally memorable and challenging in the plot department as Part 2.
I'm somewhere in the middle of Horizon ZD and it looks glorious on PS5. Can't imagine HFW looking better, honestly. Also, I bought GTA Trilogy Remastered in the last promo so I know what I'll be playing this summer Aside from that: On PS3- NBA 2K12 (Association mode with my faves Boston Celtics), Race Driver: Grid (best racing game ever in my book) Have a nice weekend everyone!
@Nepp67
I guess you didn't see the same weapons (save for the gravity gun), the dismemberment mechanic is still very much a focus (judging by the trailer). The monsters may as well be necromorphs. The location in the trailer looks like the Med bay on Ishimura...Ah, nevermind. As you said, you do you.
@Nepp67 The logic is that it's the same game 🙂 The entire time I was watching the trailer I was thinking: that's Dead Space. It feels more like a rip off rather than a spiritual successor to me. Fort Solis seems at least somewhat different. Same can be said about Deliver Us Mars (I'm sucker for thriller/horror games set in space). With money being tight and having to choose, I'll go for the original.
@Nepp67 You misunderstood me. It basically seems to be the same game. While I love Dead Space I don't know why I would buy this with the DS remake coming out shotly after.
It actually looks too much like Dead Space to me. I'd rather play Dead Space Remake and Fort Solis, honestly, and try The Callisto Protocol when it drops in price.
Sigh. Naughty Dog. The Last of Us. Just take my money! I don't care if it's 70 or 80$. Yes, I know I'll get crucified for this but I don't care. Their games are the only ones I buy day one.
Some of these early comments by the resident folk are so... evil 😁 On topic: she does look the part. If RE4R turns out ok I'll buy it at a deep discount. Way too many games in my backlog to buy anything day one (only exception is Naughty Dog games).
I don't care if people like and play Fartnite (pun intended), but I'm still sore about Epic just dropping Unreal Tournament altoghether. Yes, I know arena shooters are a thing of the past. I'm just irrational like that.
@4kgk2 Actually, I'm going to do the same. I don't care about the multiplayer portion of the game so I don't mind. I still play SF IV every now and then (or Mortal Kombat on PS3 as a matter of fact).
@astro911 Unforgettable experience, enjoy it mate. I remember playing it at launch, the minute it unlocked. I couldn't play and think about anything else for the week it took me to finish it (I took my time and explored as much as possible). Naughty Dog really are masters at their art.
Getting plenty of bang from my PS3! NBA 2K12 and Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection are on the menu with MGS Peace Walker and Siren: Blood Curse already installed and waiting. I put Horizon ZD on backburner as I started getting bored with it (my 2nd playthrough). I guess I really am fed up with open world games. Makes me hesitant to buy Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima. I'll probably never finish them.
Old geezer alert!! I'm with the guys who preach doom and gloom. Gaming has been steadily going downhill for a few years now. GaaS are a disease, much like lootboxes, microtransactions and NFTs. It's become a business first, artform/creativity second type of thing. The community is the most toxic it's ever been. When it was a niche hobby for nerds it was so much better.
I guess it's telling when you buy PES 2013 and NBA 2K12 and are way more excited to play them than their modern iterations.
Old geezer rant over. Carry on guys, nothing to see here. I'll be playing on my PS3 and Vita more and more as time goes by I think, while my PS5 will be gathering dust.
It's just Sony being Sony. Is anyone really surprised anymore? I went back to just buying and enjoying games as intended (having paid for Game Pass Ultimate for over a year).
Sounds good, but it will sell out in minutes and end up on eBay being sold by scalpers for twice the retail price. I'll just wait another year to see if they address the motion sickness in any way and then negotiate the purchase with my wife.
This is great news! To prepare for this I bought a PS3 and a Vita xD Seriously, though, I played Destiny 2 for a few days, at which point I realised I would have to spend months of my life to play most (not all) of the content. Never touching a GaaS again. All I'm hoping for this gen is The Last of Us 3 and Uncharted 5. Then I can retire happy and just play retro games.
I've just finished DPA: Little Hope and there's indeed little hope of a second playthrough for me. It didn't grip me the way Until Dawn did. Hell, Man of Medan was more interesting to me. I hope House of Ashes is better and that's what I'll be playing next. Apart from that: PS5: Horizon Zero Dawn 2nd playthrough Switch- nothing, gave it to my daughter PS3- just set it up, going to buy a ton of games this week Vita- Uncharted Golden Abyss
@WadeIsInsane
Seems that way. I've been to the other side of the fence and although the grass indeed is greener over there, they've got a whole bunch of nothing else really. Besides Quick Resume and Forza Horizon there's nothing I found next gen about Xbox. As for the big N, I've got a Switch but gave it to my daughter so she would leave my PS5 alone haha.

There should be an option that says: Nope, I haven't subscribed to PS Plus Extra/Premium or Nope, I'm not downloading games like a lunatic.

Don't need to delete anything as I only keep up to 3 games on my SSD at all times. As for the game, I can't wait!
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium List Games Leaving Soon, Shadow Warrior 3 Gone on 5th July
Game Pass bug 🤣 That's why I unsubscribed and won't be subscribing to PS Plus beyond essential. I hate being rushed when I play games.
