A platinum for each please… none of this one plat for the whole collection as we’re only able to use one launcher rubbish. Konami managed it with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, so I hope that I’m not giving Microsoft too much credit in assuming it’s something they’re capable of too.
@Nightcrawler71 yeah I agree that’s a rough spot for Unity, i was fortunate enough to have waited to play it, so it was in a real good state by that time… and as a result, is one of my favourites.
Oh man… not gonna lie, I got extremely excited when I saw that Adam Jensen thumbnail and the words New Deus Ex! Let’s hope that they perfect their pitch 🙏
I really enjoyed Paradise Killer even though it was nothing like my usual far. So much so that, I’m pretty much down for whatever Kaizen do from here… for the bizarreness at the very least.
I’ve fancied some handheld gaming ever since getting back into gaming in a big way and ended up getting a switch back in 2019 but hardly used it. It turned out the handheld device I wanted was a method to access my PlayStation account while not in my gaming room… and while I always wanted that method to be native, now that I’ve tried the portal I’m satisfied with streaming.
As I’ve never really been a massive fan of Nintendo ip, the portal has covered any and all bases that I personally want from handheld/portability, so I won’t be getting a switch 2. The missus got the most use out of my switch anyway, so maybe she’ll want one but she hasn’t piped up yet 😅.
I know that From Soft has always had some level of mp (well… dating back to Demon’s Souls anyway) but them of all the developers out there, chasing the multiplayer/GaaS/Live Service dollar pains me the most 😢
@FuriousMachine yeah I know it’s a forlorn hope but I can but dream I guess. At least they (Capcom) did it for Resident Evil: Village albeit behind a dlc paywall.
@Oram77 I’m sure that it doesn’t… I just tend to enjoy the third person view point in games so much more. I like loads of games with the first-person view but I always have to actively push myself to actually play them.
I think people need to understand the game selling well is a completely different thing from the games sales being good enough to actually saving the titanic-like company that is Ubisoft.
It would have to outsell GTA VI to have actually saved Ubisoft (in the state that they were prior to the subsidiary deal with Tencent), which was never gonna happen. But that in no way means that the game hasn’t sold very well all things considered.
Finally bust out the portal yesterday as I’m away with the missus and it’s pretty awesome tbh. Just so happened that I’m currently chasing down the platinum on Lords of the Fallen so the stress-test is real… and the little portable portal into my ps5 has passed with flying colours.
I watched a really good video-analysis of the trailer and it’s honestly got me as excited about this as any other upcoming game. Obviously it’ll have a boat-load of haters… but I have no doubt that Naughty Dog will deliver in spades!
@heavyartillery56 from you quick-to-anger responses about matters of little actual consequence to your real life, I take it the 56 in your username refers to you being between 5 and 6 in age rather than actually being 56 😏
@heavyartillery56 the reason for @ShogunRok’s head-in-hands Picard gif was due to the article specifically referring to sales rather than player numbers 😏
@Apollo2212 @LifeGirl I think the system-seller moniker is being used here in regards to how equitable the ps5 pro version is to the PC version running on a £2500+ rig, rather than the game itself.
@Strikke you’ve taken a part of @UltimateOtaku91’s statement there and strawman’d the hell out of it! Congrats on taking that **** to a whole nutha level 👏
I always said that the pro should be judged on the games that release after its release (games that were therefore developed with the pro in mind) and not for patched games that had released well before the pro’s conception. People love to hate though, so I got shouted down for this smh.
Yeah 3.5 mil seemed awfully low considering the first week sales. FFXVI is one of the many PS5 games unfairly tarnished with an exclusivity-stench this gen. While I understand it may have disappointed some of the FF hardcore in terms of its lurch towards action-rpg, that in no way detracts from how good an action-rpg it actually is.
It looks beautiful, the OST is off the charts, plays as well (if not better) than the best character action games out there and has spectacle so great, it has never before been witnessed. My GotY for 2023 by a country mile!
Whether it’s exclusive or not, I hope that it is still a thing. I never got to play these (it and its sequel) back in the day but wish that I did. All that I hope is that they update the gameplay (ie combat) as well as the graphics.
Been meaning to give Generation Zero a go since it was on ps+ around a year or so back but finally found time to start it last night. It got universally panned at release due to shoddy performance, which has subsequently been patched. It’s unashamedly AA but I’m liking it so far. Gunplay is a little rigid but the exploration and looting is good… and I like its chilled-out vibe.
Only played Bulletstorm for the first time last year and ended up really enjoying it. Quite excited to find out what this ends up being. If I had to pick, I’d probably go with Resistance… but I’d be interested in most of the games mentioned.
Yup I’m another who has never even heard of this. Regardless of how good a game may be, if no one knows about it, it’s very unlikely it’ll get many players.
@HonestHick it was my first proper rpg too… I really hope they don’t mess with it too much apart from the visuals. I still feel that the rpg elements in Skyrim (while great) were dumbed down a bit from its forbears.
Must’ve sunk over 400 hours into this game… can’t wait to sink a couple hundred more.
Still on Darksiders after making a start on it last weekend… I’m blown away tbh. Starts off pretty bog-standard old-school God of War but with slower combat… and then just keeps adding facets upon facets from other games series, that combines into a pretty great overall package.
I questioned the Zelda comparisons going in… and even after I’d played a couple of sessions but… the further you get the more it clicks… the game isZelda but with character-action combat and a Warcraft paint-job! Oh and they threw in a smidge of Portal too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 575
Nothing much this weekend, just a little bit of Livelock and perhaps a bit of mp on Castle Crashers depending on availability.
I will finally be starting my Resident Evil odyssey in earnest on Wednesday though with the REmake of the original. REally looking forward to it!
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Is Teasing Something, But No One Knows What
@CaptD wow, that would be a psvr2 seller that. It would probably be the kick up the bum I’d need to finally pick one up.
