I'm playing in graphics mode since I dislike inconsistent framerates and I'm right before the final boss and hadn't any problems (yet), and that despite the fact that it has been pretty hot here the last few days

@EquiinoxGII Idk, I like the side quests in this game. Some of them even tell pretty interesting stories I wouldn't want to miss

Yeah, because they only handled out review copies for the PC version instead of the absolutely broken console versions

A few more weeks won't turn a game from "unplayable" to "playable"

So either it would be playable (enough) for a physically release or it will be a buggy mess when it releases

@kyleforrester87 Yes, with Super Mario Odyssey. Luckily not a game where I care about the story but it spoiled that Mario takes over Bowser (since it showed Bowser with a moustache)

I guess it depends if you recently watched related videos to that topic or not. I often listen to Mario soundtracks so maybe that's why it got recommended.

@Sil_Am The problem is when e.g. Youtube randomly decides "Hey, you like Final Fantasy? How about we recommend you a video that shows the final boss on the thumbnail to you"

Also Infinite Wealth sounds like a cheat code from the Sims or something

They are doing the inverse Mario Kart. Mario Kart had non-numbered entries for the first 6 games (not counting MK64 since that one isn't actually the 64th MK lol) but then added numbers for the 7th and 8th entry. Yakuza/Like a Dragon does the opposite

Dumb question but why do your preview thumbnails for your FF16 articles quite often feature that woman from the Luminous Engine tech demo from years ago?

@belmont You think FF7Rs performance on SD is hit or miss? Imo it runs amazingly on SD. I locked the framerate to 30fps and set the textures and shadows to low (so basically PS4 level settings) and it runs at constant 30fps at 720p while the battery last 2.5-3h

I'm no expert but even I know that this won't work out

It's been a while but I'm actually looking forward to a Ubisoft game

When looking at the menu at 0:35 that game has a calendar and something called "follower" which could be similar to social links. That game is persona without actually being persona lol

Good decicion. While if prefer traditional turn based battle system I'd rather take a fully action battle system over that hybrid battle system of FF7R. Either commit fully to it or don't do it at all imo. Always needing to navigate menues because e.g. the AI didn't do anything on their own (or constantly switch between them) completely ruins the flow of the battle. I didn't enjoy FF7Rs battle system at all

I just hope it's actually finished when it releases (at least for the most part, some bugs are ofc to be expected)

@ShogunRok Tbf, Nintendo Directs and SoP/Playstation Showcase airing at 10/11/12pm during weekdays here in europe isn't much better imo, at least not for people who need to get up early (which propably are most people)

@theheadofabroom Interesting, for me both Spider-Man games are definitely a 8.5- 9/10 whereas HFW is the definition of "not fun" for me personally

Just look at for example Atral Chain, when that got announced it had a gameplay trailer which offered a pretty good insight about what we can expect from that game

@UltimateOtaku91 But my point was that he made the claim that he knows that there will be games at E3 running on the Switch Pro.
That obviously was complete BS, even if Nintendo at some pointed planned to make a Switch Pro they already knew it wouldn't doable long before E3 and if some developers had games taking advantage of the Switch Pros hardware in development then Nintendo also would have informed them long before E3 that the Switch Pro isn't happening.
Therefore there's no way imo there were ever any plans for a game running on Switch Pro to be shown at E3

I personally don't mind that 10$/€ more for a game if the game is worth that price increase. Problem is that for most games that isn't the case

@Soulless666 That years alone already had Fire Emblem Engage, Kirby, Metroid Prime Remastered, Bayonetta Origins and Advance Wars 1+2 before TotK, and that's only the first party stuff.

I'd assume that more copies sell on Switch, FF 1-6 seem like the type of games one would rather get on Switch than PS (assuming they have a Switch ofc) because of portability and since they aren't graphically demanding games anyway
