Seems that 'flickering textures' is some global, constant and well-known problem on any new system, and I don't think it's related to game engine. For instance, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate had been almost unplayable on PS5 for a long time (before they eventually released a patch after years of game fan's pleading) due to that same flickering textures problem, and before that, it was the issue on PS4 Pro and they released a patch for PS4 Pro.
Another game I can name is DOOM (2016) which has some (minor) flickering textures when running on PS5.
These games have different game engines, so the problem is not Unreal.

I cannot believe that they still don't have released an emulator for PS3 games. Streaming / PS+ Premium is not available in all countries, let alone the fact that streaming just sucks as a concept.

So the stupid timer is still there, okay... I will give it a try once more, but I left the original game unfinished because of it.

We'll have to wait another 3-4 years for Ubisoft to patch Assassin's Creed: Syndicate to run on the PS5 Pro without graphical glitches.

This actually looks better than Little Nightmares 3.

I am patiently waiting for SteamWorld Dig 3.

Did play this on PC a long time ago, but never finished it due to one of the bosses seemed unkillable. Great game, will definitely buy the remaster.

Of course it's your (and everyone's) decision and free will to buy this game or not, to support the developers or not. I decided not to and I feel I have the right to appeal to all people not to support that developer. You know, if this war ever comes to your house, you will no longer defend any russians, because you'll have a strong conviction that there are no 'good russians'. I hope you'll never face it, but just don't rub my nose in any rehab ads that company has created for itself.

I'm at the fourth (last?) chase scene now and I'm quite enjoying the game. Yes it is a walking simulator with a very specific message, but I think it can bear the Silent Hill label on it. The game is creepy overall and the music! The music is fantastic and immediately reminds me of the wonderful soundtracks Akira Yamaoka made in the classic games.

Regarding performance - the game runs smoother if you turn VRR for unsupported games on in the PS5 video settings, I'd say it goes 25...45 fps (in contrary to 25...30 fps with the setting off).

UPD: Finished the game. I'm glad I played it, I don't understand what people are arguing and what they were expecting, as a true Silent Hill fan who has played all the games many times I think it has that Silent Hill atmosphere, and the chase scenes are OK in the sense of picturing the "Otherworld". For a free game, it's very good. If anyone believes that every SH game in terms of gameplay needs to be like, say, SH2, then they're wrong. Try to feel the atmosphere. It's about a general setting, of course it's not a copy-paste of the previous games.

I have it on Xbox, which by the way doesn't have any graphical glitches, so this not-so-perfect PS4 port is a no-go for me.

Sonic 2 GG version is zoomed in and the resolution is lower, I guess, in comparison with the MS version. But I'll try it anyway...

Put these covers on your PS5 and it will look like an iMac G3.

Gameplay looks too fast, and too much action. There are tons of games like that already. IMHO, a Prince of Persia 2D game should look and play more like the classic PoP 1 & 2.

When the very first screenshots appeared, it looked like a PS3 game. I was hoping that things would improve, but, as we see it...

Daedalic should go back to making point-and-click games, seems that 3D is some uncharted territory for them.

Bought PSVR2 a couple of months ago. I am disappointed.
1) Wearing it with glasses is a torture. If I even find a position when the image is not that blurry, it loses that position almost immediately, when I fix the helmet using that knob at the nape.
2) I almost immediately start sweating. My face, glasses and the helmet are getting wet after playing 30 minutes or so.
3) Current game selection is pitiful, comparing to the games for PSVR1. And there are no discounts on the games I want.

Currently I play it once per two weeks, maybe. 99% of my playtime I play on TV.

Not to say that I totally regret buying it, but it should cost far less, in my opinion.

The original is a masterpiece, and it's NOT a side-scroller - the screens are static with some animated elements and rotoscoped animations for characters.

Looks good. Not many games are FPS with magic weapons.

If I recall correctly, Sonic 2 on the Game Gear was (almost) the same version as on the Master System, that is, a completely different game from the Mega Drive version.

Looks great, finally we have a non-'retro' looking 2D metroidvania game. But I, as many others, am disappointed that it's a rogue-whatever. I don't like randomized maps/world.

Subscribed to Deluxe but will downgrade to Extra eventually if the PS1 catalog is not expanded. It's just not worth it... like, I installed the three games I was interested in - Resident Evil, Abe's Odyssey and Syphon Filter. Played a bit Abe's Odyssey and deleted it as I completed it in Steam half a year ago. Two games remain. Once I complete it, that would be it.

We need instructions on how to downgrade PS+ tier properly. Say, if my Deluxe ends on 01/06/2023, how to continue with Extra from 02/06/2023? Should I switch to Extra beforehand, or should I disable auto-renewal and wait until my Deluxe just ends, and then buy Extra as if had not subscribed to PS+ at all?

My LG TV automatically switched to 'Game' mode for both PS5 and XSX. What's the point in this setting, to tell 'stupid' TVs to switch to Game mode?

I'm wondering what was the video card they were using to show this, a pretty old one I believe, or why the 20-something FPS in the video?.. Or is the game such unoptimized?

I would happily upgrade my physical copy of the first game to this for $10 (like some other games upgrades to PS5 versions are proposed).

@theMEGAniggle @dschons It used to have the same texture flickering problems on PS4Pro. I believe you played the game on a PS4Pro? Eventually they released a patch for it. They just need to "port the same patch" to PS5.
AC Syndicate have never had any issues on base PS4 except severe flickering in the main menu (already) right after the game booted - closing the game and re-running it one more time always helped for me.

Hopefully all the PS1 games are going to be internally rendered at increased resolution, not just upscaled.

Just finished New 'n' Tasty main campaign (but still playing through Alf's Escape) and I would happily replay the original game. It's just so good!

Looking at the screenshots here, I would choose the default filter. Like @MiaowMinx said, the scanlines were not that visible on CRTs unless you sit very close to the screen, therefore not many emulated games do look better with it enabled.
The 'modern' filter here is probably just a (slight) anti-aliasing, but it's too dark.
