@get2sammyb I might have to bite the bullet and order it tomorrow! I think this is the best deal for me since I absolutely love the color and design and I'm planning on buying Unchrted 4 anyway.
Part of me wants to buy that limited edition Uncharted 4 PS4 before it gets sold out as I've always loved it and it's never been cheaper... But my wallet has feelings, unfortunately.
@Gamer83 Yeah, I'll definitely check for sales on the original model within the coming weeks. The only thing that would stop me from buying one of those is my current lack of money!
I'll (hopefully) be picking this up this holiday season. I'm just praying that it'll drop to $250 this Black Friday as there are so many PS4 games I need to catch up on!
It was really cool to see this finally announced.I probably will get a Slim over this because I don't have a 4K TV or a ton of money, but I hope to at least try the Pro at some point.
@WebHead The slim at $250 (or cheaper) would get me to finally buy a PS4 this holiday season. I don't have a lot of money but man, I want to play Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn!
It's very nice to see this is confirmed now. I know the series is very controversial, but I heard these three entries were great and I never played them... plus I actually really liked Black Flag and Syndicate. III and Unity were only decent to me, though. I'll definitely be picking this up as long as it is no more than $40.
It's definitely sad to see this get delayed, but if it makes the game better, then so be it. I honestly have been meaning to go back and play Forza 6 more, plus Horizon 3 is coming out soon, so I'm actually not too bothered by this. Definitely looking forward to hearing more about the game.
I'm very surprised to see this get such a low score. I love racers, from Mario Kart, to Forza, to Need for Speed and Gran Turismo. I wasn't planning on getting this right away, but I'll have to read more into it for the future.
I think this is a really good idea. Anyone who just wants to hop on board for a cheap price can buy the system for a cheap price, and anyone who is a hardcore gamer and has the money can get the Neo. That way it won't be too much of a risk if the Nep doesn't sell well... Not that I think that was an issue at all.
I know I'll finally be buying a PS4 this holiday season due to the slim. I'm assuming it'll be $300, but it'll probably get even cheaper around Black Friday. If I could pick up a PS4 for $250 this holiday season... That would be incredible.
I prefer the original look but if it's healer more portable than I'll pick this up this holiday season as I've been saving up for a PS4 for quite some time. Hopefully there will be a Gran Turismo or Gravity Rush 2 bundle.
@booshy89 Same here. I got into Assassin's Creed late, but I really enjoyed Black Flag and Syndicate. I heard II and Brotherhood are the best in the series so as long as this is no higher than $40, I'll probably pick it up.
I'm excited to see the reveal... But probably more excited for a price drop on the original model! I'll defintely choke up and get the PS4 this holiday season as there are too many games I've been itching to play.
The port isn't awful... it's just the fact that it's a port and not a full fledged remake. From what I have seen, there are no texture updates or anything. The game was just simply upscaled to 1080p and thrown onto the new systems. I don't even think they attempted to improve the frame-rate at all; the frame-rate is uncapped and scatters from 30-40, which doesn't seem intentional. I might pick it up when it gets to $20 or cheaper... but $40? No thanks!
I loved this game when I was younger. It was one of the only games I loved to play on the PS2 for the short time my family had the system, so I'll definitely consider picking this up whenever I get a PS4.
@belmont I know, it sucks. This is the one Telltale game that interests me and it's the only one (to my knowledge) to not grace the VITA.
I got the first season of The Walking Dead with my system and while it was fun, I just never cared to finish it. I loved the concept of Telltale games, I was just done with the zombie apocalypse atmosphere.
I might pick it up on a home console, but the VITA version would have been a must buy for me.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: the fate of this game is truly sad. It's one of the most criminally under looked games of this generation due to that exclusivity deal with Microsoft. In fact, it's my personal favorite game of last year.
However, just because it's that good, that doesn't mean I think PS4 players should pick it up at full price. I don't support this exclusivity garbage aside from the obvious first and second party games, so I say if it's more than 40 bucks, wait for a price drop. But just be sure to pick it up at some point, as it's one of my favorite games in quite some time.
The Ratchet and Clank Collection on VITA for only 6 bucks!?!? I don't have enough space, but I think I'll still download it. I'll delete something to play it or finally buy a higher capacity memory card to replace my 4gb
I'm hoping the deals in the US include are VITA related... especially for it's memory cards! I've had my VITA for three full years and still have not bought a memory card to replaced the 4GB one that came bundled with my system. I really want to play the Ratchet and Clank Collection and Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered, but I know they both require a hefty amount of storage, even for the physical copy of the latter.
This is my personal favorite game of last generation and it's such a shame to see its fate. The time-exclusivity really destroyed the reputation (and sales) of what possibly is the definitive action-adventure game of this generation. I recommend everyone with a good enough PC to check this out now, and if you have a PS4, definitely pick it up this holiday season... as long as it is priced fairly.
Great to see. I'm really excited to play this game later in the year. I'm still surprised they didn't show just a small bit of this (or Gravity Rush 2) at their press conference.
Yep, this was easily my favorite game at E3 this year. My favorite list would go as followed:
1. Horizon: Zero Dawn
2. Gravity Rush 2
3. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind
4. Pokemon Sun and Moon
5. Forza Horizon 3
6. Spider-Man
7. Recore
8. God of War
The 1-year exclusively deals are a real shame for the game developers. They spend so much time making such a good game and it gets panned to the side during the holiday season. Rise of the Tomb Raider was, in my opinion, the best game of last year. It's a shame it didn't get the recognition (in terms of sales, at least) it deserved due to it not being on the most mainstream console.
Wait, people actually thought it was CG? Wow, I always assumed it was gameplay and that's why I've been so curious why people didn't talk about it more. It was easily one of the most impressive games shown off this E3.
My favorite game was Horizon Zero Dawn with Gravity Rush 2 right behind it. Spider-Man would be my number 3. Honestly, there were just so many good games shown off that I wish we could have voted for 2 or 3 games. I'd expect the results to be a lot more interesting if that were the case.
I think this game hasn't even begun development and Sony just met with Activision to talk about a remaster to please fans who were expecting to see it. Regardless, I'm very excited to see this is a real thing!
I'm really happy to see you guys talking about it! The game looks absolutely incredible! The graphics are beautiful, the combat is greatly improved, and it's nice to see a more vibrant triple A game not based around guns. This is easily my most anticipated PS4 game... with the possible exception of Horizon Zero Dawn.
I haven no idea why this (less than) 2 minute trailer wasn't apart of Sony's press conference, but damn, this game is shaping well! The visuals look beautiful and the flow of combat seems to be much faster and more enjoyable. Aside from Horizon Zero Dawn, this is my most anticipated game for the PS4.
EA's conference sucked. Bethesda's conference was alright. Microsoft's conference was good. Sony's conference was incredible. Nintendo's... will probably break this trend.
EA's conference was, for the most part, awful. Bethesda's was decent but nothing to write home about. And we're all expecting very little from Nintendo. Hopefully Microsoft and Sony redeem E3 tomorrow.
Their conference sucked. Titanfall 2 was the only redeeming quality of the show... well, that, and the comment section. Everyone critiquing EA was hilarious.
Interesting. I used to play FIFA a lot back when I was younger, but I just find it difficult to get back to playing sports games again. Perhaps this could change that? Eh, we'll see.
I think it's silly EA is releasing Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 within a week of each other. They both look like great games with their own personalities, but the fact is they are both online-heavy first person shooters. They are essentially competing with themselves. I'm probably wrong, though. Both games will probably sell insanely well because guns and stuff.
Wow, I love the look of the game. I'm not the biggest fan of Telltale (nothing against them, their games just haven't necessarily appealed to me), but I'll definitely keep my eye on this. I love Batman and I trust Telltale to build a sweet story for him.
I'm going to make a bold move and say Crash Bandicoot will make an appearance at Sony's E3. There have been far too many hints pointing at it over the past few years and the fans obviously want it.
Now, a lot of people are saying that because Activision still owns the rights to the franchise, it makes it very unlikely. However, I'd say it's the opposite. Activision has been very close with Sony ever since the release of the PS4. Call of Duty is pretty much at home with Sony's console now instead of the XBOX One.
Going off of that, I'd say Activision could be rebooting the franchise for the exclusively for the PS4. Or, perhaps, Naughty Dog will reveal that their next game will be another true Crash Bandicoot like the originals and they will buy the rights around then or shortly after. Or they it could be a dual effort between the two developers... so many possibilities.
All this speculation on my part and we're not even sure this game exists!
A lot of people speculated about the inevitability of this delay, so I'm not too surprised to see it. The new trailer looks really cool, though, even if it was a bit lacking in the gameplay department... I'm sure we'll get more than enough gameplay at E3, though.
Glad to see development for this title going so well. I mean, even the box art looks awesome!
I don't usually follow FIFA announcement trailers every year, so the huge build up to "change" is very peculiar. I'll be interested to see what is truly new about this new entry. EA is apparently using the newer Frostbite engine for the game, so maybe it will be vastly improved.
I'm really happy to see this game turn out so well. Even though I'm not fond of EA as a corporation, I have to say they have some fantastic game developers. I'll definitely be purchasing this when it gets cheaper as I always enjoy a great action/adventure game.
Seriously, this is awesome news. I've been trying to get into Final Fantasy for a while now, but the PS4 is easily the system to finally make this happen. The trailer looked great and I can't wait to finally play through one of the best installments next year!
