Re: Here's Your First Look at Need for Speed Payback

Altaria_97

So... Need for Speed is essentially the Fast and Furious of the video game realm? I mean it looks like it's focusing on action and corny "we're a family" plot-lines rather than, you know, simple street racing. Also, there are God knows how many games in the franchise at this point.

Re: Need for Speed, Star Wars Battlefront 2 Will Be at EA Play 2017

I'd be down for another Need for Speed, I just want them to design it like the older entries. It's probably nostalgia speaking here, but I absolutely loved Most Wanted and Carbon. I actually didn't play the "reboot" that came out a couple years ago so I'm not sure if that tried to bring it back or not.

Re: Talking Point: Could 2017 Be Gaming's Greatest Ever Year?

This year is pretty crazy for gaming. This is definitely one of Sony's all-time best years for the PS4 if not every system. Nintendo is looking to have a great year as well with a great lineup of Switch games for the holiday season. Microsoft... well there isn't a lot to look forward to there, sadly. I don't think there is a single XBOX One exclusive I plan on getting this year as of now. I'm pretty sure that will change after E3 or the Scorpio reveal.

And that's not even considering third party games.

It would be great to see Sunset Overdrive hit the PS4 (and Switch). It was a great game with a great sense of humor... well, I found it funny. Apparently not everyone did. But it's definitely one of my favorite XBOX One exclusive and more people should be able to try it.

Re: This Tale of PS4 Theft Is Particularly Harrowing

This is messed up. I've had two of my portable systems stolen in car robberies and I can say it's a really crappy thing to go through. But stealing from children with cancer? That's some next level lack of morality.

As everyone else is saying, hopefully Sony will replace it.

My favorite features of the original game were the different combat system from other adventure games and the varied mission structures. Since those were the only two complaints, I guess I should absolutely love this title.

Re: Review: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (PS4)

I've just started to get into indie games and I'm currently playing through Shantae and the Pirates Curse. I'm nearly done it and I have to say it's incredible. Easily one of my all-time favorite sidescrollers.

From what I have heard, it seems Half-Genie Hero isn't as good as the previous entries. I'm not saying I heard it's bad; in fact, I've heard it's quite good... just not quite as good as previous entries. I'm still very excited to pick it up when I finish Pirate's Curse, though.

From all the reviews I have seen, this game collection is essentially two incredible games that have only been moderately updated for next generation. Definitely worth picking up if you never played them or want a physical copy of them, but if you have them on any other platform, there doesn't seem to be a reason to pick this up.
