Never heard of Redfall until recently so all I can say is, I really don't care if this game is playable in Ps5/PS4. I've checked the gameplay and looks like another generic shooter to me
As someone who grew up with FF7, FF8 and FF9 onwards, I missed out on any of the SNES FF games, particularly FFVI. I finally gave this game a shot recently and I can finally understand why so many fans loved this game. The characters are so endearing and are quite unique with Locke and Celes being my favorites so far. I only knew what Kefka was like thanks to Dissidia and I got to say that he is exactly how I imagine him in this game, he's pure chaos and I love him for that. But really, each characters so far are so endearing and likeable.
The soundtrack is so good and again, Locke and Celes' themes are by far, my favorites alongside Terra's theme.
Sadly, I've never had the chance to finish the game (not yet at least) but with the pixel remasters, I'm willing to finish this because it's so good.
I love XII and Basch is a badass. That said, I was never under the impression that he was supposed to be the main character. The journey is mostly about Ashe and her quest for power to save Dalmasca. Basch is just there to protect her (much like what Steiner does for Garnet) so him being the supposed main character wouldn't make sense either.
It was excellent though I feel like there's so much that they've shown in this presentation, particularly the Eikon battles. I feel that those could have been more epic if we experience them 1st time. I know I should've just avoided this but was tempted to check this presentation and it's still going to be epic once I get there though. My only disappointment is that no demo was announced but that's just a personal gripe.
I feel like that presentation by Yoshi-P during PAX East already gave enough about FFXVI. I don't mind getting more from this SoP though. Only hoping a demo gets announced after this
I played the remake without noticing any difference in Ada's voice. I guess the VA just fits naturally for me. RE games aren't really known for having over the top voice acting in the 1st place anyway and harassing the VA is so stupid and unnecessary. Capcom hired them and they did their job. That's all there is to it. No reason to take this personally.
Persona 3 still to this day is my all time favorite game in the SMT franchise. For how good it is, the gameplay does feel outdated compared to P5 and was hoping one day, the game will get that P5 treatment. I guess now's that time. C'mon Atlus, announce the remake already.
XII's gambit system is so damn good when it comes to managing party members. Probably one of my favorite mechanics in pretty much any JRPG. I definitely would love to see something implemented in FFVII Rebirth.
I love that he slammed both parties on the first tweet and love the way how he shuts that one tweet asking for rollback. We really need more direct people like him.
I'm fine without XI and XIII. XI is an outdated MMO and you're better off playing XIV anyways. As for XIII trilogy, it can rot in hell for all I case. Worst FF game ever
Assuming that this is true, I understand if PS5 and maybe some PS4 will require remote play but give us the option to play older titles natively. No excuse to not allow us to play older games, especially PS1 titles without having to stay online/stream via remote play only. Give us the option to play games offline
Capcom should take a break from remaking RE games. As great as the previous entries were, having to release RE games every year will just feel like milking the franchise too much (like Assassin's Creed). Dino Crisis would be the better option to remake at this time since there's been a big demand for it from fans recently, especially after the Exoprimal reveal that led people to believe it's a Dino Crisis game
lmao, it's bound to happen anyways and that's all fine and dandy but the next time MS tells you that they don't believe in exclusivity and that it's all anti-consumer, know that they're just spitting lies.
As a fan of JRPGs that were mostly made by SE (no matter how niche they are), it's sad to see them in an all time low. I'm really hoping that once the current CEO steps down and gets replaced, things will get a little better.
They should drop any ideas of entering the NFT market, stop with live-services game and focus on single-player narratives and stop making any tie-in mobile games that are mostly focused on Gacha
Really a good time to bring up MGS Rising Remastered (if it does exist)
Keeping my expectations low for now. SoP is more straightforward compared to Nintendo Direct so I'm not expecting any surprises (at least, not on the same level as a Nintendo Direct)
Tried the demo on PS5, needless to say that I'm picking this up for the same system. That smooth framerate along with the 2D HD graphics just blends so well.
Can't get enough samurai games, definitely getting Rise of the Ronin and Isshin Like a Dragon. Also going to look forward to Stellar Blade. 2023 and beyond is looking jampacked with great games
Sucks that physical is limited and the price is steep. I guess I'll just get them individually as digital. I'm only interested in getting I, IV and VI anyway.
Played it on PS4, got burnt by the amount of side-quests, framerate was a bit janky, I don't know why but the controls and combat feels weird, decided to stop playing for a while until it became part of the backlog of games that I may or may not finish. Downloaded the free upgrade and will give it a shot. So far, the 60fps makes the game a whole lot better
Surprisingly reasonable prices considering how old the games are. Definitely getting these on PS5. I know they're on Switch but I already have them on both PSP and Vita for portability and I'm here for that sweet sweet 60FPS
Using magics in this game feels nice but needs time to get used to. One thing I'm not a fan of is the lead character talking a lot and even cussing, like I get that she's your typical new yorker but is it really necessary for her to cuss very often? They really need to lessen the in-game dialogues because the game gets rather annoying the more you hear her talk and it's cringe
They don't need to add the Souls formula with AC but I do wonder how they will approach the world and how open will it feel. AC games tends to be mission based and players are often limited to building mechs on the garage, selecting missions, going to arenas, etc. but there's really no open world or open areas to explore.
Regardless of what they do, as a fan of the series for years now, I'm still hyped and will look forward to this new AC game

Just had mine upgraded for $10 (better than nothing I guess). Good thing I still have my PS4 copy. Time to replay this in preparation for Spider-Man 2

I would freakin' love to see a Gravity Rush full anime adaptation. Do it Sony!

Re: Rumour: Unannounced Sony Hardware in the Works, Releasing Before PS5 Pro
With all the portable gaming devices coming out left and right since the Switch, I think now's the best time for Sony to release a PS Vita successor.
Re: Square Enix Honours Final Fantasy 7's Legacy with Set of Tacky NFT Trading Cards
Not like this Square. YOU don't do this to one of your beloved games. How the mighty has fallen.

Huh, didn't realize I needed this until now. Definitely a welcome surprise.
Re: Try Out Pretty PS2 Remake GrimGrimoire OnceMore on PS5, PS4 Right Now
Missed playing this since the PS2 era. It's such a fun and unique take to the RTS genre. Hope this game does well.
Hopefully, Muramasa will be the next to be ported on modern consoles after this

Re: Suicide Squad Requires an Internet Connection Even in Single Player
lmao, dead on arrival game then. Seriously, why are game companies ok with this?
Re: New Resident Evil 4 Trailer Confirms Demo Coming Soon, and Mercenaries
This was the only thing decent during SoP (for me at least)
Capcom doesn't really need to show more but holy crap, that was hype.
Re: Poll: Did You Love Sony's Latest State of Play Livestream?
I kept my expectations low but still disappointed
Everything in this presentation felt like an ad before the main event, which is the Suicide Squad game
Ah well, at least RE4 Remake trailer was decent
Re: Rumour: Konami to Go Big with Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, New Castlevania in Coming Months
I know Konami has been doing well with their legacy titles recently and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I just hope they won't backstab us with any form of mobile game or any type of live service with monetization included
Re: Talking Point: State of Play Predictions February 2023 - What Do You Expect?

No, no, no. MS should be the good guys and Sony must be the bad guys. The internet told me so...
Re: Poll: Did You Buy the Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Remasters?
Meanwhile, Switch port beggars are satisfied that they can now play their favorite Persona games on an outdated hybrid console
Anyway, I'm in no rush in buying this. Too many new games are coming out soon and I still have both on my Vita and PSP

Freakin' finally! Personally, I prefer the looks of the PSP versions of FFI and FFIV but this is still good.
