I'm excited for this. I've been waiting for a new entry for the Mana series and Visions is looking quite promising. Trials of Mana was such a fun action RPG and Legend of Mana is still one of my all time favorites and was happy it got HD remastered and anime adaptation.
The game doesn't really need to make a huge buzz around the internet for it to be successful enough. Considering that it's a new IP from Team Ninja, I'd say this is still great news. Congrats to the devs. Bought it earlier this month and was really having fun with it while taking a break from Nioh 2.
Great to see it finally having a PS4/PS5 version. Good game but it is such a slow burn. I bought the game on Switch back in 2019 and even now, I still haven't beaten it lol
Congrats to the Devs behind Stellar Blade and Helldivers II. They definitely deserve any success that goes their way. Also, congratulations to Rise of the Ronin, definitely one of the underdog games this year. Making it to the top 20 is still a pretty good achievement.
Not gonna lie, I really enjoyed my time with Genshin and in some way, felt attached to some of the characters and I'm definitely going to play this day 1
Jesus, what's with this negativity despite the game doing well, lmao
Just be happy for the devs that their game has been doing great for weeks now. The fact that they are going against the Japanese giant, that being Nintendo, Shift Up's first AAA game did very well for the Japanese market and that's still a good thing
@Frmknst Having a physical copy will always be better than having the game digitally. It seems people still hasn't learned a thing or two when it comes to games getting delisted by the publishers time and time again. And people cry about "video game preservations" but you couldn't even stomach the idea of owning a physical copy
I haven't played the game yet but I've seen some of the outfits and a lot of them still looks sexy and revealing enough that it would make modern Sony puke their guts out. These censorship outrages has been blown out of proportion
Make more variety of games that aren't too cinematic feeling with realistic graphics. Make other games other than just 3rd person action. We need more in the lines of JRPG, platformers, fighting games, etc. and we don't need a million $ budgeted titles that takes years to develop. Also, less live-service games. Helldivers 2 is a great success (and all for the good reason but I'm hoping this doesn't go over Sony's head)
If Sony is commited with this "richer experiences" then I hope they would consider all those options
Remains to be seen but I am cautiously optimistic now that we have two new CEO
Wishful thinking but I hope they would do something for their Japanese devs. While Japan Studio is no more (and I'm still salty about it) they need to do something for Team ASOBI outside of just Astrobot
I want to be hyped for this since we're getting another game set in historical Japan to go with GoT, Sekiro, Nioh and RotR but it's modern Ubisoft we're talking about and I want to be cautious about this.
So far, Wolverine is the only one I'm hyped for in terms of upcoming 1st party titles. Beyond that, I'm not sure but I would love to see what they're cooking (maybe Ghost of Tsushima 2)
The 3rd party support has been great to fill those gaps and quite honestly, I'm looking forward for more.
These 3rd party games has been great and I look forward for more. Sony's investment with Chinese and Korean devs has been amazing and as a result, we get variety of games.
tbh, much as I enjoy PS exclusives like Gravity Rush, GoT and Bloodborne, a lot of the 1st party exclusives that Sony releases nowadays feel very similar with each other, with their 3rd-person over the shoulder cinematics and the fact that Sony starts leaning more towards to live-service games
I'm hoping to see Sony to do more partnership with 3rd party devs
"Game is playable with barely any glitches and bugs
Great graphics
Amazing soundtrack
Unique boss battles
Amazing physics
Plenty of costumes to choose from
Appealing cast of characters
Gameplay is pretty reminiscent of the old games where you can enjoy it from start to finish
I might pick this up for my PS5 since the Switch version seems to have some problems at the moment (unless there will be a patch soon) but it may take some time for me to actually play the game.
Had this happened to me at the final battle where I chose the 2nd option which took me back to the one before it and I almost threw my controller, lol. Glad they had the wordings fixed
I'm a sucker for anything that is based on historical Japan (GoT, Sekiro, Nioh, etc.) so Rise of the Ronin is my prefered game between the 2. Wasn't all that hyped for DD2. Not saying it's a bad game by any means but I'm just not that big of a fan of medieval fantasy games (with some few exception like Final Fantasy and a couple of souls-game)
Anyway, both games are great. The west seems to be more happy with DD2 while Japan is happy with RoTR. It's a win-win situation IMO
Gotta hand it to Sony for not completely demolishing this fan project. It's understandable considering Bloodborne is still their trademark. Nintendo would have nuked this the moment it goes public
I'll give this a try. Not exactly something I'm hyped for but Stellar Blade is something I've been keeping my out eye on since the last State of play presentation
I know it won't affect your playthrough that much, can be earned just by playing and are completely optional, but I still think games at full price should NOT have any kind of MTX in it.
It's helping Sony, the same way Mario Kart is helping Nintendo. It's their own IP. Uncle Phil sure loves calling out one company but loves playing buddy-buddy with the other.
I'll only listen to his words by the time Xbox releases all of their games in all platform. Until then, his words means nothing

Re: Xbox Really Wasn't Happy with PlayStation's Call of Duty Marketing Deal
"slimy platform things"
buys an entire company that releases games on multi platform. Gets to decide which games goes multi-plat or not
Remember to never believe anything this guy says.
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Official, Out on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch
"and Nintendo Switch"
I'm sorry, what!? Another Sony IP on a Nintendo Platform
How about Gravity Rush and Ape Escape on the Switch as well, Sony?
Re: Halo 1 Remaster Being Considered for PS5, New Report Claims
Ok, I'm actually interested. ngl, I've never been a big Halo fan but maybe this is a good opportunity for me to jump into the franchise
Re: Square Enix Drops OG Octopath Traveler, Available Now on PS5, PS4
I'm sticking to my Switch copy for now.
Anyway, I'm hoping that Square would also release their Bravely games to modern platforms, especially the 1st Bravely Default on the 3DS.
Re: Don't Expect GTA 6, Judas, Beyond Good and Evil 2, or Josef Fares at Summer Game Fest
Actually, don't expect any games at all. Just a bunch of ads and celebrity cameos + Kojima just talking for 30 minutes.
Re: Octopath Traveler 1 Receives PS5, PS4 Age Ratings Ahead of SGF Show
Great to see it finally having a PS4/PS5 version. Good game but it is such a slow burn. I bought the game on Switch back in 2019 and even now, I still haven't beaten it lol
Re: PS5's Streaming Handheld PS Portal Is Proving a Huge Hit

Let's go! Vanillaware cooking another masterpiece! Definitely hoping it plays similarly to Odin Sphere and/or Muramasa
p.s.: Still waiting for that Muramasa Rebirth port to modern consoles
Re: Physical Version of Assassin's Creed Shadows Needs Online Connection for Installation
Leave it to Ubisoft to screw everything up as soon as the game gets officially revealed
Re: New PS2 Emulator Appears to Be Imminent on PS5, PS4
Give me Ape Escape 3, ICO, Wild ARMS: Alter Code F and God of War 1 & 2 already, Sony.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Dated for 15th November in First Trailer
Okay, I won't lie, that is a pretty sweet CGI trailer though we still need that gameplay trailer

Either Nier or new Drakengard game would be fine for me

Sad that we're getting all these Castlevania cross-over contents but no actual new Castlevania games on the horizon.

Re: Founders, Long-Time Employees Reportedly Say Xbox Now Effectively Microsoft Gaming
Not a huge Xbox fan but a console market being dominated by Sony would be bad as well. SEGA needs to make a come back.

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Successfully Expanded the Series to New, Younger Players, Says Square Enix
Really a great game. I don't mind it being an action game tbh. I just wish more RPG elements were blended (status ailments, buffs/debuffs, etc.)
That aside, everyone has to start somewhere so good job to Yoshi-P and his team for introducing the game for newer audience

I really need to get into this game soon. I'm not a huge Strategy RPG fan but I'd eat anything Vanillaware cook.
Also, still hoping for Muramasa to be ported on modern consoles.

Wow, reviews are already coming out. Square is really confident on this one!
Can't wait for the game to drop! Already had my vacation leave scheduled
