Re: Publishers Bail on Live-Service Flops Too Quickly, Says Warframe Boss

@Ainu20 Hit the nail on the head. 10 years ago Warframe had the space to slowly change into the game it is now (it was dire on release) and have the market to bring people slowly to it. The only reason I ever tried Warframe was because it was F2P and there were almost no other GaaS F2P games out (and I was too poor to buy a game). These days they are everywhere - so much choice that there’s never a need to revisit something old that wasn’t any good.

@rjejr On the phone app, I don’t have a browser I can use. I’ll try on the console store then and see if I can remove it, I don’t think I’ve ever looked on it!
I guess my point is consistency in access. Shouldn’t have different functionality based on the method of how to access it.

Re: GTA Online PS5, PS4 Is Never Going to Stop Getting Bigger and Better

I played online for the first time recently after a lifetime of single GTA games. For new players it’s incredibly bloated, with very little new player introductions to mode mechanics, and a lot of those mechanics are very dated compared to modern day online games. I’ve had some fun in it solo as playing with other people is just endless griefing or like the solo missions, wildly unbalanced. New updates like this would do nothing unless you’re already a vet.

But it’s undeniably GTA and that means it’s core is daft fun, I am very hyped for what a brand new and updated modern online mode in GTA6 will bring.

@BamBamBaklava89 Agreed, nobody is completing that grind to get Agent Smith for free.

I enjoy the game, but it’s very basic (no end of game stats?) and the whole thing seems designed to get you to grind or pay. Would be much more enjoyable to have some custom mode selections and all the fighters and just have it as a normal priced game.

I have bought it twice. Once on release for PS3 10 years ago, and then once for PS5 on the cheap last year. Thought enough time had passed to do another play through! Admittedly only got in 10 hours or so before I moved on, it’s feels quite dated to me, but it is one hell of a game and just mad how it’s spanned 3 generations.
