Hey, just wanted to know the official source you guys got the $9.99 info from, as I can't seem to find it anywhere. Tried Capcom's website, the PS and Steam stores and so on.
I only want to make sure the price is accurate. If so, that's a pretty reasonable amount for what will probably be a rather short campaign.
Eh, truth be told I'm more interested in third party games at this point anyway. When it comes to PS Studios the only thing that'd get me really excited would be a second Tsushima game.
Hopefully some news on Stellar Blade at long last? Maybe Rise of the Ronin while we're at it. I'll keep my expectations low, at any rate.
I'll probably buy it at some point in the near future (very interested), just too many games already on my plate to justify a full price purchase right now.
I redeemed them for what it's worth, but I don't think I'll ever play them. Generation Zero is the likeliest for me to pick up I guess, but it's like comparing a 1% chance to a 0.1%.
I'm rolling credits for the first time as I read the article and write this, coincidentally enough. This has been a very enjoyable little game so far, so I'll be there when that DLC drops.
Different consoles and different companies behind them is preferable to avoid a monopoly, which ends up hurting everyone other than a handful of executives and shareholders.
The death of exclusives is what would really benefit both players and devs.
There will probably be an update on Shadow of the Erdtree, I imagine. As for PS-specific stuff, I'd like to see Stellar Blade once and for all, but that's a long shot.
I don't really care to be honest, I typically have my phone close at hand while I'm on my PS5 anyway. And PS Stars is something I only use about twice a month (if that), just to get some points for opening a game or two.
For $50 (and I assume 50€ in my case) that's gonna be a pass. Make it 20€ in the future and I'll bite, as I do want to play RDR1 at some point - but I'm not paying nearly full price for a straight port of a 13-year-old game.
I don't get why people can't just naturally realize that, like any other developer, From Software can and does make different types of games.
Did anyone back in the day need a PSA that Naughty Dog's Uncharted wasn't a 3D platforming collectathon like Crash or Jak & Daxter? Let alone a thousand PSAs?
Wait, they're showing FFXVI in China? Wasn't that version of the game cancelled in the first place because Square refused to censor what they wanted them to (probably Dion being gay)?
Something changed there, and if it was Square that gave in, then oh boy, expect some controversy.
My favorite colors are red and black, so that controller actually looks pretty good to me. If I ever need a replacement I might try to get one of those.
@dskatter Actually had no idea the game had been rather heavily censored for the Noah release, so I appreciate the heads-up and will install the patch. Thankfully I'm super early into the game (basically the parts where Takumi's with Yua) so I won't have missed out on much.
Last year ended with the tragic news of this developer declaring insolvency, so I'll definitely be supporting this game at launch instead of waiting for a sale. The people who made Steins;Gate deserve to keep making what they like for a long, long time.
On a tangential note I'm actually playing Chaos;Head on Steam right now, with the intention of buying Chaos;Child on PS later if I liked the first game. Gotta catch up on the dev's other stuff.
The voice acting reminded me of Commodore Perry's episodes in Gag Manga Biyori, with the same kind of super stereotypical exaggerated accent and all. Not that anyone will know what I'm talking about.
I find it a little weird that the narrative is so coy about something as important as the missing Dominant of Water and the missing Eikon (called 'Leviathan the Lost' exactly once in a throwaway line), and yet apparently no additional storyline was planned for that. I mean, if they didn't plan to go into that topic at length, at least a couple lore entries would have been nice.
Similarly, it's weird that in the entirety of Valisthea there wasn't even a single NPC belonging to Jill's northern tribe. Not even a minor sidequest to kind of address that part of the setting - nothing.
And to be clear these things are weird because of how detailed everything else about the game's lore is and how obvious it is that the devs cared about that aspect, especially with stuff like the chronological history map. If the game felt slapdash narratively I wouldn't even point these out.
Yong has a good voice. Whether it's a good voice for a hard-boiled badass like Kiryu is a different matter. The nasal aspect of it alone kind of already clashes with Kiryu's whole image.
I don't play these games without their original audio and I don't intend to ever start, though, so it doesn't affect me either way. Hopefully more people will warm up to his performance when they hear it in full I guess.

Re: Apple Insinuates iPhone 15 Pro Will Be a Better Games Console Than PS5, PS4
"I think they say the best game console is the one you have with you."
I have never heard a single person say these words.
Re: Marvel's Avengers Is Dirt Cheap Ahead of Getting Thanos Snapped Later This Month
"This puts it at £4.49, or $3.99 across the pond. That's a pretty crazy bargain, and probably one you'll want to take advantage of."
Anything short of being paid to play it doesn't sound like a bargain.
Re: Unity Promises Changes to Controversial New Policy After Causing 'Confusion and Angst'
I think the only people in a state of "confusion" were the ones who greenlit this policy. Probably drug-induced.

Re: Rumour: Six PS Plus Extra Games Leaked Ahead of September Announcement
Sweeeeet. I'll play 13 Sentinels for certain, I've had my eye on it for a while.

I'll probably buy it at some point in the near future (very interested), just too many games already on my plate to justify a full price purchase right now.

Wow, I didn't know they made it even more expensive for us in Europe. My interest was at zero but now it's in the negatives.
Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony
Takes some balls to say "it's to keep bringing high quality games" right after announcing Saints Row, but okay.
Re: Free-to-Play Fall Guys, Fortnite Competitor, Stumble Guys, Announced for PS5, PS4
I'm waiting for Crash & Burn Guys.

Great game, one of my favorite puzzlers.
Re: Round Up: Baldur's Gate 3 Reviews Rate It as One of the Best RPGs Ever Made
With 30+ reviews, that 97% is looking a lot more solid than it previously did. Way to go, dev team.
I might end up playing this at some point after all, never found the opportunity to try out CRPGs and this sounds like the perfect introduction.
Re: PS Store Reloads with Almost 2,000 PS5, PS4 Deals
Chaos;Child back on sale just in time, I finished Chaos;Head like a couple days ago. Already bought that, looking forward to it.
There's a few more things for cheap that I'm eyeing, but these discounts last until the end of the month, so no need to rush.

Re: Lollipop Chainsaw's Remake Pops Off in 2024
Never got to play this one, kind of curious about it.
Re: 17 New PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Revealed for Huge Update Next Week
I'll play Sea of Stars for sure.
Midnight Fight Express looks fun, I was always kinda curious about that game. Might also try out some other stuff on the list, like Source of Madness.
Lost Judgment is awesome but I already 100%'d it. Great new catalogue title for people working through the series, though.
Re: Street Fighter 6 Under Fire for Ridiculous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC Pricing
I'd much rather buy four pet turtles and tons of pizza with that amount of money.
Re: $50 for Red Dead Redemption PS4 Port 'Commercially Accurate', Says Publisher Take-Two
"That's just the price we assume a big number of people will be dumb enough to pay."
There, euphemisms out. As the article suggests, he's probably not wrong either. I'd absolutely love him to be, though.

Please do not promote blatant AI-generated garbage, thanks. Takes a single look at that artstyle to tell.

Yeah, I'll probably play Death's Door as soon as it becomes available.

This is the first time I've read an article about Square being satisfied with a game's performance. Wow.
Re: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Plunders New PS4 DLC Over Three Years After Release
One of the characters is Yamato, 100%.
Re: LISA: Definitive Edition Removes and Changes Content to Release on PS5, PS4
LISA Not-So-Definitive Edition, only on PlayStation.
I already completed this (really cool) game on Steam years ago so I don't care personally, but this is pathetic.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2023?
I guess. I might try Samurai Warriors 5, it's when a while since I played a Musou.

CD-i? Nostalgia? Memes? It's yours Arzette, as long as you have enough rubees.

Good for attendees and such. But as someone who's only interested in announcements, I expect it to be as 'small' as ever in that regard.

He should just show up with that for every presentation from now on and say it's Emil's new look.
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Games of 2023 So Far?
FF16, RE4, LaD Ishin.
Re: Like a Dragon Fandom Divided After Hearing Kiryu's New English Voice

Looking forward to this since I first saw it, Q1 2024 would be great.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Final Fantasy 16?
Four fifths into the story or so, a solid 9 so far. Could have even been a 10 if area exploration/loot and sidequests were better.
