Re: The Rogue Prince of Persia Is Real on PC, Coming to 'Other Platforms' Later

JeongersGaming

@jFug @Llamageddon If you guys really couldn't tell that was obviously taking the p*ss out of people complaining about everything being woke (including the other PoP game that came out a few months ago) there's no hope I'm afraid. Like come on, the dude is purple. You thought that was a serious complaint about race swapping?

Anyway, for a serious comment. The game looks alright. Dead Cells devs is a good sign. Not interested in early access, but it'll be at least 1.0 when it drops for consoles so it's no bother for me.

Re: Poll: How Much Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?

JeongersGaming

Console players suddenly becoming frame rate elitist this gen is so corny. Yeah it's great we have so many 60fps games now, and even a selection of them targeting 120fps, but refusing to play a game because it runs at 30fps is silly. If the game is good and it pushes the hardware to where it can't be 60, so be it. A high framerate doesn't equate to a quality game. It can make a good game feel better, but there's a lot of crap out there that runs at 60fps too.

Re: A Unicorn Overlord Sequel Could Be Considered

JeongersGaming

I like that Vanillaware typically does a brand new thing each time, barring ports and remakes. If a sequel wouldn't significantly take away from development of another game then I'd be okay with it. The nature of how they make their games means they take a long time to make, but if they can repurpose a lot of the established work done in Unicorn Overlord then it could make for a good side project to bide the time until the next new game.

Re: Dragon Ball Manga Icon Akira Toriyama Passes Aged 68

End of an era in so many ways.

Dragon Quest XII in particular is likely going to be the last of its kind. Not that they won't make any more, but the series has lost 2 of the 3 people that shaped it's identity throughout the years, and will be the last time either of them contributed.

Re: Crash Team Rumble Support Winding Down with Final Update Next Week

JeongersGaming

@nomither6 I would like to see another Crash Bash type game admittedly, but I think the original leaves a lot to be desired and is held up by nostalgia a bit. It's a good concept that could be built on.

Either way I'm happy they're keeping this game alive even if support is being cut. Too common for live service games to just shut down and become impossible to play. Just a shame they made a brawler Crash game and it stopped before they could add Crunch or Tiny (he MAY be in this last update). The original male N. Tropy isn't even in there.

For what it is, I think Rumble is decent. Lacking in content at launch and victim of the Battle Pass FOMO grind, but those issues are largely resolved now. Extra modes and characters (including Spyro crossovers), and you can freely unlock everything from all the passes.

With TfB going indie, it makes you wonder what the future is for Crash and Spyro now. Beenox is the only studio left at Activision that handled these franchises now.

Re: Random: Our Twitter Timeline Is All Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5 Right Now

JeongersGaming

@TwoDents Makes sense. Tifa and Aerith are wearing a type of swimsuit popular in Japan, the game is developed in Japan, 1+1=2 and all that. This whole Sweet Baby kerfuffle doesn't really come into it. So the woke mob company is okay with the scene making a point to remind you that Tifa has a massive pair on her chest, but insist that the bikinis have some frilly bits on them? lol

Re: Xbox Is Bringing Four Exclusives to PS5, But It Won't Say Which

JeongersGaming

@UltimateOtaku91 This quote says everything

"We want to make sure that the return makes sense. We want to make sure the audience that’s there has an appetite, maybe they don’t"

If the PS and Switch audiences show Microsoft they are hungry, there will be more. If the sales aren't strong, this will remain an odd experiment.

Re: SEGA Issues Financial Warning After 'Sluggish' Sales Over Holiday Period

JeongersGaming

@Nem Thing is though, Superstars seems to be doing better than Mania was sales wise. Sega announced Mania sold 1 million copies after a year, whereas the sales report mentions LaD Gaiden, Sonic Superstars and P5 Tactica sold a combined 3.6 million last quarter, meaning it's likely sold at least a million already.

It appears to be a sales letdown for Sega because they expected it to sell 3 million like Frontiers did.

Re: Persona 3 Reload Is Atlus' Fastest Selling Game Ever

JeongersGaming

Pretty easy achievement to be fair, it's one of their first games to release for multiple platforms day one and a simultaneous worldwide launch. The only two games to precede it would be the more contentious releases of Soul Hackers 2 and P5 Tactica.

Still a great achievement though.
