I'm still firmly in the "No Kojima, No MGS" camp. Happy to be proven wrong, but that man is an almost unique talent. In a world of cookie-cutter, paint by numbers games, he is one of the few that still puts out art. I have this strange feeling in my bones that this'll be a 7/10 game.

I just want to play the games of my childhood. I couldn't care less about most of what they are complaining about tbh.

Anyway... nothing is too big to fail. It just takes longer, that's all. If GTA 6 lasts as long as GTA 5 did then there is plenty of time for the mood to sour if Rockstar starts getting seriously scummy.

It is very simple: a dev should be allowed to make the game that he chooses. Don't like that? Don't play it. No one is forcing you to.

A lot of these people demanding an easy mode reek of extreme entitlement if you ask me.

This game was rubbish tbh. Pretty much the only reason it was popular was because of its softcore porn moments.

The original Doom has style. Super Mario Brothers has style. Sonic 2 has style. Final Fantasy x has style. They have aged like fine wine despite their primitive looks because they are still wonderful to look at. A lot of games today are shamefully unimaginative when it comes to their art style.

I don't think most people actually care if a game has two blades of grass per cubic cm and a texture less than what came before. Minecraft should also be remembered here too.

Timesplitters 1 just hasn't aged very well, sorry. I can't imagine modern gamers getting much out of it.

Timesplitters 2 and 3 though. Wow. Two of the best games I have ever played. I am praying for trophies.

Many games look absolutely fantastic but turn out to be absolute lemons. If problems have been noticed then I have no doubt that problems have been noticed. And this goes double for Ubisoft of which I have no faith whatsoever.

These two grown men need to grow up.

Still looks soulless to me. The missing element is Kojima and always will be.

I watched a Let's Play of the GTA ''Definitive Edition'' by English Ben recently and I see no evidence that anything has been fixed at all tbh.
Still broken, still buggy, still shamefully ugly in places. And the laughable thing about all this is that a true HD remaster would have been a licence to print money as both Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us proved.

Kind of funny really. Sony was petrified about losing Call of Duty in the Activision buy out. And yet not only have they kept it, but seemingly gained XBox's entire exclusive catalogue not long after.

I'm not letting Rocksteady off that easy. I've read plenty of other articles that point out that this was essentially a whole new creative team compared to the Arkham games who were fully behind most of the more controversial changes.

This is all just passing the buck onto that enemy that we all like to unconditionally hate: the evil corporate executive.

Films, TV shows and games are primarily sold through word of mouth. Someone you trust tells you it's good, you go and try it out. Someone you trust tells you it's bad, you don't. It really is as simple as that.

Shenmue is one of the most overrated games of all time and that is not even an opinion: the hype to sales figures ratio says it all.

The creator suffers from shocking levels of hubris too. Nearly two decades it took to release Shenmue 3 and what does he do? Ends the game on a cliffhanger.

@CVCubbington If it wasn't for cough I'm of the opinion that this would have been a pretty forgettable game in the grand scheme of things. I have seen very little reason to pick it up again since.

The Japanese game companies - and in particular Square and Capcom - prove that the game industry is doing just fine.

The problem with the American game companies is the exact same problem that Hollywood has right now: ridiculously bloated budgets to the point that EVEN IF they become blockbusters they still lose money.

You cannot dethrone Fortnite. Do not even try. It is one of the industry's all time greatest success stories. 230 million active users per month.

Bring something radically new or make it free - because otherwise you've given people NO REASON to try it let alone stay.

@UltimateOtaku91 The XBOX One being a disaster is an unfair reputation tbh. It's launch was a disaster, but Microsoft to their credit rolled back the most controversial changes almost immediately which placated a lot of people. And when combined with backwards compatibility to the XBOX 360 (easily the most popular XBOX to date) and the fact that the paid for XBOX Live was just frankly superior to the free PSN that was getting hacked every week, the XBOX One gained back a lot of support as time went on.

The XBOX is on terminal life support. Soon there will be only PlayStation and Nintendo when it comes to a dedicated box that you play your games on. I will go as far as to say that we are approaching the final true console generation.

Ask yourself this: what really is in it for Microsoft at this point when they can stop wasting millions trying to push another game box when they can just focus on PC and mobile gaming?

In my opinion, strategy games are not dead, they've evolved. Have you ever watched two Fortnite masters go at it? The way they flank, build walls, choose when and where to attack. That sounds like "strategy" to me. It just isn't your granddad's strategy game.

I think that the PushSquare score is exactly where it should be. This is an old clunker of a game that is heavily dependent upon nostalgia doing the heavy lifting. I very much doubt that an Alpha or a Zoomer will find anything but frustration here.

I'll give them this much: they know what their whales want.

I will upgrade for GTA 6. Other than that, sorry, I have genuinely seen no reason to. We are five years into this console generation and most of its exclusives STILL look like high-end PS4 games. You cannot say that about any of the previous generations of PlayStation.

The PS5 is Sony's worst console to date in terms of its value and I will die on this hill.

I think this game could have been fantastic with a man like Hideo Kojima at the helm.

A lot of people are complaining about this month on PSN but G-Police makes it worth it for me - especially if there are indeed going to be quicksaves.

G-Police is absolutely hardcore in terms of its difficulty spike. If you like tough games, you will like this. It is however also one of THOSE kinds of 90s games where you will be grappling with the controls and the draw distance throughout.

I'm not sure that too many kids got through it without the level select cheat back in the day.
