Another game delay incoming….

Great to hear that Stray is launching day 1 on PS+ extra! This is the only tier I’m interested in so I can try out games like Returnal, so Stray is a huge bonus.

It’s pretty good. Playing it through GP, not sure I would have paid for it.

I don’t wanna push my luck, but would also love it if Ubisoft did 60fps patches for GR wildlands, and FC5/New Dawn. C’mon Ubi, what say you?

@Otherbarry I wouldn’t say a 60fps patch for Wildlands is completely out of the question. Theres been 2 Assassins Creed games since Origins (Odyssey & Valhalla), and since GR Wildlands there’s only been one GR game (Breakpoint). I’d love for it to happen.

Wow, this is certainly a departure (no pun intended!) from the usual dlc. I have the base game so may have to check this out.

Quick question about axis invasion - when enabled does it tell you that your game has been invaded?

I bought the PS5 upgrade for Ghost of Tsushima, but because it’s been so long since I finished the game (on PS4) I decided to just start a new game to get used to the controls again. I also have to finish act 1 before I can go to the new island, which I’m looking forward to.
Also playing Sniper Elite 5 and Ruined King on XSX. This week I also bought Ghostwire Tokyo in the days of play sale, but am not going to start it until I’ve finished something else first.

Wow, Ghostwire Tokyo is even cheaper now than it was in a sale just a few weeks ago. Think I may bite this time.

I have GamePass, but I bought AC Odyssey on PS4, so not sure what console I’ll be playing it on once the patch drops!

When do the new PS+ tiers start in the UK? My regular PS+ sub is due to renew next week (30 May) and I may not renew it so I can try out one of the new higher tiers.

This is gonna sound strange but the BTs were probably my least favourite part of the game! I know they are integral to the story but I just tried to avoid them when I could 😂 the best part of the game for me was navigating the environment, with all its mountains, rocks, rivers etc. Hopefully the sequel will add a day/night cycle.

I’m pretty sure all devs target high scores 🙄 and breaking news…high scores potentially boost sales!! No s*** Sherlock!

More walking around a desolate environment?…YES PLEASE!! I never got that far on my first play through, but once the directors cut landed on PS5 I started again and loved it. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but once it clicks it clicks!

Great news! Now do a 60fps patch for Ghost Recon Wildlands and I’ll be over the moon!

1) its not really old at all. Too recent in fact for an upgrade already. We’ve had the 60fps patch, surely that’s enough? The game already looks great.
2) People at the studio looking for something to do? How about a new IP?!?! Instead of this endless cycle of remasters and remakes 🙄

Looks like they are punching well above their weight, and the results are stunning. Let’s hope the gameplay is as good as the visuals.

@Mgene15 a bit early to say GOTY but I’ve only done something like 16-17 hrs, whereas I hear loads of people saying they’ve done over 100 hours 😱

@TheArt I agree. It’s a weird game (for me at least) in that there are no quests, missions etc, but as you rightly say the sense of exploration is wonderful. You really want to seek out every nook and cranny, wondering what lies around the next corner.

Mostly Elden Ring. I only bought it a few weeks ago (initially put off by the high difficulty) but I’m enjoying it! Not only that, but since posting here last weekend, I’ve killed 3 bosses! Needless to say I’m quite chuffed. My first success was that ghostly figure in the boat (I just kept circling him on my horse!), then the creature that gives you Bloodhound’s fang. But this morning I went back to face Margit the fell…and beat him! Full disclosure though, I did summon both a cooperator AND used Spirit ashes (Jellyfish) but I don’t care….I need all the help I can get 😂 Now, onto Stormveil Castle…

I wouldn’t mind getting back into this but the game won’t let you start a new game without having to create a new account 🙄

After avoiding it since launch cos of the high difficulty, I finally caved and bought Elden Ring. Apparently you can explore quite a lot of the map without even facing a boss, though obviously you won’t finish it if you do this! The fact that it’s open world also persuaded me to buy it, as if I get stuck on a boss I can just go off somewhere else and try and level up. It’s still very early days - I’ve only just got the horse - but I’m enjoying it so far.
I’m also playing Gran Turismo 7 - I’m on the final menu! And on Switch I’m playing The last friend. I only have about half a dozen quests left on Horizon Forbidden West, but I’m starting to feel burnt out on the game, so don’t know if I’ll actually finish it 😟

Why can’t they include a single player mode as well? Sea of thieves already has multiplayer pirates covered. As others have said, we need another Black flag, with modern graphics.

Apart from using unrealistic figures, why don’t they...er, I don’t know...let us use our own common sense. It’s obvious that something in standby mode will use a little power, as opposed to being completely turned off. We pay the bills, so we can decide for ourselves what to leave on standby.

I wonder if it will include the porpoising? 😉

It would be interesting to know why they took back control from Saber Interactive.

Wow...that’s quite a selection considering we’re only in April! I voted for Horizon Forbidden West (PS5). I’m about 60 hours in and still not finished. Loving it.

I haven’t even seen the first film yet.

@KundaliniRising333 I’ve just booted the game up and the “shimmering” issue (though I consider it more of an aliasing issue) does indeed seem to be fixed. I’ve only played for about half an hour since the patch dropped, and have largely stayed in one area, so it may not be completely eradicated. So far though the signs are good.

Too many other games to play right now, not to mention being pretty burnt out on Borderlands in general. Probably pick it up in a sale at some point.

Horizon forbidden west. Over 40 hours in and still half the map is fogged out! Just taking my sweet time, mixing it up between main missions and side quests, jobs, errands etc. Also playing the wonderful Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and some Gran Turismo 7.

Hot on the heels of the Tower of Sisyphus mode, now would be a good time for Returnal on PS+

Not surprising considering 1) most movie adaptations of games are ****, and 2) Tom Holland is riding high from the success of the Spiderman films

I thoroughly enjoyed this on Xbox GP. At launch the game had some nasty difficulty spikes but they’ve been addressed now (they’ve since added a difficulty option). Considering the size of the dev team (only 12 people I think) the game looks great with its cyberpunk aesthetics and loads of detailed environments. Recommended if you haven’t played it yet.

Not gonna lie - the difficulty has put me off getting this. I’m hoping it will eventually come to PS+

@get2sammyb yeah it is good. I’ve never played a Kirby game before (!) but that demo sold it for me.

It was either this or Kirby and the forgotten land this Friday for me...looks like it’s Kirby.

Everywhere I read it says the UK PS5 version (story mode) is £8.75, but I was charged £9 🤔 yes I know it’s only 25p but was just curious

So where’s the compensation for 24+ hours of downtime? He makes no mention of this whatsoever. Surely players deserve something for putting up with this debacle.

I’m ashamed to say I still haven’t played the first game yet, despite owning both the game and a PSVR! Unfortunately my PSVR is now in the loft so am unlikely to play it any time soon 🙁
