The way I see it, it’s been 10 years since GTAV so another 18-24 months ain’t a big deal. It will probably be those last few weeks/months before release that will be the most excruciating.

“Ultimate” edition which still doesn’t include NG+

After playing the trial I ended up buying it over the weekend as it’s currently reduced. I’ve heard it can become a bit of a grind after a while, but so far (around 3-4 hours played) I’m enjoying it. They should have released it for about £50, charging £70 for a new IP was never a good idea.

I bought BG3 last weekend, FOMO playing a big part. Have to admit that I’m struggling to get on with it. It’s still early days, so hopefully it will click with me at some point. Have downloaded the Immortals of Aveum trial so will give that a go. Still playing Super Mario Wonder.
UPDATE: Well, the IOV trial worked…have now purchased the full game. Went for the deluxe version @£35.99, only £1 dearer than the standard version.

Ideal scenario would be a cheap upgrade path for existing users, say £/$10 max, and simultaneously release TLOU Part 1 on PS+ extra.

Downloading the trial now. If I like it I’ll probably buy it, especially at £35

@Throb 100% agree. The first thing I did was go into the options to invert Y…only to find there is no option 🙁 have to shelve the game now until they patch it in.

I hadn’t even heard of this game until today. Then I find out not only is it coming tomorrow, but it’s a “free” game on PS+ extra! Happy days 🙂

I’ve been playing this on & off since launch, but especially the last few months with the 2.0 update & Phantom Liberty. Great game, and love the futuristic world they created. All we need now is NG+

I finally pulled the trigger on BG3, which I downloaded overnight. Looking forward to playing this highly acclaimed game, especially as I also have a week off work now 🙂

I think I may finally pull the trigger on BG3. I’ve just finished Cyberpunk Phantom liberty, and close to finishing Spider-Man 2, so want a new game to play.

I blood well hope not! Don’t want it to be held back (technically) because of a last-gen release. Let’s face it, GTA 6 won’t release until next autumn/fall at the earliest, by which time the PS4 will be 11 years old!

This actually looks pretty good. I wouldn’t go so far as saying I’m excited for it, but it’s definitely on my radar 🙂

I’m hoping for Christmas we get The Last of us part 1. It’s been out over a year now.

Glad they haven’t just let the game die a slow death. Will probably check out the free trial.

I had an issue a few days ago where I got stuck in the scenery and couldn’t swing/jump/walk out of it so had to reload my last checkpoint 🙄 I imagine it’s been sorted now

Another 10/10 game?!? What a year it’s been for games. I guess I’ll add this to my backlog, along with BG3.

I wish they would add the option to mark weapons as favourites, like in Borderlands.

A game with almost instant fast travel, also being the same game you probably won’t want to use it because swinging/gliding is so much fun. The irony 😂

Sony would do well in future to give more notice when titles are leaving the service. Pulling titles with little to no notice is very bad PR on Sony’s part.

I couldn’t decide between Spiderman 2 and Mario Wonder…so I’ve ordered both 😂

I played this solidly for the first few months and finished the campaign, but bounced off the season mode stuff pretty quickly. With so many other games to play right now though - including Spiderman 2 next week! - I can’t see myself returning to Diablo 4 anytime soon.

Good game, but they need to add some new playlists soon. I only have a few left to do, and apart from the occasional grand race the playlists are my go-to activity in this game.

I’m really looking forward to playing BG3, but have too many other games to play right now and I know that BG3 is gonna be a pretty big time sink.

I know a lot of people will like Mirage for taking AC “back to its roots”, but personally I’ve loved the huge open worlds and RPG-heavy titles of Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla. I’ll still play Mirage at some point, but am not in a rush to do so.

@Mintie I’ve still yet to play BG3 too. Just don’t have time. I would get it for Christmas but alas there’s no physical version 🙄

Usually this would be a day 1 purchase for me, but I’m currently knee deep in Cyberpunk 2077 and what with Spider-Man 2 just a few weeks away I’m afraid AC Mirage will have to wait. Modern day problems 😂

I definitely want to get this but doubt it will be a day 1 purchase. Both Crew Motorfest and Forza Motorsport will scratch my racing itch for some time.

I own PS5, XSX and Switch, and it has always surprised me that Xbox was the only one to offer customer reviews. Good to see Sony finally add the option. Just need to convince Nintendo to do the same now.

I’m curious about the lower than expected price for this game, £45, compared to EA Sports/Codemasters F1 game which I think launched at £70. Maybe because Rallying is more of a niche sport? 🤔 Racing on the same tracks in different seasons is a nice touch that should add variety & longevity. I agree about the visuals, they look pretty average but hopefully there’s still time for improvement.

Is Dogtown integrated into the main map, or do you have to travel to it separately?

If it’s optional then I don’t see an issue. I’ll probably keep it on and see how it goes.

Good to see Motorfest selling well, I’m really enjoying it. Though Ubisoft must be a bit miffed to just miss out on the top spot by a game that’s been out 7 months 😂

It’s the little touches like this that can really make a game, just like the one you mentioned recently where when you change character he’ll be in the middle of something (like GTAV). Over the last week or so my excitement for this game has gone up considerably. I just can’t believe Spider-man 2 is out the exact same day as Super Mario Wonder, another game I’m excited for.

I think they would be better off delaying it until Nov/Dec to give it a better chance. It’s just gonna get buried otherwise.

13 Sentinels has been on my radar for a while now. Typically though, they put it on PS+ when 1) I’m too busy with other games, like Starfield, 2) the next month or so is stacked with new releases (Phantom liberty, Spiderman 2, Mario Wonder, AC mirage!)

The fact that it’s being reviewed almost a week ahead of release is usually a good sign 👍

Willing to give Saints row a go. I know it didn’t have a good launch but it’s had several patches/updates since then so hopefully it’s a better game for it.

I definitely want to play this at some point, but there’s no point buying it right now whilst Starfield gobbles up all my free time. Hopefully by the time I get around to playing it they will have ironed out any remaining bugs, and it will be cheaper too.

This is exactly what Sony want you to do - stack up on subs and make them a load of money in the process. I’d rather let mine lapse.
