I may have missed it when I read the article, but there are a lot of people in these comments talking about co-op and monster hunter but this game could easily be another battle royale.
Hell, if they are wanting to push multiplayer, I want a new Uncharted multiplayer more than anything else they possibly can offer. Well, Motorstorm would be great as well. A multiplayer Horizon just doesn’t interest me.
I prefer fantastic singleplayer experiences though.
Unless they tell a brand new story, with new characters in a new location, maybe in a different part of the world I’d rather TLoU be done. I have zero interest in playing as Ellie or Abby again. I won’t buy TLoU3 if it has anything to do with those two. I’d probably rent it though.
I’m still not a fan that TLoU Part 1 exists. I knew this was the purpose along with hoping people would double or triple dip on the same game. I bought it on the PS3 and loved Factions. I’m moved to the PS4 soon after and because my friends and I still played Factions, we double dipped. Fast forward to now, we are always waiting on the next big PlayStation game. I bought Horizon and GoWR day one. I beaten both as well. I realize Forspoken is coming, but I’m waiting on the next first party studio game. Now, getting back to TLoU Part 1 existing. If it didn’t exist, there likely would be a new game somewhat close to release from that other San Diego Studio, and ND’s projects could be further along than what they are,but that’s not the case due to them wasting talent on that remake. That’s why I really hope the rumors that HZD Remake is happening are fake. It already takes longer than it ever has for games to release, and the best devs in the industry wasting their talent on these remakes isn’t making the wait for actual new games any easier.
I feel like the only game Sony has right now to look forward too is Spider-Man 2 and that’s probably not going to release until the end of the year 🫠.
I’ve been a pretty big supporter of VR. I bought 2 PSVRs, and an Oculus headset but I’m not really excited for this. It’s probably due to the games. They don’t excite me enough to purchase one day one. It really doesn’t help that there are a ton of good looking traditional games releasing next year. I may end up buying one around July.
It will be very interesting to see if the negativity of TLoU2 will effect sales. Myself along with a few of my friends all have bought every Naughty Dog game day one for well over a decade but none of us have interest in TLoU3 and have no intention of supporting it.
@Truegamer79 I believe that traditionally from MK9 through the Injustices all the way to MK11 they were releasing games every 2 years, so, they are well past their traditional release at this point.
I bought a PSVR early on and bought a Oculus Rift later on as well. So, I’m a big fan of VR but it m just not that excited for PSVR2. I love the new controllers but having experienced Oculus controllers reduces the excitement for using the new PSVR controllers. Also, I’m not excited for any game they’ve shown.
I have a buddy that wants one day one, to my surprise. Though, he refuses to order one online. He said he wants to buy it in store.
It doesn’t help my excitement for VR that 2023 is loaded with great normal games that I’m looking forward too. I can see myself buying one around July of next year.
It’s weird that people today still bash a game so hard that’s a solid 7. I was hoping we were getting past that way of thinking. It may not be great or fantastic, but good is still good.
I loved Ragnarok but I’m past the point of giving a ***** on what they do. With how Sony has been conducting themselves, I bought a Series X this year and I haven’t owned an Xbox since the 360 and I also used the exploit to get three years of GamePass. My buddy who has NEVER owned an Xbox, did the exact same thing I did. With Xbox, I knew I had Plague Tale Requiem coming at the time along with High on Life, Atomic Heart and Red Fall in the near future. I loved Sony during the PS3 era, and that started to fade toward the PS5 being announced. I was going to say at the end of the PS4 era, but, we know how that is going. I miss how Sony use to be, but it is what it is and now I’m covered regardless of whatever they do.
I just beat it last night. My wife and kids watched me play a ton of it. I felt like I took my time with it and it took me around 44 hours. I absolutely loved it. Easily the best game I’ve played in years. It’s extremely rare that I would give a game a 10/10 but this game is a 10 for me.
It’s been very apparent from the start that Microsoft is trying to buy it’s competition. They couldn’t create great studios, so they are buying those with established success and and are focusing heavily with those that have had big success in rpgs and first person shooters and hinder Sony in the process.
I have 0 desire to play as Ellie or Abby again. If they want to do a new story with new characters and location, fine. Otherwise, I will probably skip it until it’s dirt cheap.
Regardless of any of this being true or false, I sure am tired of Sony’s damn silence about what their first party studios are working on and their expected release windows. I miss when they were more open.
@Agramonte Weaker hardware does effect world building, animation and AI. Just look at forced walking, crawling, squeezing and elevator sections for an example.
Im ready for all the big talk from developers to finally pay off. It feels like I’ve been hearing all these grand ideas for about a decade now and in the history of games I’ve never been less wowed. I’m not trying to be negative, I’m just tired of these companies trying to sell to me.
For example, I’ve heard numerous times from the PS4 on about how development is faster and easier than it’s ever been yet that’s not the result we have received.
Whatever NetherRealm is working on is my most anticipated game but it’s very disappointing to have no idea what they are working on or a possible release window.
Yes, Im aware of the rumors of it being MK12, but the NR silence is very aggravating at this point.

To see someone of such high position conducting herself this way is weird.

I plan on buying one around the game drought that’s always around July-August.

Re: Bruce Straley Wasn't Credited in HBO's The Last of Us, Calls for Unionization
Amy Hennig and Bruce are two of the biggest reasons that Naughty Dog became great. So, yeah, it’s *****.
Re: Destruction AllStars Dev Now Helping Out on Sea of Thieves
Well, I guess that kills the rumor that they were making Twisted Metal.
Re: Sony Highlights the Riches of 2023 in Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games Trailer
9 on that list interest me.
Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 1 - Faithful Retelling Deviates in the Right Ways
I really enjoyed it but the only thing I didn’t like was that the women were not muscular enough. They were way too small for the apocalypse 😏.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 Supports 30fps, 60fps, and VRR
VRR ALL THE WAY!
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite God of War Ragnarok Weapon?
It’s hard to pick because I’m constantly switching.
Re: Poll: Have You Completed Elden Ring?
I wasn’t impressed by it. I beat it once and I was done.
Sekiro was way better.
Re: Interview: Talking Biceps and Norse Studies with God of War Ragnarok's Mina Sundwall
I really enjoyed her character and enjoyed seeing her interactions with the other characters.
Re: Opinion: Why 2023 Will Be PS5's Biggest and Best Year Yet

Re: Hogwarts Legacy Delayed to April on PS4, PS5 Version Unaffected
@Icey664 A game releasing over 2 years into the PS5’s life doesn’t justify a early purchase, definitely not a day one purchase like I did.
In this situation it’s better to own current gen though.
No attitude intended.

Back in 2013 I thought we would have been close to the release of GTA7 by now, or possibly playing it by now.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy The Callisto Protocol?
I think I read a while back that it will eventually come to GamePass, so I’ll wait.

Re: The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners 2 Survives PSVR2 on 21st March

Does this have that new Tarkov-like mode?
Re: Iconic Batman Voice Actor Kevin Conroy Has Passed Away
He is my favorite Batman. I really wanted him to be Bruce in a Batman Beyond game.
Re: PS Plus Premium Members Bemused by Sony Once Again
Seems like they are in the path to dropping the top tier and only offering two in the future.
Re: Overwatch 2 Racks Up More Than 35 Million Players in Its First Month
Im one of those. I played three matches and haven’t touched it since. I really don’t like their monetization system.

Yeah, that seems like something Jim Ryan’s Sony would do.
Re: PS5 Exclusive Ghostwire Tokyo Is Coming to Xbox, According to Wall Art in Bethesda Office
I figured it would similar to how Deathloop did. I’m looking forward to playing it on GamePass.
Re: Official God of War Ragnarok PS5, PS4 Graphics Modes Revealed
Quality+HFR+VRR at 40fps for me 🙂.
Re: Santa Monica Studio Pleads for Minimal God of War Ragnarok Spoilers As Game Leaks
Unless these companies lock games out without a day one patch THIS WILL NEVER STOP.
Re: Naughty Dog to Partner with PSS Visual Arts for Unannounced AAA Title
I think they should just go ahead and start remastering or remaking God of War Ragnaroc.
Re: God of War Ragnarok's PS5, PS4 Squeeze Gaps Spark Insight into Hidden Loading Screens
The PS5’s SSD will probably do away with older world building techniques when Sony starts creating ACTUAL PS5 games.
Re: Voice Actress Laura Bailey Keen to Reprise Role in Potential Sequel to The Last of Us: Part II

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
Gameplay, world building, animation and AI come first to me. If that requires 30fps, so be it.
I do prefer 60fps though.
Re: Hands On: Media Molecule's Making Must Plays in a Live Service That Costs Nothing But the Price of Entry
It’s a great creator experience but a mediocre game.
All the “games” in it are low phone game quality.
Re: PC Versions of Future Naughty Dog Games Always a Possibility
Every game made going forward will be created factoring in lower tier pc tech, like HDDs. The PS5 will NEVER be fully utilized.
It is what it is.
