Microsoft is in a terrible position. If they put Call of Duty on Game Pass, it'll take them far longer than the 20-30 years it will currently take for ABK to pay for itself. If they don't put Call of Duty on Game Pass, they greatly damage Game Pass, which is all Xbox has left.

I'm just going to say it. I didn't like the new Prey. I didn't like the annoying mimics and the gloo gun irritated me. Great atmosphere, though. It reminded me of what I like about the Deus Ex games.

I love the 380MM barrage. You just have to be smart on how and where you use it. The 15% spread reduction ship module is both funny and effective.

As a high-level member of the Helldivers community, I apologize for all the embarrassing whininess.

Don't they have to? They said all first party releases are day one on Game Pass. Call of Duty is first party now. It was always going to be a dumb decision because people with Game Pass would be dumb to buy Call of Duty when they already have it and others will pay $10 to play the game instead of $70. Any way you slice it, it will be a massive revenue hit, which is why ABK games were not on subscriptions before and certainly not day one.

I am always happy when the game gets patches because they always improve the already-great game and usually sneak in extra stuff.

As a member of the PC gaming community, I apologize for the embarrassing behavior. Review bombing is very whiney and unfair.

I hope PC players remember that Sony was benevolent for letting them out of the terms they agreed to without reading first.

There is no reason why EmberLab, Arrowhead, Shift Up, and Team Ninja are not first party at this point.

Gamers sure can be embarrassing. It's much easier to review bomb a game than it is to accept you agreed to terms of service you didn't read first.

You can't blame Microsoft for wanting to actually sell their games. Game Pass is a losing business model.

The only problem here is people agreeing to things they don't read first.

This will be useful for Helldivers 2 for sure.

The game deserves its incredible success. I have been hooked. Helldivers 2 quickly become my most played game on Steam and PlayStation, dethroning Destiny 2. (World of Warcraft is still my most played game ever.)

Good stuff, as usual. I'm just here for the comments whining they didn't get three or more brand new AAA games for their ~$7.

The damage of the scythe, which is the laser weapon the rover uses, got its damage increased done 300/sec to 350/sec.

Nerfing the rover made a lot of sense because it made the guard dog obsolete. It just constantly fired and never overheated as intended. Rather than cause it to overheat, they reduced its damage by 30%. Mind you, the weapon it fires got a 15% damage buff, too, so without the damage reduction, it would have been majorly buffed. Now it does about 245 damage per second, down from 300 previously. It's still great.

I thought the patch was great. They adjusted a lot of weapons in a positive way, especially two weapons I like using already (hello HMG reticle!), and they balanced other weapons like the quasar cannon, so every mission is not just full of people taking that on strategem. Arrowhead's goal of making all weapons and strategems viable is a great one and they are working towards it.

You view temporary exclusivity by PlayStation with clearly defined exclusivity periods as meddling, but permanent and/or temporary exclusivity with secretive exclusivity periods by Xbox are not meddling? Peculiar.

They'll be wishy-washy about which games are coming to PlayStation and we all know it. We also know the majority of the games they'll announce are Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard games that would have come to PlayStation without Microsoft's meddling. Thanks, "Gaming for All" Phil.

Incredible spin. Almost all those games were already on PlayStation without Microsoft and those that were not, like Hi-Fi Rush, would have been if not for Microsoft's meddling. They absolutely deserve the huge decline in Xbox sales they are experiencing.

I jumped into Destiny 2 right before The Witch Queen. The game quickly jumped to my most played game ever on Steam. I really enjoyed the game, but it got repetitive. Also, starting as a new player when I did was confusing because they locked off most of the campaign. For that reason, I had to go to YouTube to learn about the lore and things that happened before I jumped in. Destiny 2 is an incredible game, so I hope they stick the landing, but Bungie has made some very bad decisions with it along the way that I hope they learn from with their next games.

I don't care about Fallout and care even less now that Xbox bought it for some popularity points, but I came here to applaud Push Square for FINALLY mentioning all platforms in the headline. Typically, they just mention PlayStation platforms which means their readers, like me, have to go elsewhere as well to get the full details. Nice job.

There once was one (and there still is one, but can't just be opened and used). I think they removed it to close a potential Game Pass loophole. That has got to be at least part of it. Security might be the other.

Strange wording on Push Square's part, but I think they are just speculating what it would mean since Sony would own the Sonic movies and the mediocre Halo show. As far as PlayStation goes, there would be more IP to draw from without paying licensing fees, and perhaps Paramount movies on Sony Pictures Core (of which PlayStation Plus subscribers get a selection), but I don't think much else.

What happens with Paramount+ is far more interesting.

Sony will own more IP they could potentially make games out of, but this is a Sony Pictures deal, not a PlayStation one.

Consolidation sucks, but I don't see why this would be blocked while Disney, which is bigger than both Sony and Paramount combined, was able to buy Fox. The only issue I can see with this is there are federal regulations in the U.S. to restrict foreign entities from owning broadcast channels, which Paramount has.

Xbox One and Series X is only responsible for 1% of Mortal Kombat 11's physical sales last week? Jeez. It should at least match their market share, which is not that low yet.

Any time I get enough points on PS Stars to buy the $5 wallet code, I do that. It helps me keep my wallet topped up and is well-priced points-wise.

Awesome. I already unlocked one of them. Since they are super expensive, it will take a while to unlock the rest. If my memory serves me right, each module is 20,000 requisition, 150 common samples, 100 rare samples, and 15 super samples.

As other commenters are saying, the game lost some stability with the most recent patch. There are way too many crashes and dropped games right now.

The new cape looks so sharp with my Champion of the People armor. It's the first cape that got me to switch from my Will of the People cape since launch.

I found MechWarrior 5 to be just OK and highly repetitive, so the prospect of more of that is unappealing. Based on this preview, however, it sounds like they improved the game substantially and there is co-op now, too. This game is on my radar!

Push Square will have to figure out how to navigate writing articles about Helldivers 2. It is clear the developers like to surprise the community and the community enjoys the mystery, so it's not a good idea to spoil the surprises in the headlines.
