@TIEMs pretty liberal American here, and I loved the game. I didn't get any of that at all. Would I want to hang out with Deacon and Boozer IRL? Probably not, but I don't need video game characters to be proxies of me/my beliefs in order to enjoy their story. It's just a game.
I'm only about 4 hours in, but having entered with tempered expectations, I'm actually really enjoying myself. I'm not very big on the two Jedi games, even got bored with the second one and stopped playing. This one feels more like inhabiting one of my favorite franchises. That said, I don't hate Ubisoft games as much as some. I only play one every few years, so I'm not as bored with the formula as someone would be who plays a lot of them.
@Beetlebum91 I was just going to say, I had fond memories of this, got it for my PS4/5 some time ago and didn't up playing very far as the controls are just awful. I'm confident they'll be updated, but I guess we'll see.
This is neither here nor there, but I don’t think I’ve bought a physical copy of a game since I went digital back when I had my 360. I get the pros and cons of both sides, but it’s just an observation. What is that? Nearly 20 years? Makes me feel old (spoiler alert: I am indeed old).
I got the upgrade, but I ended up picking up the Part 1 remaster because I haven't played the first game in many years. I'm going to play them back to back.
I still have to finish the second half of this game. I haven’t touched it in almost a year. I didn’t dislike it, btw, but I got a bit bored. Been meaning to dive back in…
I got a PS4 very early and was happy with my PS4 Pro. Having had a PS5 since launch, I’m still very happy with it. It would really depend on what the upgrades are and how much of an upgrade they are. I just bought a new 75” 4K tv and won’t be getting a new one for many years, so it would really depend on what kind of improvements we’d see in the system itself and whether or not they are worth it to me. At the moment, that’s completely unknown, of course.
@Mephisto2869 I have a bunch of NECA, MAFEX and a few Hot Toys, too. Nice to see a fellow Robo fan here!
The gun sounds a bit off, but I’m more annoyed that it doesn’t have the distinctive flames shooting out of the sides, lol. Weller’s voice I don’t mind because the man is old. I didn’t expect it to sound exactly the same. It’s close enough for me.
I have nits I could pick, but they don’t detract from the experience for me. I still play RoboCop vs the Terminator on my Sega Genesis from time to time because it’s the last good Robo game, and it came out in 1993! I’m willing to forgive Rogue City a few nits for it being as good as it is. Your mileage may vary, of course.
Besides that, I read somewhere that someone is hoarding the sound library and not licensing it out, so I guess they did what they could with that. From what I understand, this is something that happens from time to time, and it’s a shame.
I'm probably the resident RoboNut on here. Tons of collectibles, favorite movie of all time, etc. I'm on my third play through of Rogue City. Although it's perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, it's my personal GOTY and was well worth the money for the Alex Murphy edition.
I hope we get DLC but I also hope we get a full blown RoboCop: Rogue City sequel. This dev just "gets it."
For clarification, despite not finishing it, I was enjoying it. I just got kind of bored at a certain point (Asgard, which I REALLY hope is at least halfway through. Can anyone confirm?).
Meanwhile I'm on my THIRD play through of RoboCop: Rogue City. Still going despite having the Platinum.
I think a lot of these big budget AAA titles spend so much time being cinematic masterpieces that they forget to be fun video games.
I got bored with it and never finished it. I planned on going back to it but didn't realize its been a year already. Yeesh. Maybe I should do that. Eventually.
The funniest glitch I had on my play through was when I fast traveled (which I rarely do) and popped up inside of a building. Looked odd from the inside out 😆
I just had to FT again to get out though, so it wasn't a big deal.
I'm really happy for the RoboCop developers. Reviews were up and down, but the player scores have been pretty consistently high and word of mouth has been really great.
It's my personal GOTY because I'm a huge Robo fan and I've had more fun playing Rogue City than anything else this year.
I'm about halfway through my second play through and hoping for a NG+ soon (robo fingers crossed).
My only knock so far other than the (expected) jankiness is that there is no manual save option. It's a little hard to know when it's autosaving. But seriously, I'm having a blast with it.
So far reviews from RoboCop fans have been really positive and others have rated it slightly lower. That's obvious and to be expected, IMO. I've really been enjoying it, but I'm a RoboCop nut, so...
8 because all of the Venom stuff was a huge whiff for me as a massive Venom/Eddie Brock fan. Just too out of character and odd. Plus giving not one but two Eddie Brock roles to other characters stung a bit as a fan of the character.
That said, the Kraven stuff was great and Harry was great other than the symbiote stuff. The gameplay elements were improved enough as well. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Story was better in the first game, everything else was better here.
A brief follow up on Spider-Man 2 (if anyone cares). I liked the ending. It hit the emotional notes I was looking for in a Spider-Man game… but I still really didn’t like what they did with Venom. It was a huge whiff for me in an otherwise excellent story. I liked some elements they brought in from recent depictions of the character, but they didn’t pay off other than for visuals and he really was just Venom in name only to me, so that was pretty disappointing.
But that’s just one negative mark on an otherwise excellent experience and I’m really just more annoyed by it because I’m as big of a Venom fan as I am. I’m sure other people’s mileage will vary greatly. I’ve already seen other people saying it’s the best depiction of the character ever, so what do I know?
Anyway, it’s still a great game and if you love Spider-Man, you should play it.
The only thing I noticed was very early on after mashing Square to attack, both characters would continue to attack until I pushed another button. However, this only happened two or three times in the very early part of the game and then I didn't encounter it again and I've used that controller multiple times since with no issues.
I have one mission left (maybe 2?) in SM2 and my impression (so far) is that I preferred the story in the first game, despite being a huge Venom fan. This just isn't "my" Venom at all, but I suppose that was the intention. That and some other things have really solidified the "alternate universe" aspect of the series and it feels like less of a "true" Spider-Man game because of it. But that's just me and is of course entirely subjective. That being said, the gameplay is pretty much perfect and the side quests are a lot better and more fleshed out. I still really love the game but I think the first story hit me harder. Maybe that will change as I wrap this one up.
I'd love an Eddie Brock Venom game, but specifically Eddie. I'm not really interested in the symbiote's other hosts. I haven't played SM2 yet, so no spoilers, but I think my point makes sense based on what I've guessed and heard from the developer.
@atthegates yeah, I hope it runs well on consoles. Still, I'm excited either way. Playing in 30fps would be rough at this point, but if it's the only way I can play it, I'll take it.
Since RoboCop is my favorite film and it's been 30 years since a good RoboCop game (1993's RoboCop vs The Terminator), I'm VERY excited for this one. Even more so than Spider-Man 2, which I'm also pretty hyped for. Instant pre-order for me. I'll buy that for a (lot more than) a dollar!
@atthegates I don't know about how it'll be on my PS5, but John from DF LOVED the PC demo. He raved about it on the Sunday's weekly video. Hopefully the full game is optimized well across all platforms.
I’m really looking forward to Spider-Man 2, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more excited for RoboCop. I still occasionally play RoboCop vs the Terminator on my Sega Genesis because I’m a HUGE RoboCop fan (it’s my favorite movie) and there hasn’t been a truly good Robo game in decades. I’m super hyped for this as it’s right up my (dystopian Detroit) alley.
I’ve played most of the series (I skipped a few after 3) and enjoyed Origins and Odyssey (especially the later). That being said, while Valhalla was so big I got bored with it and never finished it, this return to the older style of games doesn’t interest me, either. Feels like a “been there, done that” to me. I also found Basim (and all of the Valhalla characters, really) deeply uninteresting, so I’m not excited to play as him. I hope those playing really enjoy it and have a good time with it, but I’ll be skipping this one.
This is the only game I've been playing since its PS5 release. I have limited game time but I'm about 33 hours in and loving it. That said, patches are almost always welcome 😁
I've never played D&D or any other turn based RPG and I wasn't sure if I'd like BG3, but I wanted to support the studio for their accomplishment of actually releasing a complete game with no microtransactions in this day and age of modern gaming. That being said, I'm about 10 hours in and loving every minute!
It looks insanely good now. I tried to play it flat-screen while I had a cold last week (not putting a headset on while sick... gross 😆) and I can't go back. I can only play this game in VR now.
When I first saw the trailer, I thought she looked different, but I think she just looks a little more mature and that's to be expected. Honestly, I prefer her "new" look.
I’ve been enjoying it for what it is (a half baked, but fun game), but it’s way overpriced. I hope they add a lot of wrestlers over time or it will wear out its welcome rather quickly for most people. New wrestlers added now and again should keep it entertaining for die hard Aew fans and/or people who enjoy the arcadey gameplay.

Re: Days Gone PS5 Remaster Rumours Start to Snowball
I love Days Gone. I think I completed it three times. My hope is that a remaster is to test the waters for possible interest in a sequel.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?
I got mine at launch and I'm really happy with it. I was just playing it a few hours ago.
I don't even own a PC (haven't in many years), so the idea of a different VR platform isn't really viable for me.
I get that it's not for everyone. For me? I love it.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered?
