@Czar_Khastik I don't recall it being that much more difficult ramping it up. I think some of the side stuff like the arena battles may be harder to complete but don't recall the story being problematic.
I haven't played a Dragon Age game since the very first one and I never completed it. Had a hard time staying involved/invested therefore I never played any sequels. That said, would this game bring someone like me back into the series? Sounds like there's a turn around from what it was.
@scoobdoo Same reviewer. I started playing this last night and while I'm still getting a feel for it, I could definitely jump in and kill some more time here.
Been reading it plays worse than the PS4 version at times along with other technical issues. If that is the case, just shows that not everything needs a remake, remaster, or redo.
In our gaming days where things get patched left and right for frame rate, bugs, glitches, etc; it should be a no brainer to get this fixed on the current PS5 models. Absolutely no need for someone to spend $700 on a future console to get a game to work as intended when it launched 6 months ago. This is an unacceptable solution.
This gives me a great idea to open a store of "attempts" - want this new limited edition PS5? I'll attempt to find it for a fee. I'll attempt to find that rare Pokemon card you want. I'll attempt to do your laundry. I'll attempt to get your wife pregnant. I'll attempt anything at Slacker's Attempts Store!
Seriously though, if you're buying this attempt, you need to be hit in the head with a tack hammer repeatedly.
Helldivers 2 is one of those things that just randomly worked out. Right price at the right time for launch. Not every game is going work out like this and for everyone trying to catch lighting in a bottle, sorry it's not going to happen. I'll keep an open mind about it for now but I have a feeling it's going to be Concord 2.
I used to have a lot of fun with this game then I'd save and unlock new warbonds only to have the weapons nerfed. It turned me off to keep playing but I'd still do a few rounds with friends here and there. I'm glad to see things are mostly back to where they belong and things look fun again. I'm eager to start back up.
I'm not a fan of the whole slim/pro models. Never bought any slim or pro model of any PlayStation and I'm not starting now. I don't get that every generation console from Sony now has to have a slim and a pro model down the line. Seems like a lot of lost focus and resources to me but what do I know, I'm sure there's an audience for these models.
@naruball I never stated that no one actually played it. I know there were dozens of players. DOZENS! I just think you can't force a live service game to work if the demand and player base isn't there and lets face it, it wasn't for this game.
The community predicted well in advance, just not this soon. No one wanted the game, no one was hyped about the game, no one barely played the beta, no one wanted to pay for it, and no one cared when it launched. There were signs this was going to happen before it happened.
I took one of my kids to an AJR concert recently and mxmtoon was the opener. Having never heard of mxmtoon or their music before, the show was pretty fun and she interacted with the crowd after each song . Pretty cool to see her show up in this game. Adding Potion Craft in will make for some pretty cool recipes I'm sure and Balatro in here is absolutely bonkers.
I enjoyed the first 2 Borderlands games and was really excited about the 3rd one. After playing it, I didn't like the vault hunters as much as the previous games, story was forgettable, and the villains were awful. I hope it gets back to its root a bit but I'll be keeping a hesitant eye on further updates.
@J-Dubs The first game came out in 2000, second in 2002, and the third in 2005. These were all pre-trophy games which didn't start until the PS3. Even the PS3 console/games didn't launch with trophies which were added in down the road.
I enjoy this game and doing a few missions with friends now and then however I detest these nerfs. As many mentioned prior, this is PvE so it should be fun to work together and use weapons based on missions and which teammate is using what. All these changes just hinder that fun factor. I get upset that when I finally unlock a new warbond and try/enjoy a new weapon, it's nerfed right after. Just let us enjoy the weapon content as is when it's launched.
I appreciated Sony going all out on marketing and releasing extra content but I don't think this should be the game for it. Too much of a negative cloud around it.
@glassmusic If you scroll up a few comments, Sammy linked one that PushSquare did. Probably better than anything I/we could mention in limited characters here.
@glassmusic I'd say play ZZZ. The game has only been out for a little bit and you'd be able to stay current with upcoming events and/or characters. Genshin has been out for a while and may need to play 'catch up' on it more.
NBA Street and NBA Street Vol. 2 were really good and had lasting fun memories playing them with friends. I never played the other 2 games they released in the series but they seemed to be in positive standings. I'll keep an eye on this and see how the gameplay looks because if I could relive those old days with a modern game, that would be pretty nice.
I tried the early access beta last week and got what I needed from playing. If it were a FTP game when it launches, I would go back and check it out further perhaps but no way am I paying for an average shooter.
I think the open beta will entice more people to try it however I still feel like the numbers will be low. I appreciated the offer of PSN subscribers to try the game last week and while it was ok, it's not enough for me to justify the price tag. I could see them eventually forgoing the price tag and making it FTP but it would be too late by then.
I enjoyed this game when it came out. I'm not sure this DLC is enough to bring me fully back into it. I hope it's enjoyable for anyone who does get it.
I'm really glad the beta went available for non pre-order PSN members as I was curious about the game. Having played it, it's better than I thought however you could have told me this was a special event or DLC for Overwatch 2 with new characters and I would have believed you. There were some characters I enjoyed using (I don't recall names, I just selected their picture) while others, based on their abilities or weapons, I stayed away from. The characters seemed like they were ripped from the Guardians Of The Galaxy game (maybe the movie too). I'm eager to see how this game does with the price tag though as I had fun with the beta, I don't think I'd shell out money for it.
@Danbottomburp Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I went off the main quest path and leveled up a bit before finishing the Bunny quest. However the point I was trying to make was that the reviewer made it seem like Bunny was the first character, not the initial of the 3 to choose. Yes, she is the first unlock for everyone from questing but there's no mention of that in the review.
@Northern_munkey Thanks, I appreciate that. Ironically I used to do some freelance video game journalism back in the day to some low key, now defunct sites so I guess it stayed with me.

@Czar_Khastik That's a great idea. Since it's a flip on the price, you can flip the name too and be Mario64. Wait...no...

I went to play this last night just in case Nintendo wins and the game is taken down. Why did I think this was a free game?
