Great timing on pic to this post, I'm actually playing Trails into Daybreak 2 Crimson Sin with translation mod. Great game, includes mini games that were sorely lacking in Daybreak 1. Seems more like a (albeit big) DLC to 1, story-wise though. Very addictive gameplay, at least to me. I contemplated waiting for English version next year, but gave in.
@IntrepidWombat I literally got that same game from EB and had no disc in it. Thankfully, I was still at the mall and was eating lunch. Back before malls became the cesspools they are today. Couldn't pay me to step into one.
I'd say a very difficult franchise to spoil. Although, even some established ones are hard to. Like telling someone Gandolf is the BIG BAD in the next Zelda game
No. The last few weeks have been a juxtaposition of games made in the east vs games made in the west. Results speak for themselves. Western games are becoming close to unplayable due to entertainment being the very least of their priorities.
6? Wow, I'm shocked, but not really. Minute I heard Ubisoft was making this game. My expectations dropped. This is so much a western hemisphere game in 2024 with all it's literal ugly warts.
Don't really care. The fact it's on PC and PS5 should be enough. The fact most Xbox games are also on PC, makes me really question the value of an Xbox. I'm no Sony fanboi, either. I've owned some version of the game console they made, at some point. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Atari, Sega, etc. I tried to even convince myself I needed the latest version of the Microsoft console, and couldn't do it. Having said that, I'm all for gamers/consumers having MORE choices, not less. I have no qualms about exclusivity, against or for it, other than knowing more choices are almost always more consumer friendly than less.
Given the influences involved in this, kind of not holding out a lot of hope. Will this be The Acolyte of Star Wars games? 77 on Metacritic right now, with no user scores, for obvious reasons.
Don't watch? I mean, I know that's hard when this is what you do for a living., but for the rest of us, it really isn't that hard. Unless you keep posting the crap you are complaining we shouldn't see.
Don't really care. Whole reason I never got an Xbox this generation because there wasn't a single game I felt like I was missing out on as a PC/PS5/Switch owner.
@Flaming_Kaiser Really absolutely no reason at all to buy a game early these days. Bonuses aren't even worth it, and 9 out of 10 times are mostly cosmetic. I'm gonna wait until enough people have beta tested it out in the wild before I plunk down 6 to 7 bills.
Wow, who saw that coming? I mean, besides absolutely anyone remotely involved in gaming in the last decade or so? Who did everyone think they were competing with buying preorders?
The fact this was, and was always going to be, a stinker... is not shocking. Movies based off shooters are going to be extremely hard to pull off. I never saw any sign that this would be worth even a streaming view. Some games are better left as games.
@Splat Just personally, given the drought of similar games in this genre on the PS5, and an already substantiated quasi-mascot, I see it selling like hot cakes. If I had to guess, the future of Astro Bot on PlayStation looks bright indeed. Sony has struggled to have a Sonic or Mario level mascot, but I expect this may be a step in that direction.

Re: Soapbox: Astro's Playroom PS5 Did Live Service and You Didn't Even Notice
Anything done in a minamilsitic way is fine by me. Just beating you over the head with something is a different tune.
Re: Star Wars Outlaws Director a 'Little Disappointed' with Critical Reception
More westernized garbage.
Re: NBA 2K25 Guide: How to Conquer the Basketball Court
I jabe nothing...
Re: Astro Bot (PS5) - One of the Greatest PlayStation Platformers of All Time
"Playstation platformer." Bit of an oxymoron. Not a lot of games to compete with in that field, but I'm sure it's great.
Re: Minecraft's Weird Live Action Movie Is Going to Be Massive, Isn't It?
Garbage Man sounds oddly foreshadowing of what I believe will suffer a similar fate of Borderlands. There be garbage here, man.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Star Wars Outlaws?
Western developers just worry about everything but gameplay.
Re: PlayStation Fans Think Hideo Kojima's Teasing PS5 Pro, But It's One Hell of a Reach
Putting a blanket over any modern console would just be dumb. Somehow, I think this really is just a reach

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024?
It's very clear a lot of Western gaming companies took a left turn in Albuquerque. How do people keep funding this crap?
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024?
Looks like all the companies have just decided that they'd rather pursue one interest over entertainment. Wake me when it's over.

Re: Astro Bot PS5 DualSense Controller Pre-Orders Are Now Live
Sony has the worst web experience of any game store, and it ain't even close. Horrible, always has been and I just guess they must like it that way.
Guarantee these will be $200 on eBay next week. LOL
Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Won't Let You Control Companion Characters
@AhmadSumadi there's been several reasons but you do you. Maybe it will surprise everyone but haven't seen a single reason to believe that.

This is sending up so many red flags. Better question is will they lay off half the staff before or after it's released?
