@Westernwolf4 Yeah, I’m just visiting it and already enjoying it. So many more interesting missions there and I already had like 50 to do. I can’t imagine finishing this game in the next 100 hours.

Far from happy. Another terrible month, which makes the decision to quit PS Plus altogether after my subscription runs out even easier.

Gotham Knights might be interesting, but is already on GP. Disco Elysium seems like a game that’s not for me at all and all the rest is too old or uninteresting. Extra used to have really good months, but nowadays it’s disappointment after disappointment.

Just Starfield. Haven’t touched anything else since release. I’m about 110 hours and have only done three main missions yet. Visiting Neon for the first time now.

I don’t know what’s so ridiculous about this rather short list, but I’m definitely extremely hyped for the ER expansion. Although I also want to do a rerun/ng+ of the base game (I hope this can be combined) plus want to finally play other From games as well.

I’m not hyped at all, to be honest. I enjoyed the first one as a small in-between affair. Miles Morales has been in my (free) backlog for over a year now though. I’ll might play Spider-Man 2 eventually in a year or two, but won’t pay full price for such a short game.

@michaelf Yes, I think that is the problem. Because of the capitals you can’t distinguish the titles from the other words. Now my mind sees a collection of words instead of a sentence.

The titles of the articles on this website are often so complex that I don’t know how to read them. Perhaps it’s because I’m not native, but normally I have no trouble with the language at all.

I should really try it out then. I always thought these games weren’t for me, but Elden Ring already is one of my all time favorites.

Also, I can play BB for free because I claimed it back then via de Plus Collection. Is it playable (on PS5) though? I heard people were begging for a remaster?

TCP is the sort of game I have PS Plus for. Finally an interesting addition again.

Ugh, I so much want to play this again but it just feels too overwhelming in combination with my backlog. I left somewhere at the start of the first expansion (and have bought expansions 2-4 as well) but can’t get a grasp on how long in total this will take me. Probably years, non stop?

I did LOVE it though, so I’m still in doubt.

I don’t understand why they take Series X and S together. The X is a much more powerful machine so you’d expect better results from it than the S.

Are these games recommended for someone who loves Death Stranding (as in one of my all time favorite games) but hasn’t played any MGS game?

I bought the base game when the PS5 upgrade came out but sold it when I couldn’t get to grips with the menu and map. Now the 2.0 update and DLC are there I’m thinking about rebuying it though because I probably didn’t give it enough time and really, really like the setting. Any thoughts about this came clicking if you give it some extra attention?

Is it just me or is the January-March schedule not that special? Besides FF I don’t see anything interesting and quantity wise it’s rather standard as well?

@themcnoisy That's not true. With previous entries I played whole seasons on offline single player without ever feeling the need to use micro transactions. I'm sure it will be the same with this one.

@get2sammyb I understand why you made this decision, but it still feels a bit strange to me. If someone like me who'll never need micro transactions and just wants to play some stunning basketball matches came across this score, he'd probably leave it alone, never knowing what a gem this is (gameplay, graphics and overall experience wise). You'd almost give it two scores, but I understand that's confusing as well.

The reviews and scores often don’t seem to match on this website. Harsh words about mediocre games get a 6/10 and with the praise in this one I expected a 8/10. “The best presented and most complete sports game on the market” is not worth 6/10 for a problem most users won’t even come across. I never did with the previous entries anyway.

Would have been a nice in-between if it was for "free" on PS Plus Extra. Now I'll just stick to Forza Horizon when I want some dumb, fun racing and Forza Motorsport when I want the real deal.

For all my games on my wishlist they show the exact same discounts at every single sale. And none of them are tempting.

Disappointing once again, hopefully some good, recent games will be joining these. PS Plus really needs some better months now.

NieR is a nice game, although definitely not as brilliant as Automata. The others don’t interest me, these are not the sort of games I’ve bought a current gen console for.

They deserve it. I’ve never been so in love with a new game so quickly before and it’s only getting better and better. I just want to experience every single detail to the fullest.

The graphics look great, but I never understood all the hype. The first game wasn’t more than a fun, quick in-between for me. Miles Morales has been sitting in my backlog for two years now since I always had more interesting games to play.

Starfield, obviously. My PS5 can cool down for a couple of months, although I was in the middle of a very enjoyable run with WRC Generations until Starfield came out.

Not interested in this one at all. The gameplay videos look so boring and I'd never get used to the high camera angle. Playing Starfield for the coming months anyway, so I won't have time for other games.

I think Generations offers enough to keep us entertained for years. Seems like since it was their farewell game they just put as much as possible content in.

The new one might have better graphics, but with a rally game that really makes no difference at all. If you try to look at the graphics for half a second you're out of the rally.

No thank you, I’ll let it run out next summer. Such a steep price increase is against my principles. I’ll turn the Series X into my main console instead of the PS5 since Game Pass now definitely offers a much better deal, including all games that are coming out in the next year or so.

I’m not playing online anyway, so I won’t miss it.

Starfield. Probably won’t change for the coming months, except for the occasional Forza Motorsport race. PS5 won the race so far but now the Series X is the console to beat.

Been playing Generations as a quick in between after finishing FF XVI and waiting for Starfield, but I got totally hooked. Such a lovely game. Since it’s packed with content and for rally games the graphics don’t matter too much (you don’t have time to watch them anyway) I’ll be good for the coming years.

I expected a 10 euro increase after reading the title. This is the most ridiculous price increase I've ever seen. Been enjoying Extra but might cancel PS Plus in its entirety now.

Started playing WRC Generations just as an in between (FF XVI and Starfield, obviously) game but really loving it. These series are such a gem for sim lovers. Nothing beats being in the flow of a long rally stage, clicking with the navigator’s instructions.

Lots of respect for this game. The whole setting is truly unique and the atmosphere great. Personally I found a couple of days enough because it quickly feels like grinding going through all those scenes.

Since it’s both on PS Plus and Game Pass: how’s the dual sense implementation?

I’m happy with this one. Finally an interesting month for Essential.

Football is my favorite sport but I can’t get into these games. Tried last year’s entry a few months back, but it all felt so overwhelming and based on dumb luck that it just wasn’t fun to play.

I’ll stick to the real deal. Luckily the new season starts this week.

About to finish Final Fantasy XVI (97% and cleared all the extra side missions and hunt board) this weekend. With a few days to kill during my holiday until Starfield releases I'll probably try out WRC Generations next.

After that I'm afraid my entries to this topic will be rather one sided for the next couple of months

@Casco Same. I was at 97% and all prepared for the last mission having cleared all side missions in advance... and then about 20 additional side missions were dumped on me.

How do you conclude a review like this with the words “Not bad”?

I still feel like I should love this game. The whole setting seems straight up my alley, but when I played it (somewhat rushed) a year ago I got lost in the complex menu and disorienting map. Anyone else who encountered this but loved it when they pulled through?

Is buying the game for PS4 and upgrading it for free for PS5 still the way to go, also with the DLC coming soon?

So everyone got mad for no reason now that it’s confirmed that 720p is only for Switch portable and current gen hits at least 1080?

Nearing the end of Final Fantasy XVI (86%), just in time for Starfield. Not disliking it anymore, but it’s definitely disappointing after having loved many entries.

Second month in a row none of the titles interest me. Of course I can use the “I won’t have time to play my backlog anyway” again, but still I’m a bit worried that Extra doesn’t deliver as I was used to anymore.

Continuing with Final Fantasy XVI. I’m at 75% now and want to finish it this month so I can start with Starfield on day one.

@dBackLash Just remember there is no needlessly dying in Returnal. Even if you don’t unlock any perks (most of the times you will without noticing, like permanently upgrading weapons) you still get to know the environments and enemies better. You’ll benefit from this later on.

Second garbage month in a row. Not what we were used to for Extra. But well, I won’t have time to play them anyway with all that’s coming out in the coming months.

I'll try it on Game Pass if I'll ever be done with Starfield but don't have very high hopes. I think graphically this could really work but I've never played a real good soulslike.

@tallythwack If a director who's made 3 good-great action movies returns to action for his 5th movie after a mediocre horror movie, you can't call it unexpected in my book.
