@EVIL-C The game wouldn't work very well on Switch anyways. Since it was a live service title that must be online at all times, it makes no sense to be on Switch cause you can't take and play the game on the go with you. This was one of the main reason why live service RPG, Genshin Impact never came to the Switch as the portable nature of the Switch platform is not a reliable outcome for the game.

Going with Sony back then was the right call, continue to stick around with Sony of today though not so sure. Remember Sony doesn't know how to make games back then so they will take in any dev that wanted the money just so long as they commit for the long term. Naughty Dog was lucky they bite the right hook and got reel in and was made Sony's golden goose. The silver goose end up being Insomniac and the rest is history.

So far it only had three games, just release a full trilogy of the first three games to all platforms while Yu Suzuki himself work on the fourth game. It shouldn't be this difficult to make a new Shenmue game. This series is heavy on the budget but doesn't want to deliver the goods. If Yu Suzuki want the story of Shenmue to be widespread, he needs to make it wide available and to do that the games had to be everywhere. Steam, Epic Game, GOG, Nintendo, Xbox, all of those. Heck even include some Shenmue cameos in Yakuza, Virtua Fighter, and Sonic games would be helpful too.

They gonna had 20 remasters during the SOP and none of them are going to be The Legend of Dragoon or The Legend of Legaia. Two legendary games that Sony will probably never touch ever again.

Game is very boring, not like Splatoon at all. No wonder Square Enix is losing money on this game. Hardly anyone I know plays this game online either.

So how are they gonna give you a good Call of Duty or Crash Bandicoot game for the PS6 Sony if you're not gonna tell them all your PS6 secrets? Even if Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, they still gonna port you some of the games. Not telling them how your DualSense 2 controller will work or your PS6 hardware specs to them means your PS6 will probably gonna get a game that won't work properly on your system and it's going to be all your fault.

Remember that if Call of Duty ever suck on PlayStation now, it's all Activision's fault and not Microsoft. Microsoft didn't get to marry them yet.

I know that he's referring to games as live services but I think somewhere in there he also means SEGA is boring to him. Remember SEGA = SErvice GAmes.

This game is literally Octopath Traveler but with 7 characters instead of 8.

While I did enjoy the game a bit, this game is going in the right direction with its story and gameplay. Only thing is will it be enough to save the franchise to get another entry?

@rawzeku It's also coming to PC so not really a PS5 exclusive.

@Amusei Reason FFVII remake is not on Xbox yet is probably due to the game not being completed yet. Microsoft will wait until Square Enix gave PlayStation all the first dips and then came in to scoop all the games for GamePass once all the games are in a more finish state and Sony's exclusivity is over.

@BritneyfR_ee It's likely Sony will buy Stadia just like they bought Gaikai and OnLive. Sony always likes buying failed cloud technologies.

So Tri-Ace ditch this Valkyrie game for Star Ocean: The Divine Force, I can see why this game felt different from the rest of the other Valkyrie games.

Why is he bothering Sony? Just go to NIS, Atlus, XSeed, Square Enix, or Nintendo and had them secured publishing it. It's clear Sony had a different mindset this gen and securing more JRPGs aren't part of it unless your game is from a popular IP.

@dasd2 You really want to pay $70+tax for Final Fantasy? If Sony acquired Square Enix, all your Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games will get those Sony price.

@zupertramp Yeah but the OLED model was never cheap, it offered the same stuffs as the base model but better. Instead of 32gb storage, you get 64gb storage, instead of tiny speaker you get bigger speaker, instead of one puny stand you get a larger bigger stand, instead of a USB dock you get a new one with LAN support, instead of 3-5 hours battery life you now get 6-8 hours battery, and instead of a LCD screen you get a bigger better colorful OLED screen. All minor features that totally deserve that $50 raise.

Now is a good time to leave consoles behind and stick with PC and handhelds like Steam Deck and Switch.

The PS5 is already struggling with sales in Japan, pushing for a price hike will make it even difficult for consumers to not only find the darn thing but purchasing it as well. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite Sony in the rear.

At this point you may as well use QuadPay or Klarna to pay for your console, at least with that you could pay in four sums, once per bi-weekly instead of a one time expensive sum pay.

So it's basically Strangers of Paradise, the summoner edition. Cool but I still need to see what the story is about first, those gorgeous movies may hide some mediocre stuff.

Other than the slight different character design of Ashley the game doesn't look any better than the HD remastered version. The environment does look more realistic but that's pretty much it.

@Would_you_kindly It's also coming to Xbox Series X and PC as well btw so you're not completely left out if you don't have a PS5 yet. The only systems not getting it are Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.

@BobbyDG Max Payne 3 is still on Steam if that makes you happy. There are some nice mods for it too if you decided to check that one out.

If it's cheaper on Steam then I'll just wait for that version instead, $70 for these old games in remake form just isn't worth it.

Why not just release Ys IX as well?
