Character, story, acting, world, gameplay... it is all there and not only "fun to play" but they also had the time to make it look fantastic on my 4KTV
Narrative, characters, world, gameplay, voice acting, soundtrack... it is all in the package. They did a great job.
FF16, Starfield, Phantom Liberty, Baldur's Gate 3, SM2. These are the digital experiences that keep me in gaming. At this point, mindlessly running forward in a Crayola 2D world and jumping to collect stuff is simply not enough.
Sounds great. Already pre-ordered. Remedy is one of my fav developers.
But Digital only games I only buy for PC. Reason I have a console is for the option of Renting or Selling my full price Day 1 games. Consoles loose value if not an option. How I keep cost down.
If paying full price for digital, rather keep it on PC and not risk Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft deciding if get to keep my collection or not.
Same here. I have a Water Loop on mine so it is dead silent regardless what I am playing maxed out. But not getting that for $400 dollars... But yeah, the new $79 price for PS+ is nonsense.
Not surprised, loving Starfield so far. If you into Space and exploration, the game is a dream.
That said... there is still no Aloy or Kratos or Ellie or Drake or Morales. You are basically controlling a cardboard cut out as things happen around you (even JEDI and Mass Effect gave you more of a sense of being part of a crew you care about as a unit)
The Sony magic of creating a narrative around central characters that elevates a story/world beyond what it actually merits (SE nailed it also with FFXVI) is nowhere to be seen here.
Even worse. Now not only dealing with Windows but also stepping in as tech support. No point in building a rig "just as powerful as a PS5" in my book
People complain about the PS5 size and design but now lets pretend some POS budget YouTube PC build is an option. End up with some Circa 1990 ATX Mid-Tower tub in the living room.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Alan Wake 2?
Yeah, tag team with SM2
Big Remedy fan, and they delivered again.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 500
Woot!... 500. Congratz.
1. Spiderman 2 (PS5)
2. Alan Wake 2 (PC)
"Maybe, algo con Brillo".... β¨π·πΈπ
Hahaha, even in random little things Spiderman 2 is simply amazing.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
Right now, 9 easy.
Character, story, acting, world, gameplay... it is all there and not only "fun to play" but they also had the time to make it look fantastic on my 4KTV
They gave me the full package for my cash.
Re: Alan Wake 2 (PS5) - A Nightmare We Never Want to Wake Up From
Wow, It is one amazing game after another. Love it!
Big fan of Remedy.
Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Is Going to Look Unreal on PS5
Looks fantastic.
No desire to play it again. But sure makes me excited for UE5 games.
Re: What the **** Is This Insane Animal Crossing-Style Game in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?
This is so Day 1.
I really need it to run on my Steamdeck. This insanity would be perfect at the hotel after an awful workday on the road π€£
Re: Poll: Spider-Man 2 PS5 Bugs are Apparently a Real Problem, But Have You Had Any?
I do not think so. Playing it on 120/VRR and it has been solid.
I have the disc so was concerned about having issue installing it. But it zipped by 35% and installed with no problems first try.
Re: Media Molecule Confirms Report of Layoffs, Has Begun Consultation Process
I am surprise they have 135 people.
Honestly, if in a studio that has Dreams and Tearaway as recent output I would have been working on my resume/portfolio.
Hopefully they land somewhere else.
Re: Well-Received Souls-Like Lords of the Fallen Tops 1 Million Sales
Oh wow. On my list, just not had time to play it
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Is Immediately the Fastest-Selling PlayStation Studios Game Ever
Great game. Insomniac deserves it with what they have made
We have had an amazing bunch of games back to back. It has been a dream of a year for me.
This is simply the latest high note.
Re: Rumour: This Might Be Assassin's Creed Red's Main Character
Did not care about Assassin's Creed Mirage.
"Back-to-basics approach" that basically translated to dated game mechanics and story telling - not something I have any nostalgia for.
Hopefully this gets back to what made me care again for AC with the last few modern games. That Art is a good start.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Comes Out Swinging for Number One Debut
Not surprised. It is a fantastic game.
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Director: This Game Is Worth the Money
Worth every penny so far.
2 tickets to go see Manet/Degas at the MET last weekend was $60 and we did not stay for 20 hrs.
If you want to have tons of fun while also watching amazing Digital Art in motion. This is an easy buy.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 499
1. Spider-Man 2
Having a blast. Fun game, with a narrative that also looks fantastic! Now this is the full package I am happy to pay for.
Sony has another gem here.
Re: Video: Spider-Man 2 Is a Big Graphical Upgrade in Side-by-Side Comparison
Very nice. It looks even better in motion. Great to see studios pushing things forward.
Fun and Stunning, that is what I expect for my money.
Re: PS Studios Celebrate the Launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with Awesome Art
Amazing... Love it.
The amount of raw artistic talent over at Sony is mind blowing.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
Yeah!... A bit before work, already blown away. Hype is real.
Forecast here is rain all weekend. Perfect timing π
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying a PS5 'Slim'?
Nope...
Same way I did not buy a Switch OLED or a PS4 Pro or a 3080 12GB.... They all get 1 purchase each generation.
Re: September 2023 Circana: PS5 Still on Top Despite Chart-Topping Starfield
@nomither6
Yeah. Hard sell to go from an epic like Starfield (and Phantom Liberty) to playing a 2D Mario.
I bought Spider Man 2 - but have Mario Wonder on my rental list at GameFly. I'll check it out when they get around to shipping it.
Re: September 2023 Circana: PS5 Still on Top Despite Chart-Topping Starfield
Not surprised. Starfield was Day 1 for me, and Loved it. Played it on PC Game Pass so I do not count as a sale - makes #1 even more impressive.
I did pay for the upgrade. Playing it for $10 seemed criminal, even if legal.
But that does not change the fact that the PS5 is the best console right now. You buy a PS5 first... and go from there.
Re: Sky-High Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Review Scores Make It One of the Top Rated Games of 2023
I never had a doubt. Cant wait.
Games, games and more game... and not only great games but also look beautiful thanks to great hardware.
Goes to show that zero excuse not to have both.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential Games for October Leaked
I rented Calisto Protocol and enjoyed it.
Well worth a try.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?
Yeah... loving it. They built such an amazing world. I'll come back as many times as they expand it.
Re: Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Officially Announced for PS5, PC
Nice. I sold my copy after the expansion.
I'll get it at some point on PC for my collection to keep. I already have ZD on steam. Finished all of it so not in a rush (great game!!!)
Hopefully runs as well on Steam Deck as Zero Dawn did.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty (PS5) - Excellent Expansion Is Cyberpunk's Blood and Wine
Amazing, thanks!
Starfield, Lies of P, Phantom Liberty... in gaming heavenπ
Re: Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Is Around 20 Hours Long, Levels and Equipment Don't Carry Over
So excited for this. Loved Arise.
Great news for me just keeps on dropping this year. One game after another.
Re: Preview: The First Descendant Could Be a Decent Destiny-Like Co-Op Shooter on PS5
Played the Beta Test on PC with my cousin and it sold us on it. Got into the control and upgrade mechanics easily
We will be there on launch for sure.
Re: Poor Immortals of Aveum Sales Leads to Significant Lay-Offs
I usually support EA Originals
It takes 2, Lost in Random, Unravel 1-2 and Sea of Solitude are all in my collection.
I completely forgot this was out. I think I also confused it with another game that came out on GamePass recently.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's Stunning CG Trailer Sets the Stage
Simply amazing. My game after I am done with Starfield.
Type of games that keep me in gaming. Good times.
Re: Lies of P (PS5) - No Fibs Found in This Souls-Like Great
Nice review, Thanks
Starfield, Lies of P, Phantom Liberty... September launch line-up was built for me π
Re: Alan Wake 2 Is Over 20 Hours Long as Remedy Makes Its Biggest Game Yet
Sounds great. Already pre-ordered. Remedy is one of my fav developers.

Re: Latest PS5 Firmware Update Out Now, Adds Support for Dolby Atmos, Larger SSDs
Nice. Receiver, TV, Earbuds are all Dolby Atmos.
I had to pay $15 to enable Dolby Atmos on my Gaming PC so it would take advantage of my Livingroom set up. Free update is good on PS5.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, Phantom Liberty Stream Set for Thursday
Going from Starfield to Phantom Liberty is simply gaming bliss for me. Game release schedule has been fantastic this year. Cant wait
I for one loved the game on PC. Never drank the cool-aid that it would actually run on a PS4.
Re: Mini Review: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (PS5) - A Worthy Successor to Jet Set Radio
Sold, big fan of JSR.
Re: Looks Like One of PS5's Best Games Is Getting a Complete Edition
Great games.
Forbidden West not as great as ZD, but still great game. Cant wait for the next part.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Is Comparable to Ultra Settings on PC, But There's Room for Improvement
@Sequel
Same here. I have a Water Loop on mine so it is dead silent regardless what I am playing maxed out. But not getting that for $400 dollars... But yeah, the new $79 price for PS+ is nonsense.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Starfield Soars While Mortal Kombat Hype Brings Back 11
Not surprised, loving Starfield so far. If you into Space and exploration, the game is a dream.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2's PS5 Recreation of New York City Looks Ridiculous
Well let's see. Because last time Washington Heights and Inwood somehow do not exist in Marvel's Universe
NYC ends a few steps after Harlem O.O
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 493
Same as before
1. Starfield (PC Gamepass)
2. Armored Core (PS5)
Both are fantastic games.
Let me play for Starfield for $10 means I bought the Upgrade. So the Microsoft strategy actually worked this time.
Re: Video: Spider-Man 2's Striking PS5 Console and DualSense Controller Unboxed
That looks pretty nice.
I actually went to check if the controllers or cover were still available... π€£ silly me.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Is Comparable to Ultra Settings on PC, But There's Room for Improvement
@Northern_munkey
If PC budget is $400, buy a PS5.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 Is Comparable to Ultra Settings on PC, But There's Room for Improvement
You better paying $400 for a PS5 than for a $400 "Gaming PC" right now (usually a POS, especially with RT on)
Not worth dealing with Windows in that price segment. Just get a PS5.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Baldur's Gate 3?
I have it on PC.
But waiting to finish Armored Core and StarField to really dive in.
It is hard to keep up with all the great games on my PS5/PC list. A really great "problem" to have.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Hogwarts Legacy on Top as Armored Core 6 Drops
Starfield is a Great game. Enjoying it a lot. Also a few side missions ive done had a pretty fleshed out story. Not a simple fetch quest
Hogwarts is another fantastic game.. Glad it is doing well
Re: Huge Final Fantasy 16 Update as Patch 1.10 Adds Outfits, Weapon Skins, Gameplay Changes; Two DLCs Now in Development
Fantastic news. Any new story DLC is Day 1.
Loved FFXVI, anything they make that brings me back to the world and characters - I'll take.
Make the PC port SteamDeck verified, and I'll double dip.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 492
1. Armored Core 6 (PS5)
2. Starfield (PC Gamepass)
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for September and October 2023
Armored Core 6 (PS5) > StarField (PC) > Lies of P (PC) > SpiderMan 2 (PS5)
Some PC/PS5 tag team... Good times.
Re: PS5's Remote Play Handheld PS Portal Releases on 15th November
Chiaki is not great on Steamdeck (screen goes blank randomly)
I'll probably just get it. Wait until Bestbuy has it, I am sitting on tons of rewards points.
But I really would just want to use my Steamdeck for everything at this point. Rather Sony Just update the Windows app with SteamDeck support.
Re: PS5, PS4 Owners Are Understandably Irate with PS Plus Price Hike
Never pay full price for a year of PS+ (Or GamePass)
Wait and see what the CDKeys sales look like during the holidays. Take it from there.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Armored Core 6?
Easily high 8. Boss fights and tinkering are great . If a Mech fan, this is a dream come true.
