Re: How to Transfer Data from PS5 to PS5 Pro

Atreus97

Also found it impossible to do the data transfer. My old 'fat' PS5 is usually wired but I connected it and my Pro to the same WiFi, with them connected via ethernet to each other.

The transfer wouldn't work on 3 attempts, despite my download/upload speed being 700mbps+.
In the end I just transferred everything apart from installed games/apps which worked. Re-downloaded my games/apps when back on ethernet and job done.

From how what you're wearing impacts your visibility depending on the weather or environment, to how loud your movement is depending on your speed or the weather.
Or how the enemy adapts to your tactics by wearing more night vision goggles if you always attack at night. Plenty of more mechanics which are really cool.

It's not perfect, but dude it is miles ahead of 'Star Wars Outlaws'

At one point I was so buying this game. Then all the trailers looked progressively worse which put me off.

Right now, I'm playing MGSV for the first time and the stealth mechanics are incredible. I can't go from that level of stealth to what I've seen in Outlaws, no matter how many bugs they squash.

Considering how many songs Rockstar need for this game, I'm genuinely curious about what people think would be a more reasonable offer?

Google says there were 441 songs in GTA 5. Let's assume this game is bigger and they go for 500 songs. Multiply that by 7500 and you've got $3.75m as an assumed total music budget.

In that context, I reckon Rockstar could afford to quadruple the offer for every song, bringing the fee to $30k and total budget to $15m and they'd STILL make their money back within 2 literal minutes of the release.

$30k is probably still gonna piss artists off though. So what's a reasonable solution?

I love Arkham Knight to death. It was a true labour of love from Rocksteady. You can tell it was made by people who had both the talent and passion for the material and that reflected on the end product.

Not having a high quality boss fight was unforgivable, though. They must've ran out of time because it is inexplicable. That is the one and only fault the game has in my eyes.

Anyway, it's so sad to see what has become of the studio.

For a site full of 'hardcore' Sony fans, it's shocking how few of you actually get it.

The single player games we all love are taking longer and costing more than ever to make.

If we want Sony to keep churning them out while hitting our quality demands, games like these NEED to succeed because they have the potential to generate enormous profits.

Jim Ryan gets a lot of heat in these parts but he identified the problem and offered a solution. Sony needs more live service games in order to continue to develop high quality single player games. It's as simple as that.

Re: PS5 Is Sony's Most Profitable Console Generation to Date

"In the four years PS5 has been on the market, it’s amassed $10 billion in operating income, more than the $9 billion PS4 managed between 2013 to 2019."

Having looked at the presentation, I don't believe these figures are adjusted for inflation. Sure, 2013-2019 wasn't that long ago but I think inflation will eat into the $1bn difference between the PS4 period and the PS5 period.

Live service games aren't going anywhere. They make too much money; money that Sony will need to keep investing in our beloved, but increasingly expensive single player games.
