I'm glad I was able to vouch for Nine Sols! It's a game I expected to be a regular Metroidvania but was pleasantly blown away by how good it was.

I'm looking to grind more super credits to try and nab the rest of the Killzone content in Helldivers 2.

Then I'll either continue Lies of P or finally play some Marvel Rivals.

Demo is a really smart idea. I've had my eye on the game for a long time and now I can finally give it a try.

I have to work on Christmas Eve but Christmas Day is open so I'll likely be playing more Helldivers 2 or continue Lies of P.

It's such an odd addition but I guess I shouldn't really be surprised

I did some grinding with a friend last night to gather a bunch of super credits so I can afford the helmet and the rifle. Now that Arrowhead extended the time and added the second set for free, I can get the rest of the first wave.

I liked Cerny's PS5 deep dive video from a few years back and I'll definitely listen to this one.

I've played around with the characters in the practice range but haven't played a match yet, but I'm glad the game is successful. It really reminds me of 2016 Overwatch.

Okay now that is an awesome crossover.

I had a laugh seeing Clive in Tekken 8 until I realized he's not that out of place since Noctis was in 7.

Also I would've loved to see Tifa instead of Clive but I can understand why he was picked over her, since FF16 is the newest numbered entry in the series.

The game hasn't even been revealed for a week and it's receiving literal garbage truck load of unwarranted hate. And why? Cause of the protagonist's lack of hair, or does it still stem from people being salty about Last of Us 2's story?

Whatever it is, people are so pathetic. It's a video game, if you don't like the way a character's hair (or lack thereof) looks, then don't play it. There's thousands upon thousands of other games.

I like it, it's a fun little mode to add variety to the game.

I find it really strange how people get so upset about stuff like this.

I always like it when games do updates like this, makes the holidays that much better.

I'm pretty excited for it, it sounds like such a blast to play. Kinda reminds me of the Side Order DLC Splat 3 had back in February, introducing a roguelike game mode to the series.

Man, that is some extreme salt. There's so many games released in a year and only a small handful get nominated at the Game Awards, and even less winning a single award.

I love Okami so I'm still shocked we're getting a sequel after all these years. I never expected it.

I have yet to play FF7 Rebirth since I'm waiting for the PC release.

Unpacking was actually really addicting once I started playing it, I binged it and finished it in one sitting.

I'll keep an eye on this game cause it looks nice.

Astro Bot definitely deserves the GotY award, it has so much charm and is a blast to play.

It's exciting to see a new ip from Naughty Dog, it's been quite a while for them.

I never got around to playing it on either PS4 or PS5 so I'll finally get around to it on PC.

The announcements were really, really great. A lot of really cool announcements that make me really hyped.

I'm really interested to see more of this.

I've moved over to digital a while ago and it's just so much more convenient, and it saves space on my shelf.

Really happy to see Dragon Kart back, it was a legit fun little kart racer in 7.

I never heard of this but I'm definitely interested, and I see Steam has a demo available, so I'll have to give that a download and try.

Not sure yet. I like the reveals and announcements but that's generally it.

The way the character's fight and move really gives me Killer Instinct vibes.

I really like the look of the level. Perfectly Christmas-y.

I know mine is going to be Stellar Blade when it released and Astro Bot when it released and that's it.

I have yet to try the game in VR but it definitely nails the eerie liminal feel, even in flat screen gaming.

@Dodoo No kidding lol. GTA V still appearing in the Top 10 sale charts 11 years after the game's initial release is bonkers.

I get GTA 6 is a hotly anticipated game, but not every person on the planet is going to go buy it day one. You're still going to have other games that will release around that time and not be affected, especially if it comes to consoles first and PC later.

You'll also have people that won't buy the game and watch their favorite streamer play it instead.

I never played any of the Soul Reaver games so this remaster is perfect.

@LikelySatan It's all good. I've played quite a bit of TF2 on the PS3 with a friend cause it was the only way he could play due to him only having a PS3 and no PC. Funny enough, I still have my PS3 copy of the game.

Really curious to see what they have planned. I finally played, and finished, the game at the beginning of the year and had a blast. I'm just waiting to get around to playing the expansion.

@LikelySatan I never once brought up the PC to console comparison, that's not even what the article was about.

Also TF2 had a console port via Orange Box the same year it released on Steam.

Overwatch was great when it released but it's a shell of it's former self now. Also I agree with other comments, TF2 had Overwatch beat by almost a decade.

Activision rakes in money in the billions every year and can't pay an artist to design some concept art.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

I've been playing River City Girls 2 lately. It's a really fun sequel, I enjoyed the first game.

Also doing some Helldivers 2 and maybe some TF2 or maybe try out Marvel Rivals.

For a second, I thought the game was running on Blizzard's servers, cause every time they release a game, there's always server issues lol.

Jokes aside, I hope the game is good and it sounds like it'll be a big success for the devs.

I watched a stream of the game last night and it looks like a really fun time. Very video game-y which is definitely not a bad thing. I'll definitely get the game.

Gotta admit, the lighting in that last comparison shot looks really good

I appreciate it when games have a type of unlockable progression pass that doesn't dissappear after a set amount of time. Helps to not feed into fomo.
Splatoon 3 has the seasonal catalog that only lasts three months before changing and I don't like how you miss out on stuff if you don't complete it in a set time.

I would've tried it if it came to Steam, but I knew this game wouldn't last. It just doesn't have the appeal like Splatoon.

Foamstars couldn't even last a year and Splatoon is nearing it's 10th Anniversary.

I usually don't play gacha games but I do like how this looks.

I get what Layden is saying when it comes to the tech leap between console generations. The leap between PS4 and PS5 isn't as substantial as the other console jumps. I know the PS5 Pro helps show it more, but it's still not super crazy.

But consoles will still stay relevant due to the accessibility they present to players. I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.

I really liked the beta and I'm hoping we get another beta before release.
