I see this as more Sony trying to beef up their entertainment division rather then just acquiring FromSoft. But I have a feeling FromSoft won't really change what they're doing if the acquisition does go through.
I'm playing through Dark Souls 3 and honestly it doesn't need a remaster, the game still holds up really well. I feel like 2 could use a remaster then 3.
Honestly we need a remaster of Bloodborne and Demon's Souls Remake on PC.
I always look at GotY as "new game releases of the year" which DLC and Expansions don't fall under that. They're just that, expanding the content of a game that's already released.
Witcher 3's Blood and Wine DLC should've been nominated the year it released then.
I remember a lot of the older jrpgs being pretty unforgiving and having difficulty spikes, I think it's the reason I always anticipate the spikes when I play jrpgs.
I'm surprised the Pro options weren't just added in with the original graphic options for every game. Really weird for some devs to just outright remove them.
Shadow of the Erdtree is a good expansion, that's for sure, but I don't personally think DLC's should really qualify for GotY, especially when the game released a few years prior.
Half-Life 2 is still an absolutely fantastic game. Even the PS3 version of the games is a fun time. I was just playing a bit of Episode 1 on PC tonight and it's still so good.
I'm perfectly happy with my launch OG PS5. If I still used my PS5 as my main gaming device, I'd very likely get the Pro, but I just recently built a new PC so it's not 100% for me.
Gotta give Sega some credit for releasing new content to the game. I highly doubt Nintendo will release new content for Jamobree since they never touched Superstars after release.
Capcom has to do a lot of polishing on the game in the next few months to iron out the performance. Like I've said before, on the PC side, it drops frames like mad in the main camp with a lot of players.
@Fishnpeas Yeah, I have yet to try 7 Remake on PC, but I played it on PS4 on release. I have no doubt my PC will be able to handle Rebirth when it finally comes over to PC.
I feel it's more or less baked into the engine so it's something that will always be a problem, and likely an issue leading into part 3 unless Square decides to fix it, which is possible.
I think the ai-upscaler is what helped Wilds beta run good on my PC with my RTX card at high settings, so it can definitely help on console, especially when the console is completely dedicated to it.
Kind of a strange comparison since this is just a remaster/$10 upgrade for a game already on Steam, so the only people that are going to get it day 1 are owners of the original getting it for the upgrade. Anyone else will wait for a sale.
I played some of the MH Wild beta last night with a friend through crossplay. The camp with all of the players causes frame drops and a few crashes while in battle, otherwise it runs pretty decent on PC.
It is an interesting twist on the Among Us formula and Death Note definitely works. I don't have interest in playing it but hopefully it's fun for those that are interested.

Kinda surreal seeing it again all these years later lol

The way things are going in the industry for devs, they should be treated better.

Re: Stellar Blade Will Spread Its Wings to PC in 2025
Definitely going to play through the game again on PC, the game is a ton of fun.
Also I feel the game should run pretty good on the Steam Deck.

It's kinda wild to think about Fortnite being around for 7 years already, it still feels like a relatively new release
Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations Producer Wants to Remake the Worst Game in the Series for PS5
The story is kind of a massive mess that can't really be saved, but the gameplay can be fixed though.
Re: It's No Jamboree, But a New Board Should Bring You Back to PS5, PS4's Only Mario Party Alternative
Gotta give Sega some credit for releasing new content to the game. I highly doubt Nintendo will release new content for Jamobree since they never touched Superstars after release.

Okay, I may get the Sly and Ratchet figures.

Re: NieR: Automata's Weird and Wonderful World Invades PS5 Hit Stellar Blade this Month
Genuinely love the game, it was such a blast to play. I'll have to hop back in to get the Nier stuff.
Can't wait for Shift Up to announce a possible pc port in the future. Playing this with native ultrawide would be really nice.

It's cool to hear about him being in the next season.
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Getting a Surprisingly Huge Marketing Push
Honestly, this trailer feels really old school LittleBigPlanet and I'm all for it.
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Dev 'Heartbroken' by Passing of Venom Voice Actor

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 554
Likely keep playing Dark Souls 3. I'm having a ton of fun with it.

Re: Out Today: PS5 Pro, the Most Powerful Console Ever
I didn't get a Pro in the mail but a new PC case and some new parts in anticipation of me building a new PC on Friday.
Look, it's not a Pro but it's still new tech for me lmao.
Anyways, hope everyone enjoys the Pro consoles they receive.
Re: Stellar Blade a 'Gigantic Leap' on PS5 Pro, PSSR Better Than Native 4K Option
I think the ai-upscaler is what helped Wilds beta run good on my PC with my RTX card at high settings, so it can definitely help on console, especially when the console is completely dedicated to it.
Re: Round Up: PS5 Pro Reviews Love New Tech and Its Glimpse of PS6 Potential
It's a cool midgen refresh with the tech it has, just really expensive for a console.
Re: Fans Work Out Why Monster Hunter Wilds Feels So Weird and Weightless in PS5 Beta
I was wondering why it felt like the hits had no weight behind the swings, I guess that explains it.
I had the game hard crash twice for me during the beta, both while fighting monsters. I know it's a beta but hopefully it's ironed out.
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans

Re: Fortnite's About to Make a Fortune by Flogging Freakin' Footwear
Soon we'll come full circle and you'll have to pay V-Bucks just to play the game, just like quarters in arcade machines back in the old days.

Really weird for them to target Sony when Microsoft has been closing studios as well.
Re: Wolverine PS5 Lead Dev Leaves for Xbox's Perfect Dark Team
The game will be fine, if Smith is the one with directorial roles for the first Spidey and Rift Apart, Wolverine will turn out alright.
Re: Random: Suda51 Claims to Have Met Mysterious Sales Maestro, Wario64
I've been following Wario64 for ages. I never expected an article to pop up about them lol, but I'm not complaining.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta?
I have a friend that's playing the PS Plus beta and he's having a ton of fun with it. I plan on playing it once the Open Beta is out on PC.
Re: Monster Hunter Wilds' Beta Is Prompting Fans to Reconsider PS5 Pro
I'm curious to try it on PC in a few days, but it does look pretty rough. I know it's a beta, but still, Capcom should have a bit more effort in it.
Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard (PS5) - The Best BioWare Game Since Mass Effect 3
I haven't played a Dragon Age game since Origins so I may pick this up in the future.
Re: Xbox Fans Really Want a Port of PS5, PC Hit Helldivers 2
I could see it, and since the game is crossplay, why not since it allows more players to play together.
