I think it really boils down to Square not wanting to give Team Asobi the go ahead on using their IPs as cameos, and they don't want to throw Square under the bus.
I agree, some of the changes they have to implement in the game is ridiculous, especially when it comes to a remake of a game that released way way back.
I beat the game a few months ago, it's absolutely fantastic. Probably one of my favorite Metroidvanias, beating out Hollow Knight and Metroid Fusion on my list.
Funny haha jokes aside, I'm actually glad they patched this. It's kinda funny to see Eve's hair react to the wind but her clothing stayed motionless. Game is great and I can't wait to see what the Nier crossover DLC brings to the table.
When Phil Spencer played Sly Cooper and Bentley said to "jump and press the circle button" he scratched his head and said that is where the B button should be
That's cool and all but it feels like Last of Us 1 and 2 are all we've been hearing from Naughty Dog for the last 4 years. We're hungry for something different from ND.
I still love the Nier Automata t-shirt promo where he messed with the Square employee and rolled on the floor repeating Nier Automata T-shirt before saying S&#t Square Enix lmao.
Ghost of Yotei made it worth it. Happy that we're getting the Stellar Blade x Nier Automata crossover and it's cool that we're getting the some more bots in Astro Bot and the Soul Reaver leak being real.
Really hoping the Stellar Blade update is the photo mode and PC date.
Edit: I also notice that Days Gone isn't on that list, I wonder if that lends less credit to the leak of a Days Gone Remaster?
Guess we'll see in a few hours.
While I get where Sammy is coming from with the combat being a little complex for newcomers to these sort of games, with multiple button presses for attacks etc, that's the biggest highlight to me. A game that's accessible to a wide range of players, but with a high skill ceiling. I always felt Xenoverse and Kakarot's combat were really shallow in what you get from them, but I always remember BT3 having a lot of depth to it once you got the hang of it.
The new content looks good, but I do remember commenting last year about how it's better to wait on getting the game until we get a more complete edition. It's the usual NetherRealm Studio quota.
I saw a post of the actual numbers, and if that's the resolution the console can handle at 60fps for Alan Wake 2, that's really disappointing. It's like playing the game with vaseline covering the screen.
Really curious to see if these numbers hold up or not
Nine Sols, a game that released last spring and is at the front for my GotY, is sitting at a 83 on Metacritic. Another Crab's Treasure, which is right there with Nine Sols for GotY, is sitting at a 78 on Metacritic. Both of these games are sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam.
It shows that the Meta score doesn't always tell the full story for a game.

Re: PS5 Fans Want to Protest Against New User Interface Advertising
Advertising new events or updates in the specific game a person is highlighting I can totally understand
But advertising for stuff that's unrelated or the usual senseless ad that nobody likes, that is where it goes into ridiculous territory.
Re: 'Difficult to Comment' on Astro Bot's Square Enix Snub, Says Team Asobi
I think it really boils down to Square not wanting to give Team Asobi the go ahead on using their IPs as cameos, and they don't want to throw Square under the bus.
Re: PS5 Firmware Update Annoys with Unwanted Deluge of Ads, News Feed
Lovely, just what a person wants, more ads.
Re: Dragon Quest Veterans on Dealing with 'Ridiculous Country' USA Amid Censorship Row

Re: Fans Appear to Be Coming Around to PS5 Pro
Nah, I have zero interest in the Pro, but more power to everyone that gets one though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 548
Likely continue my adventure in Dark Souls Remastered.
Re: Gorgeous Metroidvania Nine Sols Will Ease the Wait for Silksong on PS5, PS4 in November

Re: Slitterhead Is the Siren Successor for PS5, PS4 You've Been Craving
I really like Toyama's games so I definitely want to get this.

Re: Over 10 Hours of Horizon Zero Dawn Dialogue Has Been Re-Recorded for PS5, PC
The biggest thing that bothered me about the first Horizon is how weird the face mocap was.
Re: Talking Point: What Was Your Favourite PS5 Game from State of Play September 2024?
Ghost, Stellar Blade dlc collab and a tie between Monster Hunter Wilds and the Soul Reaver remaster.
Re: The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 Will Both Look and Perform Better than Ever on PS5 Pro

Re: Stellar Blade's NieR: Automata Collab Only Happening Because Yoko Taro Loves Money
Yoko Taro is a pretty goofy dude lol.

Re: RPG Fans Rejoice! Metaphor: ReFantazio Demo Out Now PS5, PS4
@jrt87 Dang. I'll have to try it and see how it runs on my rig.
Re: RPG Fans Rejoice! Metaphor: ReFantazio Demo Out Now PS5, PS4
Good lord the demo on Steam is 58gb. But I'll definitely download it and give it a shot.
Re: Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 Pro Is 'Pure Eye Candy at Race Car Levels of Performance'
Forbidden West looked fantastic on PS5. The art direction and environments were top notch.
Looked even better when I played some of the expansion on PC.
Re: PS5's Ghost of Yotei Triggers Social Media, Ex-Sony Exec Says 'If You Don't Like It, Don't Buy It'
I'm really excited for a sequel, and a woman samurai as the lead protagonist is something I'm all for.
Also seeing so many people complain about this kind of stuff is just so exhausting nowadays. People complain about everything.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed on PS5 Until 14th February
Don't blame Ubi for delaying it to give it more polish. I'm honestly excited for it since I love samurai settings.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Is the Ghost of Tsushima Sequel We Needed, Slashing to PS5 in 2025
I am incredibly hyped for this. I love love love Ghost of Tsushima, so this is perfect. Can't wait.
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered PS5 Is Official, Out 31st October with $10 PS4 to PS5 Upgrade
Honestly I'll take this over a Days Gone Remaster. Especially since Days Gone is still a visually pleasing game, even for 2024.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Sony's State of Play for September 2024?
Ghost of Yotei made it worth it. Happy that we're getting the Stellar Blade x Nier Automata crossover and it's cool that we're getting the some more bots in Astro Bot and the Soul Reaver leak being real.
Re: Sony Appears to Leak Many Games from State of Play
I assume a lot of these are for PS5 Pro updates.
Really hoping the Stellar Blade update is the photo mode and PC date.

Guess we'll see in a few hours.
Re: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Leaks for PS5, PS4
Really cool to see Soul Reaver get a remaster, and similar to the Tomb Raider releases.
Re: State of Play Confirmed for Tomorrow, 20+ PS5, PSVR2 Games Included
Hoping for a date on the Stellar Blade PC port, and still holding out hope for a potential PS5/PC port for Gravity Rush 2.
Also hoping for more stuff on Death Stranding 2 and maybe a release date for MGS Delta
Re: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (PS5) - Substantial Updates Paint Over Flaws of Beloved Platformer
I tried the demo, having never played the original, and I could tell the game has a bit of clunkiness to it.
The intro cutscene was beautiful though
Re: Rumour: PS6 Could Span a Console and Handheld Device
A portable PS6 device would be cool, but I'm perfectly fine with my Switch and Steam Deck for my portable gaming needs.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 547
Likely continue the zombie bashing fun in the Dead Rising Remaster.
A friend wants me to finally buy Helldivers 2 so I may do that
Re: Rumour: Concord Cost $400 Million, Sony Believed It Was the 'Future of PlayStation'
This is insane.
That's so much money to pump into a game, and the lack of any criticism within the dev team is just a setup for disaster.
Re: The Novelty of PlayStation's PC Ports Does Appear to Be Dampening
They need to start releasing games on both platforms at the same time, not way down the line.
Re: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Might Be the Series' Most Insane Game Yet, Sailing to PS5, PS4 in February
I am all for this. A Majima game that's PIRATE THEMED?
Yes please and thank you RGG
Re: Rumour: Days Gone PS5 Remaster Speculation Starts to Spread
The game looks and runs just fine on PC so a remaster of this is even less needed then a remaster of Horizon.
Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Lets You Reduce Puzzle Hints, Option Also Coming to PS5, PS4 Soon
Should have been in the game when it originally launched on PS5.
Thing is, if Santa Monica didn't add it into the PC release, modders would have done it themselves. They did it with Aloy in both Horizon PC releases.
Re: Preview: PS5's Sparking! Zero Feels Like Dragon Ball Z, But You May Need Super Saiyan Reflexes
Really excited.

Re: Sony Priming 'Even Less Exciting' PS5 Remaster for State of Play
I genuinely want Gravity Rush 1 and 2 on PC so bad. I know Bloodborne won't be, but I want Gravity Rush.
Re: Mini Review: Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP (PS5) - A Sweet Return with a Bittersweet Bite
Definitely want to get this since I played it wayyyy back on the PS3, but I'll wait until a Steam Sale.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5, PC Remaster Is Very Much the Real Deal
Quite an odd remaster since the game already looks great on both PS5 and PC.
Re: Vince Zampella Defends PS5 Pro Price, Says 'It's Actually Not That Bad'
I mean, the guy could sleep on a bed made out of PS5 Pro's and see no dent in the amount of money he has.
Re: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (PS5) - Capcom Classic Still Shines 18 Years Later
The OG Frank West voice is still so good. Iconic even.
I'm still really excited for this, I always had a soft spot for the original Dead Rising.
Re: Yoshi-P Pleads for Modder Restraint Ahead of Final Fantasy 16 PC Launch
Look, if I want Sid to run around with a thong and his dong flopping out, that's my business Yoshida! Stay in your lane buddy!
Jokes aside, I do find a producer saying this hilarious. Look at all of the Resident Evil mods, they're really goofy and funny.
Re: The Game Awards Host Geoff Keighley and Parody Site Hard Drive Are Beefing
Hard Drive's posts are pretty good, it's all satirical that pokes fun at whatever is in the news cycle at the moment.
Re: PS5 Pro Shows Real Promise in First Expert Analysis
The ai and RT tech are the most interesting new stuff in the Pro. Curious to see how it's implemented into games.

Really curious to see if these numbers hold up or not
Re: Blizzard Reportedly Made $150 Million in Diablo 4 Microtransactions
They made the budget of Concord back in microtransactions. Crazy.
I may play Diablo 4 some day, I liked 3 and I remember my brother playing a bit of 2 back in the day.
Re: Suda 51 Says 'Everyone Cares Too Much About Metacritic Scores'
It's true
Nine Sols, a game that released last spring and is at the front for my GotY, is sitting at a 83 on Metacritic.
Another Crab's Treasure, which is right there with Nine Sols for GotY, is sitting at a 78 on Metacritic.
Both of these games are sitting at Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam.

Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 27
8/10. I didn't play Inquisition and the Quantum Theory pic threw me off lol
Re: Mini Review: Funko Fusion (PS5) - Bland, Cryptic Nostalgia Bait Lacks LEGO's Charm
I had a feeling this game wouldn't be that great, regardless of the Funkos representation
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 546
Playing quite a bit of the Grand Fest in Splat 3, but once that's finished, I'll see if I can finish Crypt Custodian.
Re: Tony Hawk Teases He and Activision Are 'Working on Something' as Series Turns 25
The 1+2 remake were fantastic, so I'm really hoping this leads to a possible 3+4 remake or a new entry in the series.
Just hope it's good like 1+2 remake and not terrible like some of the games.
