@Gewertzx You can assign bot companions in hunts that are too difficult to do solo if you don't want to play with other players. This is still a singleplayer game with optional multiplayer co-op.
Honestly it doesn't really need DLC. I know a lot of people are disappointed by that, which I understand, but I wouldn't say the game is "the most disappointing release."
I agree with a few other commenters, I do wish Insomniac would go back to focusing on non-Marvel titles. Spidey 1, 2 and Miles Morales are fun games, don't get me wrong, but they're kinda stuck as the Marvel game studio for the foreseeable future, which is disappointing.
I have no doubt a Venom spinoff and the Wolverine games will be good, but I do wish for another Ratchet and maybe a new wacky, zany ip from Insomniac.
@Deoxyr1bose As someone that decided to go PC as my main gaming platform a year or so ago, after having it always be my second option for 16 years, do it.
You can get games on sale much cheaper through a lot of other sites like Humble and Fanatical, who also offer bundles. No extra sub charge for online, no waiting on some indie games to have a console release. Mods that both allow a game to run better and add fun/qol options to a game. Higher array of vr games, and mods to add vr into games that otherwise don't have it. Steam offers a lot of demos and even has Steam Next Fest with a whole slew of demos for upcoming indie games.
I could go on but in 2024, I just feel PC is a better bang for your buck. I use my PS5 for exclusives that I want to play Day One and play my PS4 library but that's essentially it.
The game looked great on the base PS5. I played a little bit of the PC port a few months ago and it looks great there as well. I feel it's more props to Insmoniac for being able to have the game just look so good with the art direction.
A friend's brother streamed this game in the Discord vc for a bit a few nights ago, and while I can see the similarities it has to something like WoW or Guild Wars, it definitely looks a bit rough around the edges in places.
The thing is, the type of game like Until Dawn isn't going to appeal to a lot of players, that mixed with the game originally releasing 9 years ago and being full priced, it's going to release with low concurrent player numbers.
The poor performance of the port doesn't help things either. Helldivers 2 released simultaneously on PC and PS5 and the game was really popular, despite it not having a true single-player campaign. Two different games to compare but releasing games on both platforms day one helps with sales and player count.
I liked what I played in the demo, and the game seemed to run pretty decently on my PC, but I'll definitely wait on getting it since there's so much releasing at this time.
I remember Valve doing something similar to this when the Oled Steam Decks released. Only accounts that were made over 30 days and had a few purchased games could buy a Steam Deck.
I think it really boils down to Square not wanting to give Team Asobi the go ahead on using their IPs as cameos, and they don't want to throw Square under the bus.
I agree, some of the changes they have to implement in the game is ridiculous, especially when it comes to a remake of a game that released way way back.
I beat the game a few months ago, it's absolutely fantastic. Probably one of my favorite Metroidvanias, beating out Hollow Knight and Metroid Fusion on my list.

Curious to see what happens.
Re: Poll: One Year Later, How Would You Rate Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5?
I'd give the game a pretty solid 8. Story wasn't as good as the first game and some of the side content varied.
Re: Some Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Fans Are Furious It's Not Getting DLC
Honestly it doesn't really need DLC. I know a lot of people are disappointed by that, which I understand, but I wouldn't say the game is "the most disappointing release."
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 551
I should be able to finish Silent Hill 2 this weekend. I'm at the final area.
Then it's either play some of the Halloween event in TF2 or finally get around to firing up and playing Helldivers 2.

Re: LittleBigPlanet 3 Will Be Taken Off PS Store on 31st October
Shame to see it go, the series offered a ton of fun. LBP3 really had it rough with the constant server hacking.

Re: Atlus Fans Don't Think Xbox's Marketing Is Doing Metaphor: ReFantazio Justice

Re: PS5 Fans Want to Protest Against New User Interface Advertising
Advertising new events or updates in the specific game a person is highlighting I can totally understand
But advertising for stuff that's unrelated or the usual senseless ad that nobody likes, that is where it goes into ridiculous territory.
