I've parked my GTA San Andreas playthrough for the time being, since it's leaving Plus. I've picked up Eiyuden Chronicle again and I'm enjoying refamiliarising myself with it.
Also Wo Long and the Dark Souls run continue in the background
Thing is, this isn't going to change much. Those of us who buy a Pro aren't buying it to play Bloodborne. Those of us who aren't convinced will remain so.
And those us who pray for a Bloodborne remaster will continue to weep into our Lady Maria-themed mugs every morning over breakfast at the lastest kick in the teeth.
Only Ubisoft could get in trouble for referencing a disaster that didn't happen until centuries after the game's setting. I'm surprised they've not made a statue of Desmond legging it around Pearl Harbour
@get2sammyb The thumbnail on your article clearly shows the problem - that looks like one of the PS5 Pros has escaped. How many more have Argos accidentally let loose?
@Northern_munkey I've only played Man of Medan and it was fun. The general consensus seems to be that it's the worst one so I don't think you can go wrong really
Great interview. Nice to hear them mention the single player campaign as the main mode, and the multiplayer as a "side dish". That's how I've always thought of it, but that's sadly a less fashionable view these days.
I'll pick this up at some point, it seems worth supporting.
@ApostateMage Fallout 76 did the same thing, I think they brought it in with a later update, not sure if it was before or after Starfield did it. Made me up my photo game massively
It's not going to sell bucketloads though is it? It's a mid-gen upgrade aimed at those who put a lot of stock in graphics. The average consumer is hardly going to be tripping over themselves to grab one in Asda.
I'm one of those Pro naysayers, but I don't think slow sales necessarily reflect badly on it. For me, the verdict will be at the end of this console gen. If there has been enough new releases (not just remasters) to fully show off what it can do, then it will have been worthwhile for those who get one.
@Medic_alert Imagine the character arc. The inner turmoil, the confliction. He resents the fact that he is a man and yet he also despises the powerful female character that he knows he should be. It'll win Oscars and the internet won't know whether it loves it or hates it.
Not sure what definition of the word 'investment' they're running with here. It's no doubt a good bit of kit and I think they're trying to argue it's good value for the asking price. But a "really good investment" it is not. Especially at the midpoint of a console generation.
Ironically, it's also just been announced that Girlboss Narrative Man is being replaced by a female character in the remake. This guy is going to be furious.
Sony wouldn't have wanted this to slip out this week, not in the wake of the negative reaction to the PS5 Pro pricing. But realistically this is a way off. We're now feeling the slump off the back of Covid, hopefully things will have picked up by the time PS6 rolls around
I mean yeah it's clearly a ten. If I'm being honest it probably hasn't had the same impact on me as Astro's Playroom, that completely blew me away. But it's still a ten.
The question is - where do you draw the line? It's not just 700 quid. If I want to utilise my library of disc games then I'll need a drive. Then there's my Plus subscription which is due for renewal soon. 100 quid for the year. Before you know it, you've spent a grand on gaming, something that is merely a hobby. At what point do you start to ask whether it's truly worth it?

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for November 2024?
I've been assuring my youngest for months that Hot Wheels 2 will pop up on Plus. Relief is my main emotion
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 553
The Crew Motorfest, Dark Souls 1 and GTA San Andreas. Enjoying all three immensely, and I might start Wo Long this weekend as well
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 552
Bought The Crew Motorfest on a whim after my youngest kept mithering to get it. It's ace
Re: Sniper Elite: Resistance Gets 2025 Off to a Flyer with January Release Date
My mate and I always play through these in co-op, this will be mo different. Always guaranteed a laugh.
The big question though, where is Karl Fairburne? Is this the series' Raiden/Snake moment??

Re: WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers May Be Another PS5 Soulslike, But At Least It Looks Decent
I can see why people might be tiring of them, but for me they've been one of the best things about this gen

Yes I've been using it to remind me how good the PS4's UI was

Continuing the Demon's Souls and Bloodborne double header. HURT ME MORE
Re: Love Classic Lara Croft? Play the Crap Tomb Raider Trilogy on PS5, PS4
@nessisonett I thought there hadn't been enough love for the Phantom Menace on here recently. Yeah big loss, I thought he'd just gone quiet
Re: Love Classic Lara Croft? Play the Crap Tomb Raider Trilogy on PS5, PS4
@nessisonett I didn't realise Rog had gone, damn
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Silent Hill 2?
Loved the original and I'll certainly give this a look at some point. Just started Bloodborne again recently, so that's enough stress for now
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 549
Alternating between Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. For some reason. Never liked my sanity much anyway.

Either this is not a realistic holiday simulator, or I've been conned.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 547
Not chased a platinum for over a year, but I'm considering it with Astro, just as an excuse to keep playing.
Then it's back to Cult of the Lamb and maybe, just maybe, thinking about a new Bloodborne run. Only played it through once.
