Re: Sony Comments on Concord Disaster, Says Game Should Have Been Tested Earlier

Or here’s an absurd idea… show the game to your buyers sooner. The art direction was roasted the moment everyone saw it and you likely would have seen the writing on the wall if anyone knew anything about the game. We didn’t even know what kind of live service this was until way too close to release.

Whether Sony likes it or not they’re in sales and these days people clearly aren’t going to blindly buy whatever you’re making. You need to SELL it first.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Silent Hill 2?

Loved every second of this game. Between this and Wukong the last few months have been insane. Can’t wait to start Metphor and Dragon Age, this year really turned it around after some dead zones.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Sales Over 20 Million In a Month, Entering GOAT Territory

Just finished this 100% today. GOTY hands down these devs did an excellent job across the board. Long without being repetitive, tons of enemy variety, everything you do is rewarding etc. on top of maybe the best combat system of this generation.

The story is so muddy at this point but hopefully the team aren’t weirdos because the future is extremely bright for these guys.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Another Game Over 100GB on PS5

@nessisonett I agree totally bonkers, I thought it was debunked too but now a bunch more people coming out. I think it MAY be fear of retribution on the developers part but definitely need to see how this plays out. The “feminist propaganda” is especially strange…

Re: Site News: Where's Our Black Myth: Wukong PS5 Review?

Already seeing massive technical issues with this game. And these are from people using fully kitted rig PC’s that could handle anything.

Very excited for this game but I think it’s safe to say this is likely a cyberpunk situation, wait a few months before purchasing.

Re: Broken, Battered Elden Ring Players Review Bomb Shadow of the Erdtree for Being Too Hard

This is extremely weird. It’s like buying a Slayer album and being pissed it doesn’t sound like The Beatles can’t understand the arguments I’ve read.

Been playing for about 15 hours total since Friday and I wouldn’t say this is on the level of old hunters or ringed city plus you still have mimic tear just stop. For the record I have 2 kids and get maybe 25 hours a week to game late nights. I’m no expert.

Re: Star Wars Outlaws Has a Meaty 30-Hour Main Story

Thank god Ubi is getting the message with an IP this big. 200 hours is such a massive commitment for many adults these days and I know I sure as hell don’t have the time.

Hope this turns out good, people I trust have liked it but obviously there’s plenty of others who didn’t. Someone outside of respawn needs to help save Star Wars.

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Feel About the PS5 Pro?

I really don’t feel like the base PS5 is that far behind in the tech department. We all know for damn sure it’s not as far behind as the PS4 was at this point in the generation.

Devs (like maybe capcom) need to work on optimizing their games for current hardware now that we finally slowed down shipping every imaginable title to the last generation. If a game like Dogma shipped 6 months from now I can’t imagine anyone would have cared enough to not buy it.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Celebrates 30th Anniversary, Gives a Small Update on TES 6

I agree with a lot of people on here, played Starfield and after they supposedly put everything they had into that… I think they’re a dated developer.

If that was supposed to be the next step forward I think the industry has passed them by and we’re talking about a relic game when it launches. They would need an entirely new engine just to start improving.

Re: Borderlands Dev Set to Join Saber in Leaving Embracer Group

This would be a smart (and likely cheap) investment for someone like Sony. Borderlands still has tons of potential and name recognition but has definitely gotten stale over the last few entries.

Someone like Sony could make those games for far less money than say a god of war or last of us style production and use some outside talent to help change up the formula.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want from Sony and PlayStation in 2024?

@ShogunRok GREAT article man this was super well written. Agree with every single point.

Here’s hoping the next CEO takes a page out of Laydens book. He wasn’t perfect but there was so much transparency and we actually got what we wanted a lot of the time, that was pivotal in building them into the giant they are now. I think almost everything else on the list will come with that.
