Re: Analyst Says Dragon Age: The Veilguard Had a Good, But Not a Great Launch

As someone who actually played around 30 hours of the game so far, the controversy surrounding it is way overblown. I thought it would be much worse. It's still not good and there is definitely some small stuff I don't like (like black elves, everyone bi, one of the companions missing a leg, no big tits slider xD), but overall so far nothing that made me delete the game. And I delete games pretty quickly^^

Really like the approach with different trophy sets. More dev teams should do this. This adds replayability and can incentivise you to play certain games completely differently. There is a ton of stuff one could do with it. Sadly the game is not mainstream enough for bigger dev teams to even hear about this idea..
Maybe they should patent it just in case xD

Re: Genshin Impact's Already Enormous Open World Grows Even Bigger in New PS5, PS4 Update

@themightyant: Thanks for the explanations^^ I'm not opposed to long games, I play all the longest JRPGs (DQ11, the Persona and Trails-series, most recently Metaphor, etc.). What I don't like is the feeling of wasting time, when I'm only fetch-questing or gathering the same materials over and over again.
In that sense I don't think Genshin would be too bad. I'll try to get to it some day^^

Re: PS5 Pro Could Seriously Improve the Quality of Your PS4 Games

I probably won't replay much PS4 games in the next couple years. There is too much new stuff to play these days. By the time PS6 comes out I assume not only will we have a pretty good read on the improovements, they'll probably be more solid too. That'll be my time to test it all out^^

Re: Opinion: The Price of Playing PS5 Games Day One Is Getting Higher and Higher

@get2sammyb I just don't think early access is the new "release date" or "day 1" and shouldn't be viewed as that. By that logic wouldn't day 1 be the review codes YouTubers and game websites get? And by extension wouldn't the games than be at its cheapest (free) xD
Don't mean to be nitpicky, I guess the term "day 1" just has a different meaning depending on who you're asking. I also don't see it used in official announcements.

Re: Opinion: The Price of Playing PS5 Games Day One Is Getting Higher and Higher

Personally I find the article a little misleading. There is no way to confirm people are buying the more expensive edition because of early access or all the other included stuff. Also we can't talk about prices going up just because of a mostly 3 day difference.
On the other hand there are plenty of games that are discounted before they even come out. I see no one complaining about that.
I for one am never so desperate to shell out more cash just to play a mostly inferior game earlier, quite the opposite in fact. If history thaught us anything, it's smarter to wait a month or two for patches and skip all the potential headaches of buggyness^^
But to each his own I guess. The market will always be on the edge of what is acceptable for customers. But there will almost always be ways to circumvent it or lessen the blow to the wallet.
