I only bought handhelds as long as there were games on it I couldn't play anywhere else. If it's just a portable PS5 there is no reason for me not to play on my TV with an actual PS5.
As someone who actually played around 30 hours of the game so far, the controversy surrounding it is way overblown. I thought it would be much worse. It's still not good and there is definitely some small stuff I don't like (like black elves, everyone bi, one of the companions missing a leg, no big tits slider xD), but overall so far nothing that made me delete the game. And I delete games pretty quickly^^
Really like the approach with different trophy sets. More dev teams should do this. This adds replayability and can incentivise you to play certain games completely differently. There is a ton of stuff one could do with it. Sadly the game is not mainstream enough for bigger dev teams to even hear about this idea..
Maybe they should patent it just in case xD
For me it's not too little, too late. More like too early. This game clearly isn't polished or updated enough for my tastes xD funny how the game is also at its cheapest, when it's at its best
Atlus sure is one of my more liked devs. If only they could get rid of the calender system xD I play those games DESPITE that, but I'm sure I'd replay them more often without one. Just my preference though..I know I'm in the minority on this...
23 % negative's still better than 1023 % negative xD I'd give 'em some time. If they're still failing this time next year THEN I'll write them off^^ still looking forward to one or two games from them
@themightyant: Thanks for the explanations^^ I'm not opposed to long games, I play all the longest JRPGs (DQ11, the Persona and Trails-series, most recently Metaphor, etc.). What I don't like is the feeling of wasting time, when I'm only fetch-questing or gathering the same materials over and over again. In that sense I don't think Genshin would be too bad. I'll try to get to it some day^^
Now we know why the PS3 emulation is taking so long. They want to integrate PSSR into it with the PS6 and make all the games look like Horizon xD kidding aside, looking forward to this feature if it's still available on the next gen console (:
I was a little surprised when I randomly decided to watch the overview trailer and saw combat in it xD might look into it deeper some time later when it's out, but right now my plate is already very full^^
@themightyant: what is it, that took so much time for you anyway? Leveling all the chars? Gathering materials? I'm sure I would stick with 3-5 so that at least would not be an issue for me. Only thing bothering me from when I played it are the restrictions for leveling up.
Tried out all 3 and in the end chose Warrior, but if I like the game enough by the end of it I might start another run with the mage in a couple years^^
Wow, I play around 2000 hours a year, so I would have missed all the games that came out in the last 5+ years, if I played Genshin Impact? I'd like to give it a try one day, but I don't think I'll go over 100h with it xD my conscience woudn't let me..
maybe I'll watch some YT videos with all the main story parts. That would be the most appealing part for me anyway..
It's good this happened so early. It was a big waste, but they can really analyse this and avoid future failures. Not that it matters to me, I don't own Sony stock or something xD
I WOULD like them to keep existing in a strong position though as it's my preferred console manufacturer^^
I almost play exclusively second and third party games, so this does nothing to me. Only budding franchise that interests me currently is the Ghost-one.
Funny how much stock people put in other opinions. I'm about 5 hours into the game right now and there is some really stupid stuff in so far, but nothing world-shaking in my opinion. If it gets too much I'll jump to the next game on my list^^
@LuXifer: I don't think the first two are bad. In fact it was Cold Steel 2 that made me into a fan. Maybe just try them out and see for yourself if you vibe with em or not (:
I probably won't replay much PS4 games in the next couple years. There is too much new stuff to play these days. By the time PS6 comes out I assume not only will we have a pretty good read on the improovements, they'll probably be more solid too. That'll be my time to test it all out^^
It all depends where you're looking at. I think gaming is as creative as it's ever been. But you have to go to the indies for that. One of the reasons I decided to skip PS5 Pro is that I find myself playing a lot of 2D style indie games^^
@get2sammyb I just don't think early access is the new "release date" or "day 1" and shouldn't be viewed as that. By that logic wouldn't day 1 be the review codes YouTubers and game websites get? And by extension wouldn't the games than be at its cheapest (free) xD Don't mean to be nitpicky, I guess the term "day 1" just has a different meaning depending on who you're asking. I also don't see it used in official announcements.
Personally I find the article a little misleading. There is no way to confirm people are buying the more expensive edition because of early access or all the other included stuff. Also we can't talk about prices going up just because of a mostly 3 day difference.
On the other hand there are plenty of games that are discounted before they even come out. I see no one complaining about that.
I for one am never so desperate to shell out more cash just to play a mostly inferior game earlier, quite the opposite in fact. If history thaught us anything, it's smarter to wait a month or two for patches and skip all the potential headaches of buggyness^^
But to each his own I guess. The market will always be on the edge of what is acceptable for customers. But there will almost always be ways to circumvent it or lessen the blow to the wallet.
@themightyant Not that it really matters to me, but it's hard even for people working at Sony to predict right now. Sony can and will adjust their plans depending on the market as they always do, but if nothing major happens, I still think the PS6 will release in 4+ years (meaning 2028 or later to be clear).
@Kalime78 Wow, you sound quite confident. However I'll stick with my 4 year speculation. I see no reason for Sony to react to a new console from Microsoft anymore and Sony never released a new system after 6 years. I wouldn't mind it though, just saying 2 years sounds unrealistic to me^^ No matter when the next PS comes I'll be there anyway
Wow, is it allowed to be this happy? Only bangers to play and my wishlist is also bursting with exciting games as well as couple thing on my backlog and some I wanna play "new game+" style. Now THIS on top of all that!
I think I'll spend my whole vacation for games this time xD

Re: Kratos Voice Actor Denies Multiple God of War Announcements
very suspicious to write OUR in all caps. Probably suggesting a remaster of the old God of War titles.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows To Overhaul Series' Sedentary Stealth Mechanics
@Paramahansa: It was a joke based on the discourse around the game. But it WOULD be funny if you could actually kill one of 'em with the other xD

@NintenGuy: Yeah, seems to be the excuse for everything these days^^
Re: PS Plus Black Friday Discounts Again Seem Completely Random
I always get a note from Sony when my sub is about to expire. So far I was always offered a discount if I extended, which I always did so far.
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows To Overhaul Series' Sedentary Stealth Mechanics
Can I assassinate one of the protagonists?

I played about 10 hours so far, gonna continue over the x-mas holidays

Game deserves it too. Just finished it yesterday. Also I find myself enjoying 2D games more than 3D these days xD
Re: 'No Plans' for Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Pro Patch, CD Projekt Red Confirms

I wouldn't replay it much sooner anyway

Re: Vast Majority of Gamers Say Elden Ring DLC Should Never Have Been Nominated for Game of the Year
@Nf157: Didn't suggest that. The way it's now it's "adapting" way too often and for the wrong - mostly financial - reasons.
Re: Sony Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Elden Ring Dev's Parent Company Kadokawa Corp
I think I'd actually like this. It just kind of feels right for me. Don't like Souls Games but still.
Re: Vast Majority of Gamers Say Elden Ring DLC Should Never Have Been Nominated for Game of the Year
This is why we need REAL game awards with rules that aren't changed every year.

By reducing costs I would mean lower than 100 million cost but not lower than 30 or 50 million or whatever Slitterhead cost.
Re: Disgruntled PS5 Pro Owners Campaign to Disable Support After Slew of Shoddy Patches
every rushed update has a bigger risk for problems. PSSR implementation was never gonna be an exception to that rule.
